"The flat is in a fantastic location."
It’s a good size and each room has plenty of space. It was light and airy. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment, cutlery and crockery. It needs a guide on how to use the hob - we struggled with that initially. We liked having a parking space and I would rent the property again. 2 points to make the stay easier: 1. Only having one set of keys was a MASSIVE problem for us. Lyme Bay gave us a second set but they didn’t open the ground floor entrance which was our problem door. As you share the entrance with the top flat, who independently lock that entrance door, we were finding members of our group were locked in and couldn’t get out or locked out but couldn’t get in, even though people were in the flat. Phone signal was patchy so they couldn’t even phone us! It was infuriating and would prevent me from rebooking without the guarantee of 2 sets of keys.it was a big issue for us as we didn’t all come and go at the same time. 2. Easier arrival instructions. If you don’t know that the main car park is not Underhill, it’s hugely confusing. We thought the area in front of the flat was where we were meant to park. Please amend arrival instructions to suggest people park outside the property to unload luggage and then take the car to Underhill car park , which is BEHIND the property, not in front. Having discovered where Underhill car park is, the reserved space is easy to find and we’ll sign posted.

"Fantastic location and that's what you pay for."
Take into consideration you have people/families and below you which can be noisy and the table outside means people from your house can be outside at night talking which is heard through the open windows and is annoying. I would not use Sykes again as communication on app is so slow.

"The property was fine but we had a problem with the front door and were not able to get out, we tried calling the emergency number and left a message but no one called us back, after some time the person from upstairs came back and let us out as we were trapped."
I called the office the next day to complain and asked for a call back, still waiting!!

"Had a fantastic holiday at 2 Cobb view."
The property was very clean, generally well appointed. The location was excellent and we had a lovely week away. However, we asked for and was told a travel cot would be in the property, that didn’t happen. With a baby in tow you can imagine that caused us an issue to sort on the first day of our arrival after a long journey. It needs new sofas, the one opposite the window is incredibly lumpy and uncomfortable to sit on. Finally, it’s worth noting on the listing that the floors above carry the sound very badly - the family above us moving made the doors in our apartment shake and conversations carried. It didn’t cause an issue for us, but with a lighter sleeping baby or for those irritated by such things it would do.

Everything we needed. Comfortable. Lovely view. Handy for everything... Just one thing the decking was very very slippery and needed to be sorted. Could do with an outside light for evenings when coming in.

"2 Cobb View is a wonderful holiday place with amazing views of The Cobb, the sea and the waiting to sail boats."
The flat is equipped with everything you might need for your stay, it is warm and cosy and really has that special home away from home feeling. The recently refurbished kitchen was a treat, enjoying meals at the white table with benches really gave us that beach holiday feeling, even if in winter! Not least, we were spoiled with a lovely welcome pack which we thoroughly enjoyed! Definitely planning to return and would highly recommend 2 Cobb View to anyone looking for an accommodation with a view in the area. Thank you!

"This is a wonderful property."
Very comfortable and clean. The welcome package was lovely....more than we expected by far but that touch made a big difference. The location was perfect....right on the bay and an easy walk to the shops, restaurants and the Cobb. The kitchen was very spacious and well equipped with everything we needed. My only small negative was the use of a key to lock the lobby from the inside. You could only get out of the building with the key. It seems a latch system would be a safer option. I would highly recommend this property and would stay again.

"An excellent apartment with modern fittings."
Super setting in that it overlooks the Cobb without being right next to the 'passing crowds'. You can drop off your stuff within a short walk of the front door and the provided car park is very close and greatly appreciated. Only suggestion is that there is no source of direct heat in the lounge so to be warm (it was a cold and damp week) you had to use the efficient central heating system but then heat the whole appt. We will be back.

"This was our second visit to the property and we were just as happy this time around."
We find it very comfortable and especially well located. We know Lyme very well having been visiting for 40 years.As I now have mobility issues I find I can get around with my walking aid and visit all my old haunts. We find the flat tastefully decorated and we enjoy the art work which makes for a relaxing atmosphere. As our party includes two couples we appreciated having two sets of keys this year.

As most in Lyme don’t. Having taken very elderly in-laws away, having a car park spot was perfect.

"We were very disappointed by the lack of cleanliness to the property and even more disappointed of the dismissive attitude from Lyme Bay holidays to our complaint."
We found dirty mugs, cutlery, chopping board, congealed food on a dish, table & benches not clean & dirty shower base during our stay. Yet the website states access delayed: " to allow for the additional & enhanced cleaning procedures required". Yet one email response to our complaint from you stated: "a standard clean had been undertaken at the property." It would appear that even this standard was not achieved let alone any enhanced cleaning procedures. Our complaint to you was dismissed saying we had refused cleaners and could not provide photos. We arrived about 4.15pm on 3rd June and wanted a cup of tea to then find dirty mugs & cutlery. My husband has an autoimmune condition and my first thoughts were to provide a clean and safe environment for him, not to take photos for yourselves. We also did not refuse cleaners. We told Martin we had already had to deal with the issues and clean the items in order to be able to eat and drink in a clean environment. I do not expect to have to provide the cleaning service myself. If there are Lyme Bay Holidays rules for providing proof of any complaint then they should be given to the client before arrival and not after the complaint has been made. Our complaint was not dealt with properly, it has not been resolved to our satisfaction and certainly the property cleanliness and the supposed service from yourselves was not worth the price we paid for the week. It spoilt our holiday.
