  • "Beautiful property, very well equipped, beautifully furnished and very clean."

Lovely touches like the welcome pack, coffee pods, eco friendly cleaning products. We had such a relaxing stage which was just what we needed

  • "Truly wonderful property!"

The deck is so magnificent we cancelled our evening restaurant bookings to enjoy our time there. Extremely well equipped and spotlessly clean, we had a great time and will definitely consider a return stay if/when visiting Lyme Regis again. Only two tiny suggestions for improvement – the pittosporum still needs a heavy trim, as it does obscure some of the view, and a cable car for the hill would be perfection ;)

So pleased you enjoyed the house. As to your first suggestion: things have been growing so fast over the past month or so, and our gardener has made me aware of the ever-sprouting pittosporum: Once she's established that there are no birds nesting, she'll cut it back. As for your second : what a nice idea! But I'm not sure we'd get the planning permission!! On the plus side, walking up the hill is a great way to burn calories!! You are, of course, more than welcome to return... Property Owner

  • "We stayed at this property in 2023 to truly loved it."

The house is beautiful, clean, stunning views and basically has everything you could want. We were so sad when it was time to leave, so once home, I immediately booked it for 2024, for a long weekend to celebrate my 50th birthday with family. Again, the house didn't disappoint!! My parents came along and stayed in an air b&b down the road, they were also very impressed by the house. 100% recommend this house and sykes cottages, we'll definitely be staying here again!

So pleased you love the house and thank you so much for your nice comments. Property Owner

  • "Another very enjoyable holiday at 7CC."

A few years since we've stayed, I like the new decoration and upgrade to the bathrooms. Very good dishwasher and washing machine. The double bed is the same - too small and with annoying bedside tables. A pity the cushions for outside seating seem to have disappeared. The large shrubs need a lot of cutting back as they now obscure the view of the coastline from part of the deck.

Thanks very much for your thoughts: I'm very pleased to hear that you had another enjoyable holiday and appreciated the various upgrades to the house. As for your other points, the "double bed" is actually a king size (see property description). I know - I bought it and bought a replacement mattress for it a couple of years ago. As you rightly say, the previous outdoor dining chairs, which were metal, used to have cushions, but what sometimes happened was that guests left them out in the rain and they got ruined. The new chairs have soft, all-weather fabric seating and don't actually need cushions. Finally, we were at the house ourselves just last weekend and I can vouch that any shrubs that may have obscured the view have all been dealt with. From the upper deck, there's still the same magnificent view of Lyme Bay, right round to Portland Bill. Property Owner

The house comes equipped with just about everything you could want and is finished to a very high standard especially the kitchen and bathrooms. The sofa is one of the most comfortable we've sat on

  • "We found property lacked outdoor furniture and as example there was no furniture in lower decked where there was shade."

Sorry for your disappointment. However, in 12 years of letting the property, this is the first time we have heard anyone express a desire to sit outside at the lower level. There are no views and it is primarily the means to enter the house. The upper deck has a large table, 6 chairs (the house sleeps 5 people max), a large parasol for shade, a two-seater sofa and side table, two comfortable sun loungers and truly wonderful views. We hope you enjoyed the other features and comforts the house has to offer. Property Owner

  • "7 Coram Court is an ideal place to stay in Lyme Regis."

Whilst its position near the top of Pound Street - a steep hill - may be difficult for some people with reduced mobility given the hourly bus service into town and limited availability of taxis, once at the property, the views are over Lyme Bay are unsurpassed and the facilities top-notch with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, an additional lavatory, kitchen-diner, living room overlooking the bay all beautifully decorated and furnished. Added to this, the large wrap-around deck on the front and side of the top-floor that provides sun all day long, two dedicated car-parking spaces and easy access to the Sidmouth Road made my stay a pleasure whilst the fact that the house was fully equipped was an unexpected but most welcome benefit. My only negative point is that the family bathroom lacked a non-slip bath mat that could be placed into the bath whilst showering. I fell whilst attempting to get out of the bath due to the slope of the bath and being someone with good mobility, can see that others will also struggle. This is a minor point and not something that will prevent me from returning - as I hope to do next year if permitted -- but is a concern that could easily be addressed.

Thanks very much or your thoughtful review, and we're very pleased you enjoyed the house. There always used to be a non-slip mat in the family bathroom: it must have gone astray, and I have now instructed Lyme Bay Holidays to replace it. Property Owner

  • "Spectacular views over Lyme Bay to Portland."

In the 20 years we have been visiting Lyme Regis this is the best equipped property and most beautifully finished interior. We loved the location but it might challenge someone who would have a struggle to walk the hill. This is however offset by the property having onsite parking for two cars. Again a new and very welcome experience for us.

  • "This was the best holiday home that we have stayed in as a family."

After a long journey, the welcome pack and milk in the fridge was really appreicated. The house was really well-equipped and very comfortable with magnificent views across Lyme Bay. We would definitely recommend you and will hopefully return as we loved Lyme Regis. We really appreciated the eco-friendly cleaning products and eco-rubbish bags - often we have to provide our own! My only recommendation would be that I would have liked to have seen a recycling bin/compost bin in the house with clear instructions provided for each bin with what can/cannot be recycled (most people are generally very confused about recycling!). We sorted all our rubbish (except the food waste as we noticed this facility too late) and either took it home or used the communal bins. With such good council facilities, the rubbish bin could have been used as a recycling bin with a further smaller bin for rubbish. I think that together with your eco-friendly cleaning products this would be a really good selling point for your holiday homes. Thank you once again!

  • "Clean, beautifully decorated, modern."

Everything had been thought out well. Excellent mattress, good quality sofas and dining chairs. Fantastic balcony with the best view ever. Plenty of very good quality garden/ balcony seating and table. High spec shower, 3 toilets. If it was for sale, we would have bought the place. Seagulls make themselves known, but we took it as an opportunity to understand them better and watch their antics.
