"Property is perfect - the view, the cleanliness, the comfort of furniture etc."
perfect! I could not fault anything and the decor is very tasteful. WiFi is not great - just helpful for people to know in advance. Collecting key from the office was irritating. We arrived early and started to enjoy the beach, then realised the key was a 20 minute walk uphill away. This needs to be clearer. The long stay car park was £45 for 3 days and a 13 minute walk uphill - this wouldn’t be easy for everyone and adds quite a bit to the holiday. Lastly the nearest car park to offload barely has any free spaces during the day and if you can get one it is still a 3 or so minute walk along the esplanade and then up 2 flights of stairs. We would absolutely stay again - just think this information clearly known in advance would be helpful to allow people to plan.

"Wonderful, comfy place with excellent views and an impeccable location."
Loved the little goodie bag left for us - the tea and coffee came in very handy as we got in late and did not have time to pick anything up before arrival. There was even a small container of milk for our tea and coffee which was a nice touch. We loved our stay and wish it had been for longer than just 5 days.

"Excellent. Thanks for a great experience."
Please remind folk to turn on the WiFi booster. Didn't find it until holiday nearly finished. Parking . Got a ticket at council car park. I accidentally purchased a private car space by mistake. Shame. Not your fault.

"Lovely, bright and very clean apartment in the most perfect location."
All basic facilities available including a washing machine which was a nice surprise and came in handy when travelling with two small children with a love for chocolate ice cream! The welcome pack with tea, biscuits, flapjacks, fudge, coffee and milk was much appreciated too. Only negative was that the 3 rugs/runners desperately need grip underlays to avoid an accident and to keep them looking tidy as you can’t walk on them without them sliding all over the place on the wooden floor so they were a bit annoying - but it’s a minor negative! We had a wonderful time and will certainly be returning, thank you.

"Communication was terrible, I tried booking it via air B and B and asked question on the size of the second room to see if space to fit a travel cote, had one generic reply and asked again four more time and zero reply I then called, each time I called I was on hold over 10 mins before anyone answered, very poor indeed On arrival we called and again a long time to pick up and we had been given HQ number not the local one so they couldn’t help us locate the property, had to transfer us."
Quite shocking as it wasn’t a one off it was every time I called which was four times in total Corridors smelt of fish and cooking which came up from the restaurant down stairs which was not pleasant and very noisy upstairs maybe they don’t have carpets? Apartment itself was lovely, fantastic views , I would t suggest more than 2 people stay as be very crowded unless have children then maybe at a stretch

"Comfortable with great position."
An outside light to aid with keypad in winter would be helpful.

"Having stayed at Starfish now 3x I really enjoy the location and peaceful atmosphere at the time of year as well as the comfortable surroundings of the property."
My only complaint would be the check out time of 10.00am on a day that is still holiday, not allowing enough time for relaxing packing and a comfortable breakfast

"Fantastic position and quality of flat."
Our only small concerns.... Most kitchens have basics of salt, pepper, a little sugar. The cafetiere is broken - we thought we'd fixed it, but it didn't last. The rugs feel hazardous, we moved them out the way - rug grips help? The office did not know about 3/7-day permits for parking, which we did find in Woodmead. Expensive, but better for us than running up the hill by 8am each morning.

"We have stayed in one of these bay apartments before, but Starfish far surpassed the other."
After reading a previous review about cleanliness I was concerned, but it was spotless so I expect the owners had acted on the previous comments. Thank you. My 92 year old mom and I (with mobility issues) managed the stairs no problem. The views are outstanding and mom spent a lot of time in the window seat. It is Well stocked and the treats on arrival were lovely and very useful. The clean spacious bathroom with a large step in shower made life easier for us. We had a great stay despite unpredictable weather. One negative feedback I do wish rentals would always used a thick moisture proof pillow protector which are changed between clients. This would reduce the infection risk as a single pillow case is not a suitable protection for infection particularly with flu and covid around.

"Hi all Absolutely perfect location and the most amazing views."
We love the goody bag, very thoughtful, however wanted to add a bit of constructive criticism : It would have been nice to have a cafetière in the property to use the coffee. -We realise its high season, however I would expect high standards when paying £750 for 2 nights,:so when a few basics were not met we left disappointed: -No shower gel, body gel? -The apartment is particularly dusty/ dirty especially around the window seating, kitchen cuboards etc. the place really does need a good deep clean/ vacuum -when we arrived , we found rubbish on the toilet floor, including dental floss/mini flosser, toilet holder ( see pic) Thanks
Thank you for your comments, we're pleased to hear that you enjoyed the views offered from the apartment. We have passed on your comments regarding cleanliness to our Housekeeping Team for review, and are sorry to hear that you did not find it to our normal standards. We do not provide personal consumables for guests, but do provide a starter supply of toilet rolls, bin bags, hand soaps, washing-up liquid, cloths. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

"Our stay at the Starfish was very enjoyable from start to finish."
The apartment was well furnished, kitchen was well equipped, comfortable and clean and in a fabulous position on the Marine Parade with spectacular sea and coastal views which could be seen from the bay window seat. It's very well positioned for the bars, restaurants and shops as well- we will be returning! Maybe a broader range of programmes on the TV? Sometimes you just want to stay in in the evening after a long full day of being out and about and settle down. Parking was a bit of a challenge but once we had found the car park and sorted the parking out with a seven day permit it was fine. However, the car parks are a bit of a walk away and up hill but this does keep you fit

"This is our second stay in this group of flats."
It’s in a stunning location with fabulous views out to sea. The flat had good facilities and was spotlessly clean. It was good to have milk, tea and coffee there for us. The bed and sofa were comfortable. It was straightforward to unload the car very close to the flats and then move it to a long stay car park 10 or 15 minutes walk away. The only snag - and it was an issue for us - was that the wifi was often poor quality, particularly in the evening. It seems that this is shared with other flats as there was no router. There was a booster in the flat which we were able to reboot and this did help occasionally. On a very minor note, the filters on the cafetière were loose and could not be tightened - so unusable.
We're pleased to welcome you back! Thank you for the feedback about the cafetiere - we will look into this. The owner recently provided the WIFI extenders as a means of helping with the signal within the apartment. Unfortunately WIFI can not be guaranteed, and the number of users at a time can impact on the speed. We hope this didn't spoil your stay too much. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

"Delightful to find the little sachet of goodies upon arrival — after a long day of travel!"
Beautiful location right on the ocean. We also enjoyed our fist dinner at Tom’s. Thanks for being so accessible, as I prepared for our holiday! All the best, Margaret Keller

"Lovely property, really well appointed!"
Comfy beds, great facilities, plenty of space. Fantastic location! Will definitely be returning!

"3rd visit and again enjoyed our time at Starfish."
Unfortunately the windows are not air tight in the lounge and kitchen so very drafty. Shower unit needs some attention as the sealant is dirty. There is still an area in the lounge by the window that needs painting. Starfish is a lovely apartment with beautiful views, we will hopefully return next year

What a great apartment. Perfect location, views and comfort. Nice touch leaving the milk and welcome gifts. 10 out of 10 for this property.
