"An absolutely lovely flat, so clean and lovely."
The position is brilliant right in the middle of things in the town. The flat has been done up to a very high standard with everything supplied you could possibly need. Leon the owner was great and we really enjoyed meeting him in the tapas restaurant below the flat that he runs as well, delicious food and lovely sangria.

Clean, comfy and spacious. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend a visit.

"We were the first people to rent this first floor apartment and we booked late morning on the first day of stay due to another booking being cancelled unexpectedly."
Lewis, the lovely owner pulled out all the stops to enable us to stay for 3 nights. On arrival, Lewis was literally putting finishing touches to the apartment and there were a few small snags, including the apartment being really cold but Lewis went out of his way to put those things right immediately and they were just teething problems for a newly refurbished apartment. Once the heating was on, it warmed up very quickly. The super king bed was super comfy (slightly on the soft side) and the lounge/kitchen/diner is a lovely space. Although the sofa(bed) is firm, it was comfortable enough to watch TV etc (and the world go by out the window) and the snuggle chair was also welcome. The kitchen is really well equipped, I think the only thing you could add would be a cafetière and maybe add some doggy treats for pets and a water bowl and maybe a blanket for the dog. But we brought our own anyway, so all good there. Our only disappointment was that the bath was only about 2/3 length of a normal bath and you cannot recline in it as per the description, only sit in it. The bathroom ceiling is low and my husband was unable to stand under the shower head. We paid a little more for this apartment over the others that were available in the building because it had a bath, which I love. So sadly that was a disappointment. The Plaza Tapas bar downstairs is great and the Italian opposite is also superb. Lewis and his sister Beth run the restaurant as well as the Apartments, and they look after them really well. The parking was a little bit of an issue as there were not many spaces on Park Road as advertised and it is a steep hill which we don't mind, but others might find a little difficult, especially for unloading and loading up the car. Although the description says there are spaces outside for an hour set down and available all day Sunday we only found a space once. The town was busier than usual for March because it was the Blues festival which we didn't know so this may be why parking was more difficult. On the Saturday the restaurant below had a gig going on and this was very loud in the apartment. We didn't mind that at all (love blues) but if you had come with children and were staying in the building, it might have been an issue. The flat is on the High Street so can get a bit noisy at night down below. Lewis left some milk and teabags etc in for us and even dropped off some little Prosecco bottles for our birthday celebrations, plus a new throw for the sofa when we suggested it. Our dog was very comfortable there and made welcome in the local pubs and the tapas bar below, which was a bonus. Overall a lovely apartment in a great location, just 2 min walk to the beach, good facilities around, lovely walks - you can walk to Durlston Country Park easily and access the SW coastal path nearby.

About the location
SWANAGE
Wareham 9.7 miles; Poole 20 miles.
The small, family-friendly seaside resort of Swanage is situated at the eastern end of Dorset’s famous Jurassic Coast, on the celebrated Isle of Purbeck and is probably best known for its wonderful, gently shelving golden sands. The little town offers visitors plenty of shops, good pubs and restaurants, some of which specialise in locally caught seafood, and is also well known for its annual jazz festival, which takes place each July. The attractive, Victorian wooden pier offers a great place for a stroll or try fishing, and often used a departure point for divers, it’s a wonderful place to watch the world pass by. The historic Swanage Railway has its terminus in the town and regular nostalgic steam engine trips take tourists for a picturesque 6-mile journey, chugging through lovely countryside to stop just beyond the romantic ruin of Corfe Castle. Nearby Durlston Country Park offers a lovely day out with spectacular coastal walks, dolphin spotting and wildlife watching, together with comfortable viewing points and a well-stocked cafe for a treat after all the fresh air. Take the short drive to Studland, which has one of the finest beaches in the country, surrounded by heathland, together with the regular chain ferry, which crosses the mouth of Poole Harbour to Sandbanks. This truly is a delightful holiday destination at any time of the year.
