  • "Seaforth has everything you would need to enjoy your stay at the cottage."

We all enjoyed the facilities of the garden, tv’s in the bedrooms, and close proximity to the sea and town. It was very well presented when we arrived, One criticism would be the bed pillows. Some were lumpy , not good or comfortable , Parking is a bit of a pain but when we found the long stay car park , it was very near the cottage and cost around £50 for the week. All in all we would recommend Seaforth for a stay in swanage.

  • "Lovely stay, the house is in a great location for both town/shops and the coastal path for great dog walks."

No complaints, was a great base for a working holiday Tips for other holidaymakers, don’t use the toilet/washing machine if someone is in the shower! Make use of the garden seating as an extra room.

  • "Very pleased with the booking."

The location is perfect. Three bedrooms/ pet friendly. Little garden (we couldn’t really use it due to the weather) but it’s great if you have a dog with you. Also great to have facilities such as a washing machine / dish washer. Very likely to book again.

  • "Great location, lovely cottage overall."

Would be 5 stars if we could have got the shower temperature right and the bed didn’t creak every time we moved. Other than that absolutely perfect.

  • "We had a wonderful time at Seaforth."

The location was perfect for the beach, pier and the town. The house was clean and fitted with all the amenities to make life easy. It was great to have a back garden with comfortable seating and a dining area outside with a barbeque. We would definitely book Seaforth again.

Thank you very much for the lovely feedback and so glad you enjoyed your stay. Best wishes Wendy Property Owner

Our only complaint would be that the oven door wouldn't close properly

  • "A great holiday cottage in a good location."

Fitted our needs perfectly for a weeks stay. A comfortable home away from home, with a good garden space to enjoy the nice weather we had when we weren’t out and about visiting the many sites around Swanage. Thanks for a wonderful holiday, we hope to stay again in the future.

  • "The location of the cottage was perfect."

Just off the high street, less than 5 mins to the beach, less than 5 the other way to the car park. Felt very safe in the cottage It was clean and felt recently refurbished which was brilliant Nice little touches and personalisations in every room. Was very cosy and homely with every space fully utilised Bonios for the dogs with towels (towels not used but great touch) Outside space was compact but comfortable with the sun in the garden until lunchtime so made for a lazy start to the day! There were 2 of us with 2 big dogs. I would not have liked to stay there if there were 6 of us as the spaces were small and communal areas tight

  • "Great location."

We ate out most nights but the kitchen space/dinning area is a good size. Nice outside area. 2 of the bedrooms good sizes and bunks for children. Bathroom small but serves its purpose. Quiet even though close to high street( we stayed in November) Cheap 24hr parking close by only a £1 a day. Nice little touches of dog treats, toiletries. The only thing i would of liked was a smart Tv so we could of logged onto our Netflix as we're used to Sky etc so struggled to find something in the evenings to watch, but wasnt a problem. Would recommend this property as Swanage is a good base to explore. Thank you

  • "The cottage is great, really well equipped with quality furnishings."

Very dog friendly with a sun-trap garden to sit in. Very close to town so easy access for the shops, restaurants, pubs and beach. This does mean it can be a bit noisy at times late evening, when people leave the pubs and the club. It was perfect for us because I like to leave the car and walk as much as possible on holiday and it was very close to the Coastal path. We would definitely stay again.

  • "Cosy cottage in a fantastic location just seconds away down a steep lane to the quayside, wonderful views and walks."

Cottage is really well equipped and comfortable. We loved the courtyard garden, a real sun trap in the day, retaining the heat to sit out in the evening. We managed to park on Park Street all of the time, very steep road but still convenient for the cottage.

  • "Lovely cottage, small but comfortable and clean, Wonderful beds, slept really good."

Only thing I would fix is the shower head, you have to hold to use, would be nice if they fixed it so it would work in place, just need to tighten a few screws there. Otherwise, great value and very good location.

About the location

SWANAGE

Wareham 9.7 miles; Poole 20 miles.

The small, family-friendly seaside resort of Swanage is situated at the eastern end of Dorset’s famous Jurassic Coast, on the celebrated Isle of Purbeck and is probably best known for its wonderful, gently shelving golden sands. The little town offers visitors plenty of shops, good pubs and restaurants, some of which specialise in locally caught seafood, and is also well known for its annual jazz festival, which takes place each July. The attractive, Victorian wooden pier offers a great place for a stroll or try fishing, and often used a departure point for divers, it’s a wonderful place to watch the world pass by. The historic Swanage Railway has its terminus in the town and regular nostalgic steam engine trips take tourists for a picturesque 6-mile journey, chugging through lovely countryside to stop just beyond the romantic ruin of Corfe Castle. Nearby Durlston Country Park offers a lovely day out with spectacular coastal walks, dolphin spotting and wildlife watching, together with comfortable viewing points and a well-stocked cafe for a treat after all the fresh air. Take the short drive to Studland, which has one of the finest beaches in the country, surrounded by heathland, together with the regular chain ferry, which crosses the mouth of Poole Harbour to Sandbanks. This truly is a delightful holiday destination at any time of the year.
