  • "We had a lovely stay at Ham Cottage, perfect location for what we had planned to do."

Owners are very helpful and accommodating. Garden is beautiful, added bonus of the tennis court which my son really enjoyed. We would recommend and will rebook when we visit family again.

  • "Wonderful cottage with lovely private (rose) garden and tennis court."

Very comfortable with nice beds, great shower, a good equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washer/dryer. Netflix installed and several other streaming channels and WiFi. Just lovely! A good pub at 5 minutes walk and east lambrook gardens as neighbour. Close to everything we needed (supermarket etc) and wanted to visit. Will be going back in the future! Very recommendable!

  • "Thank you for such great week in your well equipped cottage, we were lucky with the weather too."

It was lovely to meet you both. We were very comfortable and had everything we needed. ( mirrors in the bedrooms would be nice for the ladies). Plenty to see in the area and we got lots of walking in. The pub in the village was a bonus for eating out in walking distance. Thank you again.

  • "The property was very lovely and we enjoyed our stay very much."

It was nice that we could use the barbecue, although we didn't. But the garden was nice and big for the dog to stroll around with. The tennis court made my childrens stay active and energetic. They were happy to play till their hearts were content. The house was really nice and there were no real problems during our stay. Although the blind fell off the wall in the master bedroom. But this was fixed by someone the next morning. And it didn't affect my nights sleep. I managed to put it back up. But the fixings were not very good any more.

  • "Lounge furniture tired and threadbare on arms of chairs."

Decoration in dining room needed with plaster coming off end wall. Very surprised that no welcome pack on arrival which is poor as all the properties we have rented through Sykes previously have provided this. Not even a bottle of milk. a shower mat would have been useful as would some soap in bathroom. Otherwise lovely quiet grounds. Friendly host.

Had everything we could wish for ( although some soap would have been nice ). Comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen - would return . Had a lovely stay , thank you.

  • "Nice cottage in a very good location with plenty of outside and inside space, kitchen was well equipped and the wood burner was lovely."

We really enjoyed our stay. The doors stuck a little bit (will have swelled during winter) so could do with a plane as some internal doors wouldn't shut and the back door was difficult to open. Additionally it would've been nice to have some more basic supplies provided like soap in the bathroom or more than 2 loo rolls for the week.

  • "A lovely, very well furnished and equipped cottage."

Spacious, too, with a large outside lawn and BBQ area. Great for a dog. East Lambrook village is very quiet and attractive with lots of walks and a pub, but is only a short distance from pretty South Petherton which has excellent small shops, (though you need to go to the excellent baker in the morning). The whole area is full of interesting places, beautiful countryside and diverse things to do, and the Jurassic coast is about 40 minutes away. Great for dogs.

The owner Julian was very helpful and lent us tennis racquets to use on the new court. This was a most enjoyable holiday due to such a lovely experience staying in Ham cottage. Lots to do nearby.

  • "Ham Cottage is spacious and comfortable."

It is in a beautiful setting within the grounds the owner’s home, and is quiet and peaceful. Garden furniture in a large area of grass is available for the use of Ham cottage residents at the back of the main house. It’s a great location for visiting several National Trust properties that are in the area.

  • "A lovely cottage in a pretty village next door to East Lambrook Manor Gardens and two minutes walk to the Rose and Crown."

Nice walks from the cittage and two National Trust properties 10 minutes drive away. I was warmly welcomed by the owner Julian who lives next door. Ham Cottage is nicely decorated, spacious rooms, comfertable beds and got everything you need. Very dog friendly with a part of the large garden to use for the guests and dogs. I will recomend some dog friendly places near by to eat: The Devonshire Arms in Long Sutton, The Farm and Field Café outside South Petherton, The Barrington Boar in Barrington snd the café at East Lambrook Manor Gardens. Nice places to visit: Barrington Court, Ford Abbey, Montacute House and East Lambrook Manor Gardens.
