  • "Dave & Pat Coles, thought that rugs on top of carpet a health and safety issue."

    Patio furniture need updating.

Thanks for your review. Sorry that you thought the rugs may present a trip hazard, this has never been an issue over the past years, but it was mentioned by the person before you, so we will fit rug fixings. The patio furniture is only two years old, so only been used for several months, but we will replace it for next season. I hope apart from those minor points you had a wonderful holiday. Best wishes, Chrissie Property Owner

  • "Placed in a quiet location on a well looked after site , comfortable & well equipped lodge however a number of small criticisms, loose rugs used to “protect “ carpet a trip hazard especially leading to bedrooms ,information folder did not include WiFi password ( I obtained from reception) hob extract fan light not working fan only works on lower settings."

Outdoor furniture disappointing only 2 comfortable armchairs,3 dining chairs 1 damaged/unuseable (reception informed) parasol base not in use on arrival however found in very untidy shed William,Margaret & Lucy

Thank you for your feedback. The WiFi code is in the information that you receive from Sykes. I’m sorry that you find rugs a potential trip hazard, this has never been an issue before, but we will ensure they are fixed. We don’t actually use them to protect the carpet, they are for added comfort & ambience, the very large feature rug coordinates with the furnishings & adds warmth & cosiness to the room. If you had let us know about the fan & broken chair during your stay, we would have immediately repaired & replaced. Unfortunately we live a long distance away, so cannot regularly check appliances, so rely on people letting us know. I’m sorry you found the shed untidy, but it’s not normally used by guests! I’m so pleased you loved how well equipped & comfortable the lodge is & were impressed with the lovely site. Best wishes, Chrissie Property Owner

  • "This is a beautiful lodge, situated on a quiet corner plot on Wilksworth Caravan Park which appears to be a well managed site."

It is confusingly not actually called Owls Nest however. It is comfortable and extremely well equipped. Great location just a few minutes out of Wimborne with all its shops, pubs and restaurants, and twenty minute to Poole. We did have a few maintenance/housekeeping issues which were quickly resolved by Sykes/owner/warden. The only recommendation I would make would be to replace the mattress on the double bed, which has seen better days and is in need of upgrading. Overall highly recommended.

Hi Helen, thanks for your lovely review. So pleased you had such a lovely time. Sorry about the name not being displayed, the sign was due to go up this year, but sadly we have been unable to visit due to my husband being extremely sick. We do have a brand-new very soft Mattress Topper on the king size bed, enabling those who prefer a soft bed to keep it on & those who prefer a firmer mattress to remove it. The mattress itself is fairly new. We hope you visit Owls Nest again in the future. Best wishes, Chrissie and Mike Property Owner

  • "We've just returned from staying at Owl's Nest and it was just amazing."

The property is perfect for a family with a dog (or without!) We were amazed at how big and spacious it was. The furnishings are really comfy and it's lovely and comfy. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and everything you need to create some great meals. It's beautifully clean and having 2 bathrooms just makes it that bit easier. The house is in a lovely setting and location, just a few miles from Poole and the beach at Sandbanks. Chrissie, the owner is super helpful and welcoming. We'll definitely be coming back !!
