  • "Great property."

A bit of maintenance needed. Shower curtain needs a wash as it has lots of mould at the bottom. New whisk needed. Three clocks in cottage need fixing. We love the cottage this was our 4th stay there

  • "The mattresses badly need replacing."

The one in the small double room is hard as rocks and mouldy ( could be serious for someone with health issues) The other mattresses are over soft. If guests cannot get a healthy good nights sleep it can ruin a holiday. The microwave cannot be timed as the control is either on or off. The garden is not dog friendly as unless you have a small car the gate cannot be shut.It is not clear that there is only one toilet and no sink in that, so causes a problem if the bathroom is in use as well The other facilities were fine and the bungalow was clean. The welcome pack and information file etc were good.

  • "This property is in a lovely setting with super views."

It is very well equipped with everything you could need in the kitchen. Lovely walks to Lyme Regis. Great not to have to use the car. There are a couple of points to consider with this property though. The property suited us as 2 adults, a teenager and a dog. However I can’t really see it working with 6 people as it’s advertised for due to the size of the kitchen/dinning room and seating in the lounge. The garden is secure which is great if you have a dog, However, it should be noted the gates on the driveway need to be shut to achieve this. We don’t have a large car so we were able to manoeuvre our car to be able to shut them. Not sure how easy this would be with a large car and certainly not with 2 cars. Unfortunately we didn’t find the sofas or mattresses particularly comfortable which meant no great night sleep for anyone. Overall the great weather and setting of the property meant we enjoyed our week away but I would be unlikely to return to this property.

  • "Everything you could possibly need is in this house."

Bright, clean and comfortable. Almost next to a bus stop. A grab bar for the shower would be a useful addition for us oldies….just an observation not a complaint.

  • "Beautiful setting, but the bungalow was tired and dated."

Considering it can accommodate six adults the kitchen would be unworkable. One ofThe two sofas in the lounge had lost its firmness so much that my husband had great difficulty in getting himself out of its grip. Saying that we had a lovely stay ,my husband myself and our Cockerpoo.

  • "Comfortable bungalow."

Thank you for welcome pack,. Mostly good weather. we enjoyed visiting Donkey Sanctuary, Bicton Botanical Gardens, Seaton Teams, A La Ronde, Forde Abbey. Also enjoyed walks at Golden Cap, Lambert's Castle and Rive Lym to Lyme Regis- crab sandwiches on sea front. Loved Black Dog Tea Rooms, only a short walk away.

Great walks, lovely sea front with enough variation to keep everyone happy. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your well loved and clean property. And the views are just outstanding!

  • "We have enjoyed our stay at Mount View with the beautiful scenery from the living room window and the short walk down to the sea front with our dog."

It was our puppy's first time at the beach and we think he thoroughly enjoyed it thanks to Mount View. The weather could have been better some days but oh well. We will be back! P.s this is out third time here!

  • "A comfortable and very clean holiday property with panoramic views over fields from the lounge window."

Ideally situated for Lyme Regis as it is only 1.5 miles via the river path or by road. Excellent service from Lyme Bay Holidays - we had to contact them when we had no hot water and when the outside clothes airer broke - both problems were rectified within 24 hours.

  • "We loved this simple cottage, with its homely feel and beautiful views."

The garden was a real bonus and our dog loved roaming around it. It is well-equipped and has a lot of nice touchs that made us feel welcome. We definitely look forward to returning to Mount View. The only feedback I can give is that we found the recycling system a bit perplexing. There's a notice to put recyclables in with the rest of the rubbish but it isn't clear if this gets sorted and recycled. We tried to find local recycling facilities with limited success.

Thank you for your feedback, we are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay. We use a company for refuse collections that sorts all waste at the facility. Apologies this was not clear to you but please rest assured that this is the system that we have in place. Property Owner

  • "The location of the accommodation is fantastic, near a bus stop that regularly runs serving all the Jurassic coast."

The accommodation in itself is comfortable although it could do with upgrading the kitchen, bathrooms and living room but this is compensated by a pleasant view of the valley from the living room and the fantastic walks by the river Lim and the surrounding areas. The staff at LBH are very helpful. I will definitely use them again next year if Sykes don’t put the prices up.

Perfect for families, the bungalow rests in magnificent, enclosed gardens which are the ideal spot for spending time alfresco; children and pets can run around safely while adults can chill out and relax in peace so everyone is a winner!

If the weather allows, then why not fire up the barbecue?

Moving inside, the property is just as inviting with a light and airy sitting room welcoming guests with an extensive seating area and beautiful views from the large windows.

The small but perfectly formed rustic-style kitchen is well equipped for everything you need to cook for the family and the dining area is a great space for gathering together and catching up with holiday news.

After a hearty breakfast (fingers crossed outside!), it’s time to plan the day’s activities and there is so much to choose from it can be hard to know where to start.

Uplyme itself is a beautifully tranquil village and forms part of the region’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty so there are loads of delightful, scenic walks to enjoy nearby.

Lyme Regis is really close too and offers a wealth of amenities including shops, eateries, a museum, aquarium, beach, harbour and causeway.

Jump in the car for a scenic drive to any one of a number of great family attractions including Pecorama, the Jurassic Fun Centre, Axe Valley Wildlife Park, Beer Quarry Caves, Dinosaurland Fossil Museum and Seaton Tramway.
