  • "Enjoyed our stay while in Lyme Regis visiting family."

A very clean and tidy house with modern bathroom and kitchen. The welcome pack was a nice touch which we appreciate. The back garden is enclosed which is ideal for the dog, although a light in the garden would be useful this time of year.

  • "The accommodation is not an easy walk from town."

Ie the final extensive hill not mentioned in the information. An outside light for the back garden would be advantageous. No where to hang coats etc.

There are coat hooks on the back of the door of the downstairs cloakroom. We’ll look into getting an outdoor light fitted. Property Owner

  • "Needed a towel in downstairs toilet."

Wardrobe sliding door needs to be repaired in main bedroom. Could do with some coat hooks on the doors.

  • "Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a lovely house."

It was very clean and comfortable and had all we needed. Only thing missing was some coat hooks! It would be helpful to have some in the hall and on the back of bedroom/bathroom doors. The garden was ideal for our dog - secure and enough space to play. Thank you.

  • "We enjoyed a very cosy break in Conybeare Cottage."

The house has everything you need and is a real home from home. It’s really comfortable and decorated nicely. The hill is steep but so is everywhere in Lyme! The location is on a new development but that was no problem for us.

  • "We had a wonderful week, cottage exceeded our expectations, cannot fault it."

My only comment would be if you have mobility issues a car is a must as the cottage is at the top of aa steep hill.

  • "Lovely property in a new housing estate."

Everything is immaculate. A real home from home, Comfy bed . There is a steep climb if you want to walk into Lyme Regis but this kept us fit.

The cottage has easy access to the SW coast path and after a hard day walking, it was lovely to come back to a well equipped house with such comfy beds. Quiet location.

I would suggest it not suitable for people that did not have use of a car.

  • "The overall experience was great."

Relaxing property and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils and a great welcoming package. There were however a couple of things unfortunately the main sheet for the bed had a small dried blood stain on it which was not nice and we had no way of changing it. We tried to hoover at the end but the Vacuum was full and had never been emptied for a long time. Also in the cloakroom there was what appeared to be brown spot splashes of perhaps coffee on the wall. Also every time we opened either the front doo or back door the lounge door to the hallway opened which meant our dog could have got out of the property. TBH none of the doors actually latch shut which is a poor builders fault not the owners. We cleared up our dog deposits but a number of them there were from other dog or dogs so we weren't clearing them up sorry.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments. Please rest assured that this has been brought up with the Linen Manager to ensure this does not happen in the future, we do apologise. We will raise your other points with the team and ensure future guests understand that it is there responsibility to pick up their dog mess. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

  • "We noticed several items as our very enjoyable week progressed."

    1. The wardrobe doors of the main bedroom have not been fitted properly And kept coming off the guide rails. We used the other one in single room. 2.A stain on the ceiling just inside lounge door. (may be leak in bathroom Fittings) 3. Wings of lounge chair grubby need cleaning.

So glad you had a good holiday. Thank you for raising those points, the owner has looked at the wardrobe doors, the leak has been fixed and the chair has been replaced. Property Owner

  • "Overall pleasant house with all expected facilities however on the downside garden was covered in bits from the trees not helped by adverse weather conditions."

Dining bench seats were hard & uncomfortable requiring cushions. Beds are far too small for 2 adults resulting in poor sleep. Overall the house is situated on a new housing development surrounded by unsold properties which accentuated the feeling of isolation

Thank you for your comments and suggestions. Conybeare is one of our newest properties, and so we will pass these onto the owner for consideration for future investment. The property is located within a new housing development in a quiet area of the town. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

  • "Nice bolt hole for a few days."

Has everything you need for a few days away and is a nice modern house with everything you need for your stay. Our only other comments are that the wall is very high in the rear garden and so children and small dogs should be supervised while out there to prevent a fall, Over all a good stay.

So glad you enjoyed your stay. The website listing does contain a few photos of the garden and wall in question in an effort to allow guests to make an informed decision on the property's suitability for them. Property Owner

  • "A very nice place to stay a few days."

Exceptionally clean and well equipped. The only negative would be that elderly folk would find the walk back up the hill from the beach very challenging. We had a great time though.

Thank you for your lovely feedback, we are very glad that you enjoyed your stay. As wonderful as Lyme is, we are built into the hills but it does keep you fit! Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely family break, the holiday home was very cosy and really clean."

The welcome pack was a lovely touch. It was perfect for our children who are 10 and 12. The location is very hilly, we didn't mind, but it is a steep walk to the beach and back again. Its about 25 min walk. Only comments it had a brand new bbq but no utensils for it, grass was a light high, which was hard for us to keep clean with our dog. And the single bed was very squeaky. The pull out bed was fine. Lovely bedding, pillows and lovely towels. Would love to come back.

We're pleased that you enjoyed your stay. Lyme is very hilly, and it does you keep you fit walking around it! Thanks for your comments about the BBQ and grass, we will look into this. We hope that you will stay again soon. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

  • "Coneybeare Cottage is located in a large new build housing estate but is in a good position for visiting the local area."

We had a problem with the TV which rather spoilt our evenings. We were unable to tune in to watch live TV programmes apart from through bbc iplayer. ITVX refused to work altogether. The house sharing the parking spaces are currently unoccupied but I think parking 2 cars per property will prove to be problematic. Having said that, we had a lovely weekend enjoying the sunshine. The garden was secure for our dog to enjoy.
