• "This is a well appointed property with careful attention to detail."

  There is a lot in the kitchen but no empty cupboard for guest food and limited counter top for guest use too. The property is close to town a short walk of 15-20 mins but it is a step climb uphill. It could be helpful to future guests if this was listed in the property description. We had to stand on the bed to open and close the blind. Having made those observations it is a beautiful property with an helpful considerate owner.

  Thanks for the feedback Nichola. I have ordered longer pull chains for the blinds. I can’t do anything about the hill to the seafront though, Lyme is hilly in every direction. A regular bus service travels from the beach, up the hill with a bus stop almost opposite seaward which is great. ( local bus timetables are always available in the flat ) We do leave one cupboard empty for guests to put food etc usually. The kitchen worktop, it’s how the kitchen came I’m afraid. • "Fantastic accommodation fitted out to a very high specification within easy walking distance to Lyme."

  The host is really helpful and responds quickly (for instance, asked for slightly earlier check in which was facilitated with ease). There is a bus route close by which was handy and also dog friendly if you want to ditch the car for your stay. I would definitely recommend this wonderful property, a great find!

• "Seaward is an absolutely superb holiday apartment."

  Spotlessly clean, beautiful furnishings and absolutely everything you would need is provided. Comfy beds, smart tv, lovely bathrooms and some really nice touches. Owners left us a welcome pack of wine, tea, milk & biscuits which was so nice. We brought our small dog and there were dog bowls, treats and towels to dry her off after walking. Nice clear directions for accessing the property, and lots of information in the property about how everything works and the local area. Just can’t say enough good things about this place, a real find, we will be back.

• "We were two weeks in December at Seaward and had a thoroughly splendid stay in a property that has been carefully furnished to such a high standard for guests to enjoy."

  Excellent beds and bedding, fully kitted kitchen, with wifi, workspace, and plenty of thoughtful touches to give you everything you need in a stay. We are regular travellers having stayed in so many places in different countries, and Seaward stands out as a top-notch stay that we would highly recommend. • "Lovely clean and welcoming apartment."

  The owners had kindly left milk,tea,biscuits and a bottle of wine for us.We were even able to sit in the garden one afternoon,which was a bonus in October.Thoroughly recommend the property and Lyme Regis.

• "Seaward is a beautifully furnished/ decorated holiday home."

  We loved our stay and felt very well looked after. There’s a charming walk into town/ the sea via the Roman Road and along the river. We hired a beach hut (which was very cheap), visited dinosaurland fossil museum (private collection), what many walks along the beach with our springer, saw fossil imprints in rocks and loved the food at Town Mill Bakery. Could easily have stayed a month - fully recommend this apartment and Lyme Regis for a relaxing holiday.

• "The property was very clean on arrival."

• "Seaward is a stylish and comfortable holiday home."

  We throughly enjoyed our stay and appreciated how well thought out the flat was, everything you could need and want was there. Really clean, the photos of the size of hall way and kitchen especially, don’t do it justice. Comfy beds, great bathrooms. Having stayed in lots of seaside places and battled with car parking down narrow streets, having a car parking space is a massive bonus and takes all that stress away. It means being a little bit further from the beach, which is a shame but the hill got easier over the week! The road outside is quite noisy but these are tiny niggles and we would highly recommend staying here and would certainly do so again.

• "Beautifully furnished flat, but unfortunately on a very busy road/roundabout which meant you couldn’t have the windows open (luckily there were fans to use) and the noise caused disrupted sleep."

  Slight problem whilst we were there, but Andy dealt with this swiftly. For the courtyard (which is not private) you have to go out of the front of the property, down the steep drive and round the corner. One of the main reasons for booking this flat was that it was inferred there was ease of access to a private courtyard which we wanted for our dog. Nice touches within the flat were the tea, biscuits and milk for our arrival. The tote bag was also very useful. Very much appreciated. Monty (our dog) loved the ‘dog stuff’ basket and treats. Andy’s recommendation to walk along the river is a must and there is a fabulous restaurant ‘Millside’ in the mill courtyard which I would highly recommend.

Our aim is to make our guests stay at Seaward a positive and pleasant experience. The small garden which we have tried to make as private as possible with planting and screens has always been described carefully by Sykes. • "It is a beautiful flat with everything you need for a holiday stay."

  It is situated at a steep hill but has a local bus stop opposite so we used that a great deal . It would be worth telling guests which buses are used. The only thing that would have been useful would be an idiots guide for the oven but it didn’t detract from our stay . The welcome biscuits, tea and milk were a lovely touch .

• "Fab property which had everything we needed."

  All very clean and comfortable. Lovely towels, comfy beds and lots of storage space (except in the kitchen). The only downside was the noise from the main road which is a shame. The property is up a hill which might be a problem for people with mobility issues.

• "Lovely apartment which is furnished to a high standard."

  The actual apartment is better than the photos. Unfortunately the road noise in the lounge is quite noticeable. Lovely views all over the local area and Lyme Regis is very charming. The hosts had left lots of info on places to eat and sites to see. Enjoyed our stay

• "The apartment was everything and more than I expected, the attention to detail was second to none."

  The fact that they allowed dogs (and even provided all you could want for their stay - even treats), was amazing in such a prestigious holiday let. • "Great apartment, loved the deco and such a good selection of glasses, mugs etc was quite a surprise compared to other holiday homes , lovely and warm did actually lower the heating as our 2nd day was gorgeous and sunny!"

• "Absolutely loved our week at Seaward."

  Beautiful bright flat with everything you need, including parking. The TV, DAB radio, Wifi, books to read about the area and fossil hunting etc gave us lots to do on the rainy parts of the February days. Only a 15 minute walk down hill to the beach front, with lots of lovely little shops along the old high street. We enjoyed a couple of afternoons fossil hunting on the beach, by the sea wall one day and by Black Venn another day. Its super dog friendly in Lyme Regis, you can take your dog into almost any shop and cafe/restaurant. We enjoyed The Royal Lion for lunch a couple of afternoons, which is just on the high street, and The Cobb pub, by the cobb too. Lots of lovely tourist shops with gem stones and fossils, even a Tesco Express and Co-op, which to be honest was all we needed to get by with everyday items like milk, bread and snacky food etc. I would say however, that if you're planning on walking down the hill to the shops, take a slow walk back, as the walk back up can be difficult if you're not as fit as you think you are, which we soon found out! The views from up hill of Lyme Regis are lovely too, especially at night. We would definitely recommend Seaward as a place to stay. Andy, the owner, was extremely responsive with any correspondence, which was much appreciated.

• "Lovely clean and extremely well equipped apartment."

  First rate fixtures and fittings. The only criticism involves dog owners who should be made aware that the enclosed garden courtyard is not attached to the property but is down in the car parking area which meant putting our dog on a lead and walking down in pyjamas for his morning ablutions !! We would highly recommend a holiday based in this property.

• "A beautiful apartment, clearly furnished with love and care."

  Everything is brand new, but in an old building with touches of character. We were a party of 3 ladies and we loved coming back to our little place and cracking open a glass of fizz. It’s dog friendly, so my little dog came too on our holiday by the sea. An extra bathroom and parking space were also very handy. We met the lovely owner as we were leaving, and discovered we were the first people to stay here. We can recommend!
