  • "We loved our stay in Church Lane, Lymington."

The cottage is in a lovely location for the town and is very comfortable and well appointed. It would have been helpful to have had some additional information about rubbish disposal, i.e., what day of the week and where to leave domestic waste, and also some information regarding whether to strip beds before leaving and where to leave dirty linen. Having said that, the cottage is charming, and we'd come back again, with pleasure. A lovely place to stay.

Very enjoyable stay, good central location, easy walk to shops, pubs and restaurants, clean and comfortable cottage , use of a printer was handy for us

  • "As per previous feedback the garden would be a lovely place to enjoy the afternoon sun if it wasn't so overgrown and the garden furniture was cleaned - they need a pressure wash."

The owners notes say the appliances are straightforward and there are manuals to refer to but I am very technical but found the microwave quite a challenge - a simple 2 or 3 line note inside the cupboard door is needed. A small chest of drawers in the main bedroom would be useful (and, yes, there is room). A couple of minor issues - the shower head keeps sliding down while having a shower and the toilet roll holder is loose and the toilet roll kept falling off. The parking permit is a bonus and should be listed in the property details. Overall a lovely cottage in an ideal location and we would definitely use again if we were staying in Lymington.

Many thanks for the feedback - much appreciated! We have made sure the garden has been cut back. Other points also noted. I’m really pleased you enjoyed the stay! Property Owner

  • "Ideally situated v close to the High Street and a great base for the New Forest and the Coast."

Cosy cottage which is great for a couple with perhaps small children if they can cope with steep stairs. Digital lock and parking permit a bonus.

  • "Lovely cottage , clean and inviting."

There was just two of us staying so the size of the cottage was perfect. It was nice just going out the front door and walking up to the Hugh Street.Good WiFi .The parking permit was very useful and the welcome goodies very appreciated, thank you .Its been nice exploring the surrounding towns and countryside.

  • "The property was excellent - very rarely had such comfortable beds!"

And the parking permit and parking arrangements were really helpful. We would have appreciated more simple instructions about the property, e.g. how to manage the heating, instructions for oven and hob, details of bin collection and recycling. Also we would have appreciated better lighting in living room and dining room for reading and working. But a great property in a superb location!

  • "Such a pity the garden hadn’t been tidied."

It would have been good to be able to sit on some decent garden furniture.

I’m sorry that you were disappointed with the garden - it has been addressed. However, I am surprised at the overall level of the review and I would welcome the chance to understand how else the property did not live up to expectations so it can be improved in future. Property Owner

  • "A quaint and charming cottage in the centre of Lymington, close to the High Street and the Quay."

It was an excellent base for exploring the local sights and surrounding areas, made easier by having a car park just over the road and provision of a free parking permit. Highly recommended.

  • "We had a lovely 2 night stay in this property to attend an event at Beaulieu."

We found the accommodation very convenient for Lymington High Street shops and restaurants and was a very comfortable stay for our family. Just a couple of small points for the owner, as there is no dishwasher a drying rack is needed to put dishes on after washing up and the garden could do with a sweep and tidy to make it more useable and comfortable.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re pleased you had a very comfortable stay and we will get the gardener round more often! Property Owner

  • "A few additional basic kitchen items would have earned top marks."

Cottage in excellent condition in convenient location round corner from main shopping area but not noisy. Lovely enclosed garden (safe for dog) with seating areas. Comfy bed. Attic room with little bay window looking over back garden, with a desk and chair, proved to be the perfect writing space. Parking permit provided for car park across the road was much appreciated as were bread, milk, butter and little pots of jam found in the cottage on our arrival. Another much appreciated touch. We definitely want to go back.

Thank you so much for the kind feedback - we’re looking forward to seeing you again! Property Owner

  • "The cottage was delightful."

Conveniently located with easy access to the High Street shopping and parking. The garden was absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed relaxing there. We had an extra benefit of the provided Parking Permit. The only downside is that there were no manuals for the kitchen appliances. Also, despite phoning the Maintenance Company a number of times during our 7 days stay, we had no response from them whatsoever. Even when there was an option of leaving them a message, we had no response to our query.

Thank you for your kind feedback. The management company is normally very responsive so I will raise it with them. The manuals should be in the dining area cupboard so I will follow up. I hope this didn’t detract from your stay and I’m glad you found the cottage delightful. We hope to see you again! Property Owner

  • "We were really delighted with the property and it surpassed all our expectations!"

We thought perhaps given that it is a period building that it might be a bit antiquated inside but it is beautifully maintained, much more spacious than I had thought and very clean and well kept with a gorgeous garden full of flowers! We were really cheered to find the complementary coffee capsules for the nespresso machine and the loaf of bread, butter and jam pots left too, particularly since we arrived late the night before. The car park set up worked really well and the proximity to M&S and the High Street, as well as having a door code for the front door - which meant we never had to worry about losing the house keys! Such a fabulous cottage in a convenient location. We have already decided that we would like to return to explore the area more as it is so beautiful!! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

  • "Very enjoyable stay with easy access to the town and the harbour."

Very clean and quality furnishings. Stairs a bit steep and not suitable for older people - I banged my head a couple of times on descent. Thankfully bathroom on same floor as main bedroom. Lots of hangers and suitable for a longer stay. A bit smaller than pictures suggested feeling cosy with two. Would have been a struggle with 4 adults.,
