"What can I say."
We have stayed here twice a year for the last 4 years, booked for 2025 and will be booking 2026. It’s ideally placed, and the view from what I call my reading room is to die for. Stephen as always attentive and available if you have any concerns at all. Cannot wait.

"Stephen gave us a lovely welcome."
The apartment was fabulous and of course the location top drawer.
-
"This was our 5th stay."
It’s a beautiful property, the views are outstanding, lovely walks either way along the coast. Stephen as ever, on hand and helpful. Going back in September and have booked twice for 2025.

"The apartment has a lovely peaceful vibe (and feels and is very looked after)."
Very comfortable beds. Awesome views. Kitchen fully equipped. Shower and bathroom are lovely. Lots of room, especially love the ‘sun room’ if you want to chill out. The little extras, are lovely for eg, smart tv, tv in all bedrooms, sound system in the sunroom, sunbed recliners. Friendly, helpful owner. A perfect place, in a perfect spot. No complaints at all.

"It is difficult to give a 'fair' review which reflects the strengths and weaknesses of Apartment A."
It undoubtedly has numerous 5 star features, which previous reviewers have highlighted. However, there are a number of aspects which many would find disappointing/unacceptable. The only bathroom is in need of significant investment. The separate shower cubicle is no more than a cupboard, without natural light, ventilation or heating. The only place to dry is to step outside into the front entrance lobby which is again without any heating. The heating throughout the apartment is timed to go off at 10.00am until 4.00pm. The temperature quickly drops, it is December, and we had to wear extra clothes, even our dressing gowns. As a result we decided to go home three days early and have cancelled our planned holiday in March - unfortunately we have presumably lost our paid deposit. Unlike many other venues there was no acknowledgement that it was Christmas time - just a card would have been appreciated. Annoyingly there are some essential items which again other venues supply - toilet rolls, washing up liquid, hand soaps etc. The oven baking trays really are dreadful and should not be used. The promotional pictures show luxurious looking towels but again these are not provided and the pictures should be updated. As it was Christmas week we did pay a premium but were very disappointed. Response from Dream Cottages. We are sorry that you did not enjoy your second stay at the property following the very nice feedback you gave in November 2023. The owner was unaware that you were cold and understood that you returned early due to a medical reason, but you are welcome to return at any time. The central heating system is fully controllable, and instructions on how to override the programmable hours are contained in the information booklet. Guests are able and welcome to put the heating on at any time of the day or night. If any guest is having difficulties adjusting the heating system, they are very welcome to call the owner at any time for immediate on-site assistance. One full toilet roll and other cleaning accessories are provided for guests on arrival, and post-Covid the owner is now providing towels in all apartments for the 2024 season. Kind regards Dream Cottages Team. Property Owner

"Location, location, location - spectacular."
Thoroughly enjoyable holiday despite the dreadfully wet weather. Look forward to returning at Christmas and March 2024. Highly recommended.

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Apartment A, a great base to explore Weymouth and Portland."
The ground floor accommodation is spacious, clean, well-equipped and comfortable. It was so lovely to hear the sound of the waves at night when we drifting off to sleep (an experience you don’t get very often). The owner Steve was very pleasant and helpful. We would highly recommend a stay in Weymouth Bay Apartment A and will definitely return in the future as we had such a delightful and enjoyable holiday. Debbie and Colin

"The apartment is warm, ideally situated and has plenty of space."
The sunny side of the apartment faces straight onto the beach across the coast path and can be accessed via the private enclosed garden (ideal for dog owners). The furnishings are of a good standard but some fixtures could do with modernising. E.g. The basin in the second bedroom has been sealed in quite roughly. Immediately outside the window in this room are a table and chairs where smokers tend to gather from the other apartments. Obscure glass in the window would help with privacy. The main drawback is the separate enclosed shower room which has no venting or standing area to dry off. This lack of venting means the plastic shower curtain stays damp and gives off a nasty musty smell like bad drains. To dry off you have to stand in the hallway as there aren't sufficient hooks to hang your clothes inside the shower behind the curtain. If you prefer a bath to a shower, the bathroom is fine. The loo brush is continually wobbly and needs to be replaced. Allowing for these niggles, the apartment remains good because of it's excellent frontline position.

"Another week of perfect weather for us, the 2nd this year."
You cannot question the outlook, it is breath taking, the appartment on whole is lovely. A couple of extras could make it perfect, a table with an umbrella would be good on the patio. The basic needs on arrival, non existent, milk, tea, coffee, toilet roll. Towels are in the description but not there, so be warned and take your own. Stephen as always, very accommodating. Have booked for 2 weeks next year.

"The apartment was brilliant' it is huge with large windows, high ceilings and generous room sizes meaning on the couple of dull rainy days we had it still felt bright and airy."
There is a beach right on the doorstep and the town center is about 15 min walk or a short bus ride from the apartment. The only downside was the very busy road where the parking was situated. We used the buses ( which are frequent ) rather than taking the car. We had a very good holiday there.
-
"Lovely ground floor apartment facing the sea with the garden path leading through the garden gate to the pebble beach and gorgeous views of Weymouth Bay."
-
"Just brilliant cannot wait to go back"
-
"Second stay at this wonderful appartment."
Steven as helpful as always. We were blessed with a week of sunshine, back in September, hopefully the same

-
"An excellent apartment, clean, spacious, the most wonderful position, with everything provided for a great week away."
Very secure front garden for the dog. Great for my elderly parents, park up in the space provided at the rear, walk, or wheelchair, along the prom each day. We will be booking for next year. Best place we have stayed in a long time. Tracey, Val, Barry and Poppy.

"We found the apartment to be above and beyond our expectations, very well appointed and comfortable."
We contacted Steven as instructed beforehand and Steven could not have been more helpful. We would definitely recommend this property and the owner, we look forward to returning. Deryk, Gloria and Hector.

"The apartment was comfy and very generous in size, wonderfully located for dog walking both into town, towards Lulworth Cove, and inland as well."
We noticed a few simple friendly touches missing, often provided at other holiday rentals, that would make guests feel more welcome: 1. Liquid soap for washing hands when guests first arrive. We always bring our own but it is nice to have some immediately available if you need the loo after a long journey before you’ve unpacked. 2. Spare liner bags for use in the kitchen waste bin. We emptied the bins and put the waste outside on landfill collection day, but there was no spare to replace the used one. Luckily, we were able to reuse the old liner. 3. A visitors’ book where guests can leave helpful comments and tips such as favourite eating places. 4. Information on local bus times. Also, we found the saucepans were quite rusty and the non-stick lining had mostly peeled off, making them unsafe for use. When told about this, the owner, Steve, was very quick to rectify this and provide better ones, but we felt this should probably have been spotted during inspection between lets. The shower was not inside the bathroom as we had assumed from the wording in the description, but adjacent to it with no room to step out to dry off or leave your clothes. This meant you had to use the hallway with no real privacy from others who may want to use the hallway to get somewhere. All in all we quite enjoyed our stay at this wonderful location, but the few drawbacks mentioned above stopped us giving the place a top five star recommendation.

"Immaculate apartment, very comfortable, excellent location."
Owner very ameniable. If i had to nit pick it would be maybe put a few extra utensils and cooking dishes in. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have already rebooked for 2023.

"This ground floor flat is lovely and bright, with very convenient parking even for a larger vehicle."
The terrace and garden leading to the promenade is lovely, and quite secure for a smaller dog - our Yorkshire Terrier couldn't get her head through the wrought iron gate, nor could she jump the wall. Two very large bedrooms, both with vanities/sinks, and a huge amount of storage - the only improvement would be larger beds (we prefer super-kings). Very well-appointed kitchen with everything we needed, and a clean modern bathroom, with a separate shower unit/room. We enjoyed the two sitting rooms, one with the TV, and the other with the patio doors to the terrace. We both 'worked from home', from the large dining room table, and the wi-fi was really very good for our needs, including video calls. The owners are lovely and friendly and very helpful, and keep the flat and gardens beautifully. We look forward to a return visit.

"Steve the owner went out of way to make us feel very welcome."
We stayed the hottest week of the he year, with the patio door open there was a lovely sea breeze to keep all the rooms fresh and airy., not to mention the amazing views! The apartment is beautiful with large rooms and high ceilings making it very cool inside. We have booked for next year ! Thanks again Steve for all your kindness with my 87year ok mum.

"Had a really great week in a fabulous apartment."
It looked really clean at first glance, but on closer inspection there were some areas that weren't great, in particular the bathroom and the fridge. It would have been helpful to have a hairdryer provided. We didn't realise that there was not one in the house and had to nip down to Argos to buy one that we didn't really need. It would have been helpful to have a range of brochures for places to visit and things to do whilst we were there, but not a biggie, overall we had a great week and would be happy to return.

"Lovely apartment in an ideal location."
Spotlessly clean and great facilities
-
"Lovely holiday rental - has everything you need."
Location difficult to beat! Thanks to Steve who owns the apartment - friendly and approachable.

"This was our first stay at Weymouth Bay apartment A, although we have been staying in Sutton Poyntz for over 30 years."
We was not disappointed, spacious, clean, well equipped and with the most wonderful views. The owner was more than helpful and a comprehensive folder of information was available. We have booked twice for 2023.
