  • "The flat is really nice with good decor and nice views over the hills."

The instructions were clear and accompanying information helpful. It is in a great location and easy to park and walk down to the beach or a bit further into Swanage town centre. It would be useful to have a few more mugs and glasses and a spatula/fish slice that can be used with the non-stick frying pan. Unfortunately the bathroom is pretty impractical with a shower over the bath but no bath plug and no tiles or shower curtain to allow for a stand up shower. Even having a sit down shower in the bath was difficult without water spraying everywhere so this needs some more creative thought to make it useable. The windows are old and both whistled and banged in the wind so could do with being updated. The dishwasher didn’t clean well and we needed to re wash everything by hand.

  • "We enjoyed our stay."

Great location for the north beach and nice and quiet. Lovely and clean on arrival and everything you need is there. Nice touch to have some coffee and sugar etc left. The bathroom could do with updating but the size of the room makes it tricky to improve the layout. An inexpensive improvement would be to replace the blinds. They are awkward to operate and the one in the double bedroom is too wide for the window and catches. They rattle if there is a breeze and the windows are open. Bigger kitchen bin would be good. Just trying to give constructive feedback. Had a great stay, thanks.

Just a little thing could have used a shower mat so we could have stood in bath for a shower, otherwise very nice would definitely stay again

About the location

SWANAGE

Wareham 9.7 miles; Poole 20 miles.

The small, family-friendly seaside resort of Swanage is situated at the eastern end of Dorset’s famous Jurassic Coast, on the celebrated Isle of Purbeck and is probably best known for its wonderful, gently shelving golden sands. The little town offers visitors plenty of shops, good pubs and restaurants, some of which specialise in locally caught seafood, and is also well known for its annual jazz festival, which takes place each July. The attractive, Victorian wooden pier offers a great place for a stroll or try fishing, and often used a departure point for divers, it’s a wonderful place to watch the world pass by. The historic Swanage Railway has its terminus in the town and regular nostalgic steam engine trips take tourists for a picturesque 6-mile journey, chugging through lovely countryside to stop just beyond the romantic ruin of Corfe Castle. Nearby Durlston Country Park offers a lovely day out with spectacular coastal walks, dolphin spotting and wildlife watching, together with comfortable viewing points and a well-stocked cafe for a treat after all the fresh air. Take the short drive to Studland, which has one of the finest beaches in the country, surrounded by heathland, together with the regular chain ferry, which crosses the mouth of Poole Harbour to Sandbanks. This truly is a delightful holiday destination at any time of the year.
