  • "Beautiful location and with an added bonus of a downstairs bedroom with en-suite."

Super. The only criticism was the dirty oven. Needed a deep clean. Really easy parking outside the accommodation's front door. Spaces allocated. Great stay.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review your stay in Lulstead. We are so pleased you enjoyed your time at Wey Meadow cottages. We are sorry you found the oven dirty, they are cleaned after each stay however they have all now had a deep clean. Many thanks for your feedback and we hope to see you again soon. Property Owner

  • "The property was brilliant, we loved it."

It was exactly as described perhaps even better. The directions were good and the facilities and equipment were first class. Highly recommended. Only one fault that we could find was that the bedside light on the left side of the downstairs bedroom didnt work. It wasn't a problem for us but the owner may want to know.

Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback. We are delighted you loved the cottage. We hope to see you again. Property Owner

  • "Amazing cottages, our whole family loved it."

The cottages themselves from the outside look small but as you walk in they are like a tardis. Very spacious, clean, great views and generally lovely. Having the views and stables in your back garden was a wonderful addition. Very quiet at night and only heard the horses when we fully opened the windows. Definitely highly recommend these cottages. Short drive from Weymouth beach and not far from all the sites. We all had such a lovely week away. We would definitely go back.

Many thanks for taking the time to review your stay at Wey Meadow Cottages. We are absolutely delighted you and your family enjoyed your time in Lulstead. We must admit the views are quite special. We hope to see you again in the near future. Property Owner

  • "The property was spacious, light and clean."

Actually looks nicer than the pictures suggest. Just a few nit picks: pillows were awful and no welcome pack of milk, butter, jam, tea, bread, which you normally get in a holiday cottage. The few bits which were left were what you would expect in a hotel bedroom. Finally worth installing some electric car charges, the local BP garage ones were inaccessible, despite a lot of effort on my part to set up an account.

  • "I’ve stayed here twice now, the first time the cottage was lovely and clean."

This time around not so much. The showers look really grubby, covered in limescale and water marks. Also found multiple dog hairs in the bed & had some strange stains. I would also like to note that in the bathroom and the kitchen almond hand soap had been provided, my partner has a severe tree nut allergy so we had to purchase our own. I do really like these cottages, I love the location so I’m hoping the cleanliness issue was just a one off and the cleaners missed some areas.

Dear Miss S V, Thank you for your detailed feedback on your stay. Whilst we strive to provide the best accommodation we can, if ever our properties are not in perfect condition, please do let us know as we are always be happy to rectify any problems during your stay. I've passed on the comments regarding the soap to our purchaser, had we known we would happily have provided an alternative for you. I hope that this didn't detract from your stay and that we have the opportunity to host you again in the future, All the best Helen and the team. Property Owner

  • "We loved our stay- it was perfect."

The key lock needs to be changed as it was very stiff.

I'm so pleased you enjoyed the stay, the key locker has been oiled thank you for letting us know, all the best Helen and the team. Property Owner

  • "Thank you. New clean cottages."

Excellent basic amenities. Dishwasher was a bit temperamental. Very helpful and pleasant hosts. Good focal point to explore the local sights. Visitors need to be aware that there are no walking paths directly from the property as it opens into narrow windy main road with no footpaths. Post code leads to a place about 200 yards from the cottages. Be prepared for horses neighing first thing in the morning, as the property is in the midst of stables. It was not a problem for us, though. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Dear Dr S B, Thank you very much for taking the time to provide feedback on your holiday, its helpful to know and we have serviced the dishwasher so it should be working well, much appreciated. I'm sorry you didnt realise during your stay that the cottage does open onto a few footpaths, there are 2 that run across our premises and another that is 50m along the road towards Buckland Ripers, with others in the village, there's an ordnance survey map in the hallway which should help find the route. We have staff on site each day who would be happy to point you in the right direction. Post codes cover a postal area that can be quite large in a rural location so unfortunately this may have led you to the centre of the postcode area rather than direct to our door. We do email out directions along with the key codes to every guest and Wey Meadow Cottages and Wey Meadow Stables are also both on google and apple maps which is a more accurate tool for finding the property. Its lovely to hear that you enjoyed the rural location and hope that you choose to return, we would be happy to help you explore the pretty Dorset countryside.
