• "A perfect property in an ideal location."

  It is light, smartly decorated, very comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. It was great just being able to walk down the drive and over the road to let our dog run run on the smart green area whilst we enjoyed the fabulous view of the sea across to Portland. Worth taking a pair of binoculars. There is a small Spar shop, fish and chips etc., gift shop, cafe and ice cream parlor 5 mins walk to the left, down on the little pebbly cove and Look Out cafe with inside and outside seating not much further to the right. Lots to do within a 10 mile radius too for all ages and abilities. Loved it.

  We have stayed here twice and would come back every year if we could but next year we can not get in as already fully booked for the time we need to stay because of work commitments. • "This was our second visit to Outlook Lodge and it was as good as the first visit."

  The lodge is wonderful, we could have stayed looking out on the lovely garden all day long. We saw an array of birds, a squirrel who visited often and a deer running past the fence. So so peaceful and relaxing which is what we want from a holiday, with the lodge well equipped and so comfortable. We did venture out though occasionally to visit Dorchester, Portland Bill and Lyme Regis. The local gardent centre was a find this time too, with very good coffee and cake. The view as you leave the lodge is spectacular! Breathtakingly beautiful blue blue sea.....and when you venture out of the driveway it is even more stunning, the most wonderful views of the cove and Weymouth beach. You need not go much further to see such a view. The lodge has got to be in the most beautiful location of any holiday property in Weymouth in my opinion. You will not be disappointed if you book Outlook Lodge and we will certainly be going back. Thank you to the owners for providing such high quality holiday accommodation.

• "What a lovely lodge, perfect for me and my puppy Bubba."

  It was spotless and so comfy and homely. Had a lovely week even though the weather wasn’t great. We had some lovely walks as well as chilling in the garden and indoors. Would highly recommend as the location is great with so much within walking distance or a quick hop in the car when the weather was bad. Absolutely loved my break and would definitely come back.

  We had everything there we needed. Maya our little dog loved your garden she was out there all of the time. It was like home from home, and Bowleaze Cove was very pretty even when we had that very sharp cold snap. My husband and I both celebrated our birthdays while we were there and it was perfect. • "First time staying, what a fantastic lodge that was spotlessly clean and well equipped."

  Perfect location and extremely quiet and secluded which we loved. Would definitely return (unfortunately not next year as the dates we wanted were already booked).We were lucky enough to be able to check in at 4pm aswell which was very much appreciated as 5pm was rather late.

• "This is our 5th visit to The Outlook."

  It’s just a home from home. We feel so comfortable and relaxed. The lodge is in an excellent position. Handy for the the cafe on the hill with stunning views. The garden is nice and secure for our small dogs. It’s lovely to see the foxes go by and the mischievous squirrels play. Lara and Dan are very friendly. They are there if you need them but otherwise leave you to enjoy your holiday. Already booked for next year. Fully recommend.

• "It was the fourth time in a row that we have been to the Outlook Lodge and it still one the best places for us to stay, perfect location for dogs (our 12 year old greyhound loves coming back!"

Everything you could want is on your doorstep and if you want to go for a walk then I would recommend going to Osmington Mills its a 2 mile walk over the hills and at the end there is a very nice pub called the Smugglers Inn with great food and beer (recommend the Tangle foot). The cottage is always clean and has great facilities, also we managed to see some deer and the foxes which made an appearance in the field next door! You have complete privacy and we know the owner's are just next door if we need anything. Also we got a text from Dan on the way down to say our cottage would be ready earlier than expected which was a nice touch. We will defiantly come back but as our greyhound is getting older we are not sure when it will it be, though we thought she would struggle this year but I think it gave her a new lease of life...we where the ones trying too keep up!!!

• "This was our second stay at Outlook Lodge and we still can't believe how wonderful the Lodge is."

  It is so clean and well decorated with a "seaside" theme throughout. We feel at home there straight away. Lara and Dan are excellent "hosts" who are at hand should you need them. Last year we had a heatwave during our stay but this year the weather was really mixed. On several days the sun shone in the afternoons and, as the garden is a real suntrap, we were able to relax and enjoy the sun when we returned to the Lodge. No matter what the weather the Lodge is pretty central for sightseeing and suits us fine. We are booked to return again next year and do it all again .

  The hosts are there if needed but otherwise respect your privacy. We would love to keep this perfect holiday lodge secret but sadly we have to share. The lodge is so quiet and yet so close to all amenities including public transport, we even saw a fawn and a vixen with her cubs in the field at the bottom of the fully enclosed garden. You can hear the sea from the bedroom. We can’t wait to return.

• "We knew were going to have a lovely holiday when we first set eyes on Outlook Lodge."

  The lodge itself is lovely and in an unbelievably superb location. Our main requirement for a good holiday is relaxation and Outlook Lodge made this very very easy to achieve. The Lodge is completely private and amazingly quiet. There are birds of all kinds (including a Woodpecker) coming into the garden. There are large tri-folding glass doors through which you can view a nice garden and the fields beyond. Open the doors and you feel as though you are sat outside but without an April breeze, and instead of garden chairs you are sitting on a comfy sofa! The lodge has everything you could ask for in a holiday home and is moments away from a vantage point where you can see the whole of Weymouth bay. We were blessed with good weather and the Weymouth coast line is absolutely stunning. We can see now why Outlook Lodge is so popular and so to ensure we are able to stay again next year, we booked online before out holiday was over, for 2024! Thank you to the property owners for making Outlook Lodge such a wonderful place to spend a holiday. We can't wait to return!

• "This was our 4th visit to The Outlook Lodge."

  We feel very comfortable in this property. It’s in a great quiet location but close to amenities. Beach just a short walk away with the Lookout restaurant on the doorstep plus fish and chips. Our dogs love the enclosed garden. Both Dan and Lara are great hosts. There if you need them but otherwise leave you to enjoy your holiday. The outlook is equipped with all that you need. We don’t normally return to holiday cottages but this one is an exception and we will be back.

  .. and more! The Lodge was spotlessly clean and had everything there to make it feel like home from home. We had looked at the photos of the property and garden several times online and couldn't believe that they were even better once we'd seen them "in the flesh"! We met Lara and Dan and they were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The Lodge is well situated to go to so many places. We love the seaside and Weymouth and Swanage are our favourites. The Swannery at Abbotsbury is worth a visit but make sure you are there at one of the mass feeding times of 12noon or 4pm. Quite something to see. We are already booked for next year - looking forward to it already!

• "This is the second time we have stayed at Outlook Lodge in 2 years I got to say we could not recommend it enough."

  The location is perfect as you can just cross street and you are at the beach and within about half an hours walk you can be in Weymouth. We have a greyhound and the amount of walks are amazing and most places welcome dogs into the their establishments. The owner's are very welcoming and on our visit this year we noticed the Wi-Fi was not working and we weren't to worried but decided to let them know a couple of days later and they sorted it out while we where out for the day, so when we got back we found we the internet plus they had left us a bottle of wine which I thought was a very nice touch. I would definitely recommend staying.....also we have booked for next year!!

  The lodge itself is perfect- it was clean, well-equipped and large enough for my family of 4, plus dog. The lodge felt completely private, despite the owners house being close by, and the garden was fully enclosed with great views across the fields. The lodge was located in a great position, it literally takes a couple of minutes from the lodge to the sand at bowleaze cove.

  We felt comfortable right from the start. Lovely place to stay with an enclosed garden for our Jack Russell to run around in. Nice and secluded but close to the beach. We had the hire of.a mobility scooter from a local company abc it fitted in the bin shed so that was good. Really enjoyed our week in the Outlook. The weather was kind to us. We didn’t see our hosts but knew they were there if we needed them. Sad to leave. We will be back.

• "The property was beautiful and exceptionally clean and beautiful views over the country side from the garden and lounge."

  Look out for the deer and foxes in the evening in the field. The beds were comfy and the whole lodge furnished lovley. The kitchen had every utensil needed to cook with, as due to covid we didnt eat out. Its ideally situated to the beach and a short but steep walk down to the sea, fantastic location accessible to weymouth and other surrounding areas. Plenty of supermarkets in the area to shop in. The owners of the property were lovely and didnt disturb our holiday but we knew if we needed anything there were there for assistance. Will deffinatly book again in the future.

• "The holiday was wonderful!"

  from organising to leaving, it was a very positive experience. Outlook Lodge was just off the road leading to the beach, that we took advantage of daily with both our son and dog. On arrival we met the very friendly and helpful owners who asked if we needed anything and then kindly left us to our own devices with the knowledge that they were available if needed. The lodge itself looked brand new and was exceptionally clean. Towels and bed linen were provided and ALL facilities were to a high standard and suitable for any family with a dog. The outside suited our curious Cocker spaniel as it was secure and well kept. The situation was ideal for visiting all the Dorset attractions and we chose to visit a couple of the popular ones like Durdle door and Cerne Abbas early evening to avoid the crowds as they are only a short half hour drive from the property. We were only a couple of miles from Weymouth supermarkets making it easy to do our holiday shop quickly at the start. Overall we had a tremendous time in Dorset and in particular at the Outlook lodge that is a very peaceful and private property to relax in.We would advise anybody to visit it!! And before you think it, we weren't paid to write this!! It actually was this good!!

• "We (2 adults + 1 dog) stayed here for 2 weeks in Sept/Oct 19."

  Very beautiful cottage: very clean, well equipped and tastefully decorated (pictures, furnitures, small details). Awesome bathroom and a nice little garden. Property lies a fee metres seperated from the road, so it is very quiet. Nevertheless everything you need is located within walking or short driving distance. Highly recommended!

• "My wife and I have stayed at Outlook Lodge for three years in succession now, always in May around our wedding anniversary, and for us the location is ideal for a relaxing and peaceful holiday."

  Being retired but still busy people all year round, the seclusion and just the right amount of privacy we have experienced at the Lodge makes for the perfect relaxing break. Each year the weather has been great allowing us to opt for spending the days in the garden sunbathing and the evenings strolling on the beach or countryside, or we can choose to visit any number of the many attractions in Weymouth or elsewhere in Dorset, Reading thro’ the visitors book, we note that many other folk are of the same opinion, and return each each year to this lovely place. The first year we stayed here the Lodge was virtually brand new and we loved it’s modern layout, facilities and homely ‘seaside’ decor which are a testament to Dan and Lara’s hard work and care they have put into making the Lodge a great holiday home from home. and that care is really appreciated. As a holiday home we can find little that could be improved or changed, however, Dan and Lara asked for our comments or observations and so with a view to being of help we would suggest the addition of eggcups for our boiled egg breakfast (yeah, I know it’s picky !) and also we noticed the patio windows were in need of cleaning inside, ( likely overlooked this time as never been noticed before). We have already booked for 2020 and look forward to seeing Dan and Lara again, God willing.

  We first stayed here in May of that year and immediately loved the place. The modern construction of the lodge itself made it easy to live in and everything was new and of a high standard. But for us, the best thing was the seclusion and its location. Although it is set within the grounds of the owners house, we were impressed by the privacy and yet the outlook over rolling fields and countryside, yet only 100m from the sea. We love it so much we have booked for same the week 2019..... Oh, by the way, we have had fantastic weather each time we have stayed ....? Stay (most recently) May 2018

  The lodge is stunning a real 'wow' factor in a beautiful location. We have been out and about by car, on foot, found many dog friendly pubs where you can have a lovely meal. We would recommend 'The Springhead' about two miles from here. The garden is safe and secure for our dog willow. Garden furniture was perfect when weather was permitting, but even the weather has not dampened our spirits. We are sad it has come to an end, the week has flown by and we will be back – stayed July 2017

• "Lovely week pottering around Weymouth, the lodge is beautiful and equipped with everything you need."

  The garden is a sun trap and so safe for our little dog Evie. So nice to relax somewhere so peaceful yet so close to shops, restaurants and beautiful walks. The Lookout café dopes amazing breakfasts, the fish and chips at Bennetts on the Old Harbour are superb, the Tea Room also worth a visit. Loved walking around the Nothe Gardens and Portland is spectacular. Will definitely be back. Stayed July 2017

  We have felt so at home in this beautifully decorated and looked after place. Everything is lovely and clean and comfortable – thank you. We enjoyed eating out in the garden with the countryside views. We have enjoyed walking the dog on the cliff top opposite the lodge and down on the beach below stopping for yummy food and drinks at The Oasis Café. Gorgeous sandy beach in Weymouth and fun rock pools at Newtons Cove. We also visited Lulworth Cove and Charmouth to do fossil hunting with our dog. We also had a lovely time visiting the lighthouse at Portland Bill, thanks for the recommendation, we would love to return one day. Stayed July 2017

  The Lodge is exceptionally clean; close to everything you need, walking distance to Weymouth with Bowleaze Cove on the doorstep. I loved being able to see the sea from the bedroom window. Located in a lovely quiet area. Lovely extra touches like chocolates and toiletries. A really comfy bed, thank you very much, we will be back!! Stayed February 2017
