"Picture does not do the barn justice."
Amazing setting, plenty of space, great views, good local pub and well located for Chesil beach and coastal towns.

"This is a beautiful location."
A well maintained property. Very minor issues with the upstairs shower. Low water pressure. And not having a full range of tv channels. We didn't go on holiday to watch tv so wasn't a issue for us. Good tip about using a Wildlife camera. We got photos of various animals including free ,foxes and a badger. The views from the barn are spectacular. I would love a return visit. The local pub was closed the week we were on holiday. Plenty of other places near by. Plan what you want to do and work your meals times around what you want to do. Bridgeport isn't too far away. Definitely recommend to any one wanting to get away. Great place for a relaxing break.

"The Barn is just lovely!"
We found it easily and loved that it was in such a rural spot and yet so close to the village and everything we wanted in the surrounding area. It is well equipped - we especially liked the comfy sofas! Thoughtfully furnished and decorated - we loved the seating area on the balcony overlooking the beautiful countryside. The Barn is within very easy reach of all the Jurassic coastline has to offer and we enjoyed visits to West beach, Eype, Bridport, the Isle of Portland and ventured a bit further out to the Purbeck area to visit Corfe Castle and Lulworth Cove. A couple of suggestions which the owners may like to consider: some comfortable outdoor chairs would be a real bonus; if there is a way to boost the water pressure upstairs it would be helpful as the shower has very little power (there were only two of us so we just used the downstairs one which was fine); over time your stock of teaspoons has been depleted (leaving only three!); perhaps a suggestions book so that visitors can leave tips for future guests. All in all we had a wonderful stay and will definitely consider returning to sample more of what Dorset has to offer.

"Wonderful Cottage The cottage is very quiet and private with the nearest building being about a mile away."
The cottage had a large open plan kitchen/living/dining room, but very homely with the furniture, pictures, vases of flowers, etc. Upstairs there is a landing/mezzanine area with seating over looking the garden/fields, which was great to sit and have a coffee. There is a family bathroom and two large bedrooms. Personally, we did not find the double bed comfortable and could feel the springs in the mattress when lying on the bed. The cottage had pretty much everything you would need. There was no dishwasher, but that was not an issue, there was clean bedding, lots of towels, an iron, an ironing board, a hoover, etc! If I were to moan about anything then it would be attention to detail on the cleaning, given the cost I would of expected it to be spotless, however, there were LOTS of cobwebs and spiders suggesting it had been shut up for a while or not cleaned thoroughly, the cottage it in the middle of farm fields so you expect things like spiders, but would not of expected so many on arrival to greet us! The floor downstairs is in desperate need of a good mop, I cleaned up some water I spilt and the cloth was black! Would be good if there had been to trivets to put hot pans, we managed as you do, but worried if someone put a hot pan on the worktop it would damage it. All in all a lovely stay and would stay again and recommend to others. Thank you!

"Great location for a relaxing holiday."
We enjoyed the countryside and views across the fields. Very close to Chesil Beach, Abbotsbury and West Bexington but far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet.

"The barn is in a wonderful setting with beautiful views across the Dorset countryside."
Secluded enough to enjoy the peace and quiet of getting away from it all but close to local amenities and Chesil beach makes this such a perfect retreat. With plenty to wildlife to spot and numerous footpaths and walks in the area to explore. The barn is beautiful and you couldn’t ask for more from a property. The estate workers approachable and friendly will stop and gave a chat and always helpful. We would definitely recommend and return to Warehams.

"Missed a dishwasher and the upper bathroom shower lacked power, otherwise it was a very convenient location, the owners were very quick to respond when I had problems with the wifi, not overly fast but the 4G reception was good."
Overall we had a nice time here.

"Great barn and well equipped throughout Quality furnishings and kitchen equipment."
Nice and quiet with solitude. a good size garden. double bed comfortable single beds very noisy creaking on any movement. The only problems we had was the hot water. nothing from the upstairs bathroom sink. and a long wait for the kitchen sink. Hopefully helpful notes are. The signage for Warehams is too far back in the lane and therefore was missed by both parties. the dip at the start of this lane caused our cars to bottom out and wheel spin. Clean behind the leather suite we found a book and lots of dirt/webs. Basically this was a great holiday retreat with a few hiccups

"Cottage is in a lovely spot, nice and quiet with very little light pollution at night , very well equipped kitchen ,comfortable bed, all nice and clean too, plenty of wildlife about including fox, deer, rabbits and hares, buzzards and theres evidence of a barn owl in the wall at the end if the cottage , didnt see it, though there are pellets underneath the hole, all in all a lovely week ."

"If you are looking for a peaceful holiday, but some where that isn’t too far from a nearby town, then warehams barn is the perfect place to stay."
We had a wonderful stay, everything was very clean, comfy beds and a good selection of cooking utensils. We got to see deer and rabbits and stargazing on a clear night was a real treat. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back in the future

"A beautiful place to stay: warm, comfortable, spacious and a lovely location."
The Barn is in a part of Dorset we like to visit, and was an excellent base for the many walks we like to do. We’ll stay here again when possible.

"Really lovely property giving a wonderful feeling of isolation without actually being isolated."
Views stupendous. Very comfortable sitting area, kitchen extremely well equipped, nice bedrooms with comfortable beds.

"What a beautiful place to stay!"
And lovely views in the morning! So much land to look out on!! One of the best places we have stayed so far! Quite, warm and lots of space all you need in November! Very clean and has literally everything even, accommodated for our busy 1.5 year old! Thank you so much for a lovely stay and we will defiantly be back in the summer!

"What a lovely place to stay."
Amazing views and very well appointed barn. When we had a slight issue with something it was dealt with very quickly. Great service. Will definitely be back! Thank you.

"A really lovely property."
Really out in the countryside and away from things. Well equipped with most things you need. Left us milk and juice in fridge and some lovely local biscuits and some lovely flowers in a vase. Really appreciated that. Beds really comfortable . Only negative was we really would have liked table mats to put on tables as worried about damaging surface and we had to clean shower head as only coming out as a trickle and not a spray. Shower tap and kitchen tap temperamental but all minor points with the overall lovely property. Would highly recommend.

"Lovely cottage away from it all."
Very comfortable, had pretty much everything we needed, lots of room. So very quiet and the lack of light pollution made night time stargazing a pleasure. Local pub within walking distance (you'll need to take a torch and brace yourself for the uphill climb on the way back) but the cottage has everything you need in the kitchen (nearly - couldn't find a corkscrew but luckily we came prepared!) to cater for yourselves. It was a perfect base for going out to other places in the car - Weymouth, Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Bridport amongst others without getting caught up in single track roads with oncoming tractors. The coast was within walking distance if you're an energetic sort with plenty of stamina. Lovely views as you come out of the top of the road from the cottage. We would recommend visiting Nothe Fort and the WW2 Museum in Weymouth, Bridport was nice little town for wandering around. Lyme Regis was very lovely, if you want to look for fossils, do check the tide times before you go to avoid disappointment (this also goes for Charmouth) lots of interesting shops in Lyme Regis, fossils obviously but tasty bakeries and specialist deli/drink shops, arts and crafts type shops. Depending on where you park, it is all uphill but stopping off at all the interesting shops takes the strain out of it. Back to the cottage.... getting back after a long day out was like going home. The security light comes on as you park up to welcome you home, the cottage is warm and cosy (and yet there is no heating on - may be an issue in the height of summer unless there are fans brought in at that time?), the settee is like a nice warm hug - all good quality and comfortable furniture throughout. There are two showers/toilets. The upstairs one doesn't have enough oomph for a quick in and out shower but the downstairs one is very powerful. Oddly, neither room has a lock on the door. Fine if you're just a couple or there with your children but unnerving if you're a group friends. I don't normally take a hairdryer with me but just happened to on this occasion. Glad I did as I didn't come across one in the week we were there. Also, the notes we were sent after booking said that we would need to supply our own tea towels and oven gloves, this we did but needn't have bothered as everything was there already. Washing up liquid, laundry detergent, cleaning cloths were all there, you only need to bring your own if you need to know exactly what brand/ingredients are involved. More generous than most with the toilet paper too - a new one on the holder and another in the cupboard in both bathrooms. I note on an earlier review that they had difficulty accessing the key in the security box. We had the same issue but you just need a key or a coin to push the black catch down, it's too fiddly for fingers. All in all, it was a lovely stay and we would use it again if visiting the area.

"We had some difficulty entering the property."
It was only at the 6th attempt that the key box opened. We are familiar with this type of key box. We have one at home so we know how to use them. We had a very good holiday. It was beautiful but also very peaceful. The views from the property were magnificent. We would have liked some more garden furniture. The bbq bottom burnt out on first use. Would we rent this property again. Oooh yes, despite the problems.

"The location of this property was fantastic, there are no other properties ..."
The location of this property was fantastic, there are no other properties within one mile totally isolated which was exactly what we expected and wanted, the wildlife was all around, many deer, rabbits, pheasants and many more country walks to die for a great relaxing week in a lovely holiday cottage would definitely come back

We have had the most wonderful holiday: we couldn’t have had a better place to stay, the setting was perfect, the owner was charming and the farm workers were very helpful and friendly, the interior of the Barn was first class and very comfortable, We have forward the details of the Barn on to our family and friends,

"Thank you we had a wonderful few days in a perfect setting, however the downstairs toilet did not work and a tampon wrapper was found behind the bin in the upstairs bathroom also part of a blue latex glove was found in the bedding!"
These are all small issues and would not stop us from revisiting or recommending it for a short stay.
