  • "Had a nice stay at Day Cottage."

It is cosy and well presented, comfortable and has clearly been recently refurbished. It was spotlessly clean.Kitchen is fairly well equipped. We managed to find on-street parking about 10 minutes walk away but found it helpful that you could park for an hour outside for loading/unloading. Problems with shower/bath were very quickly sorted when reported. The area is a bit mixed but ok and it’s a short walk to the beach, which was great for our dog to run and play on! Only little bit of feedback to the owners is that leaving one small loo roll in the property for four people staying for a week is a bit stingy! Don’t expect loads but a spare would be nice!!

  • "We stayed at Day Cottage for a girls weekend away."

We drove there and parked on a residential street, about 7 mins walk away - for free. Then for the rest of the weekend we walked everywhere. The beach is a few minutes walk away and the town centre about 10-15 minutes. We felt very cosy in the house, and had all we needed. We had 4 adults and found the beds comfortable and cosy. The lounge is really nice to sit in and have after dinner drinks. And the courtyard is a perfect place to sit on an evening - weather permitting. Weymouth itself is a classic and charming British seaside town, the beach is great and would be great with kids(will be returning with them). Would recommend day cottage and Weymouth and hope to return.

  • "The location of the house is great."

Near to town and in easy walking distance. Nice touches regarding games etc.The TV had numerous channels. This was great on a rainy day. However, may be greater attention is needed to completing tasks in the house. The freezer was over frozen. The pipes were very poorly painted by the fridge. The floors were just about clean. The shower had grim about the edges. The back yard had dead and new weeds. In essence greater attention to detail will elevate the property. We would not recommend the property because we did not think the property commanded the price for what was actually delivered.

  • "The sofas are extremely uncomfortable and one is broken."

General cleaning was ok but I had to clean the bannisters as they very sticky and the top one was black with dirt. Shower is need of a deep clean. I vacuumed sofas on arrival and departure. The whole house is lovely clean painted walls Back courtyard area is lovely and nice to relax with a coffee. The street the house is in was very dirty and not welcoming at all. A parking permit would be a nice addition

Thank you for your valuable feedback, we are glad you enjoyed relaxing in the courtyard. It is a shame you did not contact Dream Cottages during your stay regarding the sofa and cleanliness issues you found on arrival as they would have attended and resolved these swiftly. They have since fixed the sofa and arranged a deep clean. Unfortunately the council do not provide parking permits for holiday lets in the area where the property is but it is only a short walk to the Swannery car park. We hope to welcome you back to Weymouth in the future Property Owner

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Day Cottage."

The location is perfect, very close to the beach but in a quiet mostly residential street where the locals are very friendly. The posh coffee machine was greatly appreciated! The cottage was very clean and the fixtures and fittings are to a high standard, it had everything you could possibly need. Only small gripe is that the rugs in the hallway and Living Room are badly stained and need cleaning or replacing. A Visitor's Book on the table in the alcove would be a nice addition as you can leave useful details for other guests such as restaurant recommendations etc. Otherwise please don't hesitate in booking this lovely cottage.

Thank you so much for the review, we will take your feedback on board. We are looking into the issues with the rugs, something to be conscious of and keep an eye out for in the future. Kath Property Owner

  • "We had a wonderful stay at Day Cottage."

It was clean, comfortable, modern, well equipped and ideally located. If there were to be a bonus you could add, it would be a parking permit. We found the walk to our car each day a little frustrating. Overall, a lovely place!

Thank you so much for your feedback Pauline, that really is appreciated and we are glad you enjoyed your stay. Thanks Kath Property Owner

  • "This was a great property with everything as it said on description."

Double bedroom could do with either a chair or another chest of draws as felt a bit sparse. More possibly storage in the bathroom would be useful maybe a cabinet on the wall. A coffee machine is quite common in self catering places and would be a nice addition. Overall though an excellent property, good location and we would recommend this property to others.

Thank you so much for your feedback. This is our first year letting Day Cottage out, so we appreciate great feedback on how we can make improvements. We really do want our guests to have the most amazing experience. We will most certainly look into your recommendations. • "The cottage was comfortable, well equipped and clean."

Enjoyed our stay very much. Only down side was the neighbour shouting at her kids most mornings, the one behind. Also there was no hair dryer, first time we have stayed in a property and there is no hair dryer.

Hi Trudy Thank you so much for your feedback, we are so glad you enjoyed your stay in our lovely cottage. You were our very first guests, so we are happy to have received this. We have taken your feedback on board regarding the hairdryer and have now ordered one to be placed into the cottage, we will also update the inventory on the advertisement, to show this is now available. We can only apologise on behalf of our neighbour at the back, we will be sure to monitor this moving forward, thank you for letting us know! We hope you will stay at Day Cottage again in the future. Thanks again Kath Property Owner
