  • "This was our second year at Yonder View as we booked the same week in September in 2023."

We liked Lyme Regis so much last year that we decided to come back and we chose Yonder View again rather than taking a chance on somewhere different. Yonder View is absolutely fine for a short stay but I foolishly omitted to bring some games with me. The weather this year was poor, unlike last year which was superb, and we had to spend time in the house when it rained. Rain tends to spoil things and traps people indoors. I regretted not bringing Scrabble, chess, draughts and a pack of cards. All there is in Yonder View is jigsaw puzzles and dominoes ! These were of no interest to us and perhaps Nigel and Karen might consider buying some of these pastimes. Otherwise, we enjoyed our week.

  • "We had a wonderful stay at Yonder View."

The cottage was spacious and provided all we needed. The addition of a dishwasher and perhaps an air fryer would make it perfect. We found the recycling bins a bit confusing as their colours had faded and Dorset's re-cycling is more inclusive than Hampshire's. Maybe a numbering system would make it easier to ensure the accuracy of the recycling. We coudn't locate a blue plastic bag for the used laundry so stripped the beds and folded the used items at the foot of each bed. We met the owner who had provided a lovely welcome pack as well as a gorgeous fresh flower posey to make us feel at home. We hope that we will be lucky enough to make a return visit to Yonder View and have no hesitation in recommending this delightful cottage to other holiday makers. We have lots of fond memories!

Out of town and in a very quiet spot. Very clean, well equipped and spacious, this holiday home has everything you would need, home from home!!

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at Yonder View and it was very nice to meet the owner while we were there."

The bungalow is well equipped and nice and clean. We found the wifi very intermittent - the signal wouldn't allow two of us using laptops at the same time! We thought that the conservatory would benefit from some blinds - to reduce the heat and to ensure it is usable on bright sunny days. This would also help to reduce the heat and the light in the main bedroom. Overall, a very positive experience. We hope to return next year.

  • "We loved staying at Yonder View."

The property was very comfortable, had everything we needed & was spotlessly clean. The location was great for the Town & for access to many lovely surrounding walks. The owners were lovely & we met Nigel on arrival. It was very reassuring to know they lived nearby & if there were any problems we could contact them. Their kindness made our holiday special.

  • "A straightforward, easy to stay in property which worked well for us - we had no problems or issues."

Set in a quiet close with no through traffic. A fairly easy, pleasant walk into town (one steep little road, then along the interesting river path). Plenty of other walking routes too. A great base for exploring Lyme Regis and the surrounding area. We'd go back to this property.

  • "A wonderful long weekend at Yonder View ideally situated to explore the Jurassic Coast."

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect home for the weekend. Spotlessly clean, well equipped and comfortable. The welcome pack and milk was a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend and hope to return. We rented a beach hut at Lyme Regis £7 day rate what a bargain! Enjoyed tram ride at Seaton and Durdle Door & Lulworth Cove

  • "The property was very clean and everything seemed new."

It contained all that was needed for our week's stay. The area was very quiet so sleep quality was good. The only thing I didn't like was having to vacate by ten o'clock. This is too early for people on holiday. Eleven o'clock would be much more reasonable.

We're pleased to hear that the property met your expectations. The owners maintain it to a high standard. We ask guests to check out by 10:00 a.m. as we need to allow time for our suppliers to prepare the property. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

  • "Well maintained and presented property - good quality furnishings."

Few comments, these are just our comments not intended as criticisms - the property is on a steep hill a good 20 minute walk into Lyme not a problem for us , but may be for some people Parking for 3 cars tight drive to side of property which took some skill ,! otherwise parking is on the curb. Ideally would benefit from a dishwasher it’s a luxury I know but would have been nice Outside light for the back garden as no lighting at night so dark when sitting outside Restaurants locally are great despite early July we still needed to book. Beautiful area and lovely property would probably return as great location Vicky

  • "We booked a 10 night stay at Yonder view in May as we are retired and can choose to holiday in the off peak season when places like Lyme Regis are not so busy."

Yonder View fitted the bill perfectly in its position above the main town and the facilities provided, everything was as described and matched previous reviews left by other guests who have stayed there. A nice welcome pack from the owners was waiting for us with some nice samples of Dorset produce when we arrived. The owners were very friendly on the occasions that we saw them.
