"Yet again a brilliant stay in Weymouth at Globe Cottage Only thing that was ..."
Yet again a brilliant stay in Weymouth at Globe Cottage Only thing that was uncomfortable was the heat in the top room but you have to put up with that after having day after day of sunshine☀️☀️

"Our 8th or 9th visit at this time of year."
Globe cottage is perfectly suited to our needs and the recent update to the front door and additional en-suite is a fantastic improvement. Even the pigeons seem to have reduced!

"We had a fantastic stay at Globe Cottage."
We found the property very spacious and it had everything we needed. The bathroom was fantastic and I know those of us who stayed in the room with the en suite said it was super handy to have. We had extremely warm weather so the room up the very top with 3 single beds was absolutely boiling even with the fan on that was provided. The location of the property is great, being only a few minutes walk from the beach, the harbour and the town. Despite the reviews saying that the property was in quite a noisy area, we didn’t feel this way. However we did stay for a Monday-Friday not in peak summertime so that could be why. Would definitely stay here again.

"We come here every year and it's always a great experience."

"Great location and close to the beach, shops and restaurants."
We went on a family holiday - 5 adults, 1 infant and 1 toddler. The 3rd floor is a loft conversion where the single beds are located. Unsuitable for a toddler to sleep there even with an adult, toilet is on the 2nd floor and the stairs are spiral and steep, extremely unsafe. It's also facing the pub across the road which can be loud. Shutting the windows isn't an option to keep the noise down as the room is extremely hot. Kitchen was very dirty. We had to re wash all utensils, glasses, plates etc. The mattresses on the double beds are very uncomfortable, you can feel every spring. Check in is 4pm and check out is 10am, this is more than enough time to clean the place and empty the rubbish. 2 full bin bags were left in the garden from the previous people
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback after your stay. Taking your comments one by one: - We have asked Dream Cottages to check with the housekeeping team regarding the bins and kitchen cleanliness as your experience is out of step with other feedback we have received, which is generally very positive. A note has been added to the property listing advising that the stairs to the second floor are steep (not the third floor as you have stated). Please note that we are required to carry out health and safety checks, including a regular fire safety check and we would not be able to let Globe Cottage if it was considered to be unsafe. As a reference for future guests we would advise that the second floor (triple bedroom) is perfectly suitable for the able bodied but not for people who struggle with stairs, or unsupervised toddlers. We have stayed at Globe Cottage many times with family and friends and our experience and general feedback from guests is that the beds are comfortable. However we appreciate that bed comfort s a very personal thing. You were lucky that during your stay the weather was fine, sunny and hot. Whilst the ground and first floors at Globe Cottage stay relatively cool the second (top) floor does tend to gather the heat during prolonged hot spells. We had provided a fan to counter this in advance of your stay. Unfortunately we cannot do much about the noise, as noted in a previous comment Globe Cottage is in close proximity to the lively town centre. As a further note to future guests please note that the bathroom is on the first floor Property Owner

"Great location minutes from beach, harbour and town."
Well equipped, spacious, well kept, and comfortable property.

"The house was lovely, everything that was needed was there."
I would suggest a full size ironing board rather than a table top one. The biggest downfall is not stating about the noise during the evening/early hours of the morning, there is a pub a working men's club and a club all within seconds of the house. On arriving the first night we had no sleep whatsoever due to the noise, shouting, screaming and loud music from the club/pub until 5am Sunday morning. However for the rest of our stay every night it was just the noise from the pub and working mens club. So after about 1ish it was quieter. Still this needs to be advised, as if I had known about this I would not booked this property. A good point though is that it is central to the harbour, beach and town centre.
Thank you for your feedback, we are glad that Globe Cottage provided everything that you needed. We are sorry that you experienced a disturbed night and in light of your comments we have added a note to the listing regarding the proximity of Globe Cottage to the town centre with nearby pubs, restaurants and a club. We would add, as a reference for future guests, that we have stayed in Globe Cottage ourselves many times and have always found that the close proximity to the lively town centre atmosphere to be a plus point. In our experience, closing the bedroom windows onto Mitchell Street has been effective, when there has been some external noise later at night. Property Owner

Great location just a bit noisy at night with there being a LGBT bar at the bottom of the street.
