  • "This was our second stay at this property and once again everything was great."

My only slight criticism is the main bed isn't very comfortable, it feels like the mattress slopes to one side. But in general this property has everything you need, it's very spacious and has two parking spaces. It's a short walk to the harbour, it's at the top of a hill so the walk back could be challenging.

the young lady at no 88 informed me that was there space and we had to vacate and only used that bay once the rest of the time it was left empty . but overall a very nice stay at gone fishing

  • "House is very spacious, clean and well equipped."

the good size back yard has high walls so is safe for children. About 10 minutes walk to the harbour, beach and lovely town. Parking space at the back is only suitable for a small car as the piece of wood on the side has a raised bolt ( which we found to our cost after gouging the car door!) Front parking is fine. The back bedroom double bed has wooden slats , there are broken and have been mended by putting a strut in the middle, meaning the mattress slopes to each side ( needs replacing as very uncomfortable) and the thermostatic valve doesnt work in that room. the timer on the boiler is very hit and miss so we had it either on or off. Couldnt use the pool table at all as the cue tips need attention and no chalk. wooden triangles are also too small for the balls. A shame as they advertise that as a big thing. Lots of little bits for children, such as smaller cutlery, a lovely idea. Plenty of places to visit and we ran out of days. Ashley Heath boot fair is HUGE. near to Wimbourne. All in all, a lovely house and we loved Weymouth

  • "A lovely property with plenty of room for the 8 of us as we have been here before."

Some of the settees and mattresses could do with an upgrade and we found that not all bedding as protecters on. The insides of the radiators need a desperate clean as this prevents them from working efficiently as there is no tumble dryer to dry clothes. Would stay again with easy access to the town and beach with plenty of places to eat to suit all pockets.

  • "We felt that the parking at the back was not adequately described, you could only park a small car in there."

The Wi-Fi was very poor , I know this maybe down to the area but the description of facilities says broadband. I think maybe the owners should get a booster. There was a smell and feel of of damp about the property. We still had a good time but feel these things needed mentioning.

Went for golf week with some friends and loved the cleanliness, convenience and comfort of the property. Would be wonderful for families and just a few minutes walk to the centre of Weymouth. Great base for any kind of holiday.

Except for the matrass in one bedroom. We complained and the problem was soon resolved. However, I feel that such a matrass should never have been put there in the first place. The house could have been cleaner.

  • "Great location and a lovely sized house, we would definitely come back and stay here!"

The house is spacious and kitchen is full equipped & the pool table is a great addition! The only small negative comments we can make was that the small wheelie bin was half full still on arrival, so with 7 of us staying in the property it didn’t take long for the bin to then become full and bags were having to be left on the floor beside it. We like to use our own bed linen so when stripping the beds we noticed a few pillows were stained with blood etc so therefore I suggest these are replaced.

It sounds like homeowner is more concerned about people using the internet for work. The smaller double bedroom, the bed is too low. There was black hairs on the floor of downstairs toilet, also the toilet brush was covered in shit and loo paper, disgusting!

Beautiful big bedrooms and very clean. Plenty of kitchen items of all kinds. My only suggestion would be for more wardrobes as it sleeps 8 and a smart television would be great but neither of these made a difference to us having wonderful holiday. Lovely weather was an added bonus.

A couple of people had commented on the tight parking at the rear of the property which was useful, our xc40 just about fitted anything bigger would not. Two of us needed to purchase softer pillows as the pillows are very hard. Minor stuff though, the house was spotless, kitchen well equipped, pool table great addition Located 5 min walk from Brewers Quay and 15 min walk to sandy beaches Would definitely return

Kitchen well equipped but be aware no basic food stuff at all ( no salt / pepper / oil for example) Lots of road noise in the front bedroom. Takes a long time to heat up. 2nd parking space is not really big enough to be called a parking space!

The downstairs toilet was excellent for my mum with restricted mobility. The living room and kitchen were of a size to easily accommodate 5 adults. Bedrooms and bathrooms were superb. The neighbourhood was nice and quiet, we slept with the bedroom windows open. We would certainly consider returning to this property and using Dream-Cottages again.

The rear parking space is slightly difficult to manoeuvre if the other spaces are taken. Internet a bit iffy at times. The only real concern is the damp musty smell from the conservatory, particularly after rain! We had a great family break & would definitely stay here again!

the rooms were a good size. The car parking at rear of the house is tight, we would suggest the over hanging tree is cut back, to avoid making contact with the car roof. Just a few minor comments re waste, the bin outside is a good size but with no green bin for bottles /cans etc, the bin was full by Thursday, I believe either a green bin should be supplied or a further bin.

About the location

BREWERS QUAY HARBOUR

Dorchester 8.7 miles; West Lulworth 15.8 miles

Brewers Quay is the old Victorian brewery situated at the heart of the harbour, in Weymouth, Dorset. Much of the grade II listed complex and surrounding brewery buildings date from the late 1800 early 1900’s and many have stones inlaid commemorating their construction year. This area is now a popular destination with many restaurants, café and bars, creating a vibrant culture, where you can relax with a drink and watch the world go by. Tucked away down the harbourside streets, you will find original Tudor harbour buildings, estimated to have been built in 1600 and well worth a visit, with a very interesting history to share. You will also find the Weymouth Museum, with some incredible exhibitions, and the harbour is also home to the lifting bridge, where you can watch the luxury yachts head out to sea, and then walk over the bridge to the town's winding streets of boutique shops and the seafront esplanade and beach. There is more to this seaside town than meets the eye; Brewers Quay is a much-loved holiday destination in Weymouth!
