Settee could do with update. I've needed the central heating in early summer autumn but yet to be able to make it work...

Thank you for your repeat bookings and we are pleased you have been happy at our cottage as indicated by the 100% score you have given. Regarding the parking permit, we would prefer to provide one, but the Council no longer issues permits for holiday lets. Regarding the settee, the full set of settee covers have recently been replaced (on 22 December 2023). We don't understand the reason for this comment. Regarding the central heating system, there have been no reported problems with this either before or after your stay. We are sure any problems in operating the control would be speedily resolved by contacting Dream Cottages. Property Owner

  • "We absolutely fell in love with the house."

It wasn't very clean upon arrival so had to clean for an hr. We were offer for the cleaner to come but we had already done it. There wasn't a anti slip mat in the bath, but was promptly delivered one. We did receive a £50 good will refund for the property not being cleaned properly. But despite all that. We loved to house,so close to everything but quiet. We will definitely be returning to Gone Sailing in the future. If we could buy it we probably would. Thank u dream cottages for making our holiday so lovely.

Thank you for your valuable feedback and pleased you fell in love with Gone Sailing. We are sorry you felt the cottage was not very clean on your arrival, we would have gladly returned to put these issues right for you. We look forward to welcoming you back to Dream Cottages again soon. Property Owner

  • "Beautiful, comfortable well set up holiday cottage- very comfy beds, airy feel throughout property with classic minimal decoration suited for clean relaxed feel."

Excellent tech amenities, praised by my son, and good kitchen wares for families like ours who like to do some cooking. Proper sized bath/shower room, brilliant after beach time. Courtyard garden is a real bonus in hot weather, well maintained with properly usable table and chairs, lighting is a nice touch for evenings. This is a real property find, excellent location to make the most of Weymouth and so easy to live in.

  • "Absolutely loved our stay."

The house was in the perfect location, just a few minutes walk from the stunning harbour, and a quick walk to the top of the street gave us a coastal walk up to Nothe Gardens and Fort. It was also easy to reach the town centre and beach on foot. The property was absolutely perfect for us and we have no complaints at all.

Ideal position for walking to all amenities and the garden was a haven of peace and tranquillity. The cottage itself was perfect in every way from being comforting and welcoming to cleanliness. I cannot praise the letting enough. Thank you and looking forward coming again . We have booked to come again this year in June and September.

  • "The cottage is situated just around the corner from Hope Square in Rodwell very quiet at night, close to local pubs and small convenience store by the harbour."

Easy access via road to all attractions, Asda 5 mins drive away. The house is well furnished with good amenities, very clean, with a very comfortable bed. Very well laid out kitchen. I had a very nice stay and would recommend but these are my negative points: 1) I'm a lone female traveller. The parking permit was for a dark and unlit car park. I would have been more comfortable using another car park nearby. 2) If you have any mobility issues or are short like me using the shower will be difficult as over the bath. The side of the bath is very high, with no step platform available to get in and out although a grab handle is on side of bath.

Shower was a little disappointing and unloading the car can be tricky but we would definitely return if staying in Weymouth again.

Thank you for your feedback and your kind words, we are sorry to learn you were not happy with the shower, the issue with the shower has been clarified as 'low flow' and this will be investigated and rectified. Property Owner

  • "The cottage was very well equipped with everything we could think of."

It was very comfortable and warm, very close to the harbour and tea shops/bars etc. The only down side, if that: There was only two of us (me and husband) so we went in the back bedroom with the king size bed - we didn't find it very comfortable and gave us back ache. We moved into the front bedroom, halfway through the night, on the second night - sorry to give extra washing. No need to publish this part.

Thank you for your feedback, we are very glad you enjoyed the facilities and location provided to you by your stay at Gone Sailing. Following your stay, we have replaced the King-size mattress, so I hope we can welcome you back to this property in the future. Property Owner

  • "A great little cottage for a short break."

5 mins walk to the town centre but far enough away to avoid all of the late night noise. Easy walk to the harbour, Nothe Gardens, pubs/restaurants and Asda supermarket. Around 20 mins walk to the railway station. Cottage was well equipped and very clean. Good sized bathroom with excellent shower. Plenty of storage space throughout. Comfortable beds and quiet location resulted in a great nights sleep, One point to be aware of is that the stairs are very steep and narrow, only to be expected in a cottage like this. Not an issue for me but could be for some. Stayed April 2018

About the location

BREWERS QUAY HARBOUR

Dorchester 8.7 miles; West Lulworth 15.8 miles

Brewers Quay is the old Victorian brewery situated at the heart of the harbour, in Weymouth, Dorset. Much of the grade II listed complex and surrounding brewery buildings date from the late 1800 early 1900’s and many have stones inlaid commemorating their construction year. This area is now a popular destination with many restaurants, café and bars, creating a vibrant culture, where you can relax with a drink and watch the world go by. Tucked away down the harbourside streets, you will find original Tudor harbour buildings, estimated to have been built in 1600 and well worth a visit, with a very interesting history to share. You will also find the Weymouth Museum, with some incredible exhibitions, and the harbour is also home to the lifting bridge, where you can watch the luxury yachts head out to sea, and then walk over the bridge to the town's winding streets of boutique shops and the seafront esplanade and beach. There is more to this seaside town than meets the eye; Brewers Quay is a much-loved holiday destination in Weymouth!
