  We holiday at least once a month, after reading reviews i was worried about this let. no need to worry it was an interesting place both day and night stunning views and peoplee watching was a delight.

  We have stayed here before, the property is well situated, the property needs a few jobs doing, the flushing on the toilets are not good, the carpets could do with a clean, the mattress in main bedroom is very hard and uncomfortable it also makes a noise when turning over, could do with more clothes space as well and maybe a shower in the other bathroom but apart from that we had a lovely week

  Toilets both need attention to flush buttons. Dirty carpet in living room that smells of dogs. Needs a shower in main bar bathroom and towel rail. Most plates got cracks in them. Bed in main bedroom needs new mattress as rock hard. Shame as location brilliant. Also dream cottages need to inform the restaurant downstairs to move the giant flag they have right outside window which blocks view and keeps tapping on the window.

• "Our second year here and as much as we love the location (can spend hours on the balcony watching the world go by) and secure parking it was disappointing to have the same issues as before, along with most reviews on the property."

  Still needs TLC, still needs towel rails, still needs a shower in the main bathroom (essential when there are 4 adults!), and this year we had to boil water in a saucepan for drinks as the kettle was disgusting with lime scale. Really hope these small matters are addressed as this is a great place to stay, for the price it costs for a week's stay it's not a big ask of the owner.

  Stayed here last year too and the review consensus was it needed a few tweaks and a little t.l.c.Still applies,though the balcony furniture has been replaced(although the table is black glass and gets VERY hot!!!).This would not stop me staying again,in fact I`ve just booked for next year!!!!!

  Brilliant having a washing machine to wash towels for hygiene. Needs some repairs doing. Window leaking in lounge which floods over window cill. Desperately needs a shower in main bathroom as difficult for 4 sharing to have to wait to go through main bedroom for a shower. Also needs towel rail in main bathroom and toilet button repair. Great views. Overall appartment needs TLC

  There was a slight niggles with just1 toilet roll per toilet. But we overcame that. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and were very happy to be there. The parking was very handy too.

• "Lovely, well situated property."

  Great having a parking space. Comfortable beds, cleanliness was excellent. Downside, the sofa was uncomfortable, dated. Dated furnishings and decor in the lounge. Obvious maintenance work needed on the windows and window ledge in the lounge. But views were amazing, ideally situated for public transport, pubs, restaurants.

  The property itself is in good location shops bars restaurants all in walking distance the only downside to the property it’s in need of some repairs where the dining table is near the wall you can tell that it’s either been scraped with the chairs and the plaster is off few scuffs on the walls in most rooms just don’t understand why the are that high up the room window leaks from somewhere the shower is to small my other half couldn’t turn around in it I even struggled a little the mattress are to springy very uncomfortable and when tossing and turning it’s all u can here but over all not a bad stay

  It was situated on a very busy road with a night club opposite. Boy racers going up and down into the early hours of the morning would not recommend this to anyone if they are after a relaxing peaceful holiday.

• "We have been going with you long time and this time we're quite disappointed with this apartment , it was not the usual standard there is a leak in the small side window which water is coming in and black mould along the window and that doesn't open properly ."

  The master bedroom has black mould along the bottom and the paint is peeling off ,and windows so dirty you can't see out off them . Not a good experience

  On the negative side I have to re-iterate what others have said, really needs towel rails in both bathrooms and a shower in the main bathroom, also needs a bit of TLC, fresh paint and a new carpet in the main living area.

• "We had a great stay, the apartment is in a great location."

  The balcony is a good size and having private secure parking was great. The apartment was fully equipped, clean and tidy with fantastic views of the harbour. It had everything that you could wish for apart from a couple of minor things. Firstly, we were two couples so and extra arm chair/comfy chair would have been nice to relax in. A wardrobe would have been good, I know the bedrooms could not fit one in but maybe more hanging space in the hallway? A bit of paint and new carpet in the lounge would have finished the apartment off to a high standard.

• "The scaffolding and green netting spoiled the view from the En-Suite bedroom."

  The associated work created considerable dust which covered the balcony, preventing use of that facility. We do not think it unreasonable to receive a credit for the resulting inconvenience. There is water leaking into the property from the window facing the main road.

  We found cleanliness facilities and views from all windows 10/10. Our only negatives were the noise from Prezzo restaurant below and sharp corners on the glass topped coffee table in the lounge which scratched my husbands leg We have been to many properties through Dream/Sykes cottages and this is certainly one of the best overall We will definitely book this apartment again

  Facilities were a bit basic, no where to hang up more than 1 towel in both bathrooms and very small shelf for toiletries seemed a bit cheap for such an expensive apartment.

  Disappointed balcony was very dirty! Had to clean hand rail, glass screens and old wooden furniture before use. Windows dirty. Apartment needs decorating and well worn carpets and furnishings replaced ASAP! No wardrobes in this property only hooks. Have stayed in Harbourside several times but the apartment is now looking neglected. .

  Very clean and well appointed. Good to have our own secure parking space under the building which was a real bonus. Lift was out of action for a couple of days but these things can't be helped. Would definitely like to return at some point.

• "Fantastic location, window and balcony views fascinating with boats and people always on the move."

  Lots more to Weymouth than we realised. Can be a bit noisy at times with live bands in the pubs a new the bridge going up but that comes with being where the action is! Apartment really comfortable and with the car park underneath and accessible from the building with lift and stairs to all floors it is so convenient - perfect! Flat shows a bit of wear and tear which I find comforting as can live in it rather than spend the whole time worrying about keeping it all perfect. Super location and flat - will be back.

• "The apartment is ideally situated, with lovely views of the harbour, but is in need of some maintenance."

  Both the window in one bedroom and the Juliet balcony door in the other bedroom did not close properly meaning we could hear more noise than we expected. The door handle to the balcony is loose, the lounge carpet is threadbare in places. The sofa was torn and the back of it was dusty. We had to clean the inside of the kitchen cupboards and drawers, along with the contents, as they were dirty. There was grease on the cooker hood and food splashes on the hob. With a 4 star rating we would have expected better than this. We have been using Dream Cottages for years and this is the first time we have felt disappointed.

  Excellent position. Very clean.REALLY needs a shower in the main bathroom. Why no dishwasher. Who uses a washing machine on holiday? Balcony chairs pretty bad but dining chairs fitted on the balcony nicely. Lift worked well.

  2019, I reported glass shelf in fridge missing still missing. Lounge carpet dirty and stained. Cushions dirty, sofa leather torn. En suite shower mould rust. Bath slow to fill takes 10-15 minutes. Mattress protector too small for bed and stained. Light pulls dirty. Balcony loose boards. Really disappointed that these things could have been sorted in lockdown. This a wonderful apartment but sad to see it in need of TLC!

• "The apartment was nice and big, with a great location."

  But, the cleaning was not very good - especially as we were told early check in was not possible due to the deep cleaning needed. There was food remnants in the fridge, brown sticky stuff on the kitchen counter and the shower had thick black mould on the shower hose - which we could clean with a bit of scrubbing. The other downside was the lack of shower in the main bathroom - which wasn’t noted in the property description on the Vrbo listing. With a property rented at this price, we expected all the comfort and convenience we have at home - and it was inconvenient to only have a shower in the on suite, that 4 adults had to share. We chose this property for the 2 bathrooms.

  Light from the harbour bridge lights up the bedrooms making it very difficult to sleep due to no blackout curtains. Vacuum cleaner handle was broken looked like it had not been emptied in months. Furniture showing signs of wear, decking on balcony needs attention.

• "After having this property for many years, i found this year was far the worst."

  Considering there were supposed to be extra cleaning measures due to covid this was not the case. Upon arrival i had to spend over an hour cleaning and sanatising the property myself. The toilet had remains of excrement, the sofa was dirty and filthy cushions on top, the cooking pans still had food stuck in them so again i had to wash them. The headboards were thick with dust, the bedroom drawers were broken. This does not justify the hours of waiting to go into the property to start the hoilday. If i had not already got the same property booked for this september then i would never have it again. I am very anxious now about it. Could i suggest running a text system for when a property is ready for clients to be able to go in instead of waiting until 5 when there is no need if that property is ready. For buildings with shared lifts this causes problems as everyone arriving wants the lifts the same time. Also i once again express that the time does not justify the cleaning done.

  My little boy loved watching the bridge going up and down to let the boats sail through. A little noisy during the weekend nights but to be expected in a town. The apartment had everything we needed and was well stocked with kitchen equipment, utensils and even a few books and games. I would recommend it to others.

• "Firstly the staff at the Dream cottage located in Weymouth were superb."

  Great support as it was our first time at the property. The Apartment was fantastic with great views over the harbour. HOWEVER - It is a pity that a Nightclub is located just across the road from the Apartment. We were constantly being woken by the very noisy music (especially the base drum!) right through until around 3am. This was the only negative issue about the Apartments location.

• "Lift does not always respond if going down to garage."

  Seems to work ok going up and all other destinations. Intercom to front door may not be working. Sometimes the door from the garage will not open from the garage side and the shutter to the garage sometimes takes a while to work (may be the battery in the fob). I will be leaving a review on trip advisor telling about all the good points of the accommodation without mentioning these items as they would not have been a problem had I not been in a wheelchair. Otherwise the apartment is great with perfect views over the bridge and harbour.

• "The property description is incorrect - it says one of the bedrooms has a king-sized bed which was important for us when we booked as my husband is 6ft 5" but in fact the bed is only queen sized (5ft wide) not king-sized (6ft wide) - it also had a very hard mattress which was therefore uncomfortable for us (however I do appreciate that mattress firmness is a personal preference)."

  I also note that the curtains in the main bedroom did little to keep the light out - with the town lifting bridge so close and multiple street lights on all night the curtains did little to darken the room at night only providing privacy and as a consequence I had to go out and buy a sleep eye mask to use all week. The apartment could also have been cleaned better with a large clump of hair on arrival on a bedroom floor and a used plaster in a bowl of pot pourrii. The location was however great.
