• "Lovely stay!"

  location was great. The double bed was uncomfortable and could do with curtains in the main bedroom. Kitchen was well equipped, overall a great stay.

  The kitchen and facilities were amazing. The location of the cottage suited us very well. We enjoyed our stay at Louisa Cottage. There were some things which we felt would benefit from attention: the front door and step, the gap in the French doors, the “garden”, the blinds in the twin room (they had to be opened and closed manually because the cord no longer works), the master bedroom would benefit from better window covering as there was too much light from outside at night. A more detailed map of the immediate area would have been helpful, even a visitors’ book might have helped with notes on where others had visited and walked. We didn’t have transport so relied on buses, trains and walking. The lack of a tourist information centre in the area is regrettable.

• "Our stay at Louisa cottage was very pleasant it was clean and tidy and well equipped, you have the harbour shops, pubs, coffee shops and one of the best fish and chip shops (Bennetts) we were a party of five and felt very at home throughout our stay we will be booking again in the future."

• "Louisa cottage was amazing."

  A really quirky beautiful cottage situated on Weymouth Harbour. The cottage was lovely and clean, very comfortable and really well equipped. We were greeted with a lovely Hamper from Dorset Happy Hamper containing lovely local chocolate, ground coffee, biscuits and Dorset tea bags, all were yummy and there was a fresh pint of milk in the fridge, these were a lovely surprise and felt very welcoming, thank you very much. We were a party of five and we felt very comfortable at Louisa cottage and we all loved it. We loved the homely feel and the decor and it felt homely and had lovely warm happy vibes. We loved being within steps of the harbour wall and could see and hear all the activity on the harbour. Thank you so much for making our stay welcoming and comfortable. We will definitely come back and we have already recommended Louisa Cottage to our family and friends xxxx

  Clean comfortable and well equipped cottage, we recommend Nothe car park, £6 8.00 till 6.00 free overnight and just a few minutes walk away

• "Ideally situated, very close to the coffee shops, restaurants,shops, harbour, beach was only a short walk."

  The 'Dreams cottages' office was extremely helpful, (one minute away). One niggle would be, lack of curtains, the Venetian blinds were very tired.

  it was amazing I would highly recommend this property, it was ideally situated for walking to town. The facilities in the property were amazing I could go on all day about how great it was. When we go back to Weymouth I will book this again.

• "Lovely cottage and really spacious inside."

  Only niggle was the blinds in the bedrooms need replacing as you can't fully close them and this lets the light in, or curtains need to be installed as well.

• "Very conveniently located property, very close to the harbour, local cafes, pubs and restaurants, but also reasonably quiet."

  One item that would be a definite plus, is a dishwasher, just a small counter top one would be fine. Double bed mattress should be replaced with a more comfortable one. The single beds were very good. We will be back again

  Can be noisy in that area especially at the weekend. The house is large and well set up. I would book here again.

• "Location brilliant, all amenities you could ask for, completely spotless and compliments to the cleaning team."

  Parking easy with even more parking places fee of charge including Lodmoor, whick we love to do breakfast at Brewers fare Pub, Portland Bill we always do runs too Just love the smell of the sea and sounds of seagulls and boats. Recommended to all. Thanks again for a dream holiday and have already booked with you again for next summer.

• "We all had a lovely holiday in Louisa cottage."

  Location was excellent. Brewers quay area is lovely for pubs restaurants and entertainment. But still close to the town. The cottage is nice with plenty of room for a family. The only complaint was the mattress were far too hard I would definitely recommend this cottage. Already booked for next year

• "The cottage was in an excellent location for all of the local shops bars and restaurants plus easy to walk to all of the local things that we wanted to see."

• "I payed a lot less for Quay Cottage and got a 5 star experience."

  The front room light didn't work, the outside panel on patio doors is falling off, the shower plug in main bathroom is slightly blocked had to stay in shower till water went down, no secondry glazing in main bed room, most of the window blinds didn't work properly, the extention lead in twin bedroom is showing bear wires which is a fire hazard, no cleaning products under sink which would have helped covid cleaning but what made me really angry was we didnt get in till 6.00pm. Oh and no highchair as requested till 24hrs later.

• "We were planning to use the internet for home schooling during our week In Weymouth , unfortunately the internet was down and it took 4 days and daily visits in to the agents before the company even looked into it."

  Really disappointed that this could have not been resolved , it appeared very little attempt was made to try and sort this out for us and we left after a week with no internet access.

  We arrived to find a bag of laundry by the entrance. There were issues with the boiler. When we went upstairs there were large cobwebs on the windows-how the cleaner failed to see these was a mystery as the windows were open. In the upper rooms the bedside lamps were unplugged-one had a broken bulb and when we moved the furniture to plug them in the beds in both upstairs rooms had lots of dust (I would think several weeks worth) under the beds where we also found the alarm clocks. The toilets were not clean neither was the shower in the main bathroom-this room was also very dusty in the corners and the radiator was covered in fine dust-possibly talcum. The shaving light didn't work. Only one tea towel was provided for the entire week and two toilet rolls, a situation I found hard to believe as this was a property which slept five. There was no hand towel in the kitchen and a missing bulb. The outside area was described as a patio-in fact it was a broken concrete yard with black mold on the walls, weeds and wooden garden furniture which was unusable unless you were a collector of splinters. We spoke to the agent who said the property had been "deep-cleaned" prior to our arrival. i have rented property both in England and abroad and have never stayed antwhere where the kitchen was completely devoid of basic foodstuffs ie salt, pepper, oil etc.
