  • "Very Poor Cleaning - Greasy marks on the mirrors and windows, mildew around the bath, broken panel at the end of the bath Filthy bathroom lighting pull cord for the main light and the bathroom mirror Filthy Balcony Furniture - Cob-webs and bird mess on both chairs Balcony faces the Post Office sorting office so no view, no privacy, lots of road and pedestrian noise."

Seagulls were a little noisey but got used to their cackling Smell of Cigerettes & Weed at the entrance and on the second floor Customer expected to take their rubbish at the end of their stay to the dustbin area on the ground floor Parking permit for G & H areas - There is a loading bay outside the property that you can unload and take to your appartment. However, you should have someone sitting in your vehicle just incase the traffic warden comes around. We experienced this and were given the time he went around the block to get all of our bags to the second floor, pick-up the G & H street parking permit, and then spend 25 minuts looking for a parking place nearby. You can parking with the permit at the Pavilion Car park which is near the beach or an even longer distance to Swannery Car Park. NOTE - There are a couple of small car parks and a multi-storey car park nearer to the appartment but you will need to pay out of your own pocket to stay there. Extra NOTE - If you do park near the mariner you can only park for free from 18:00 to midnight. We met a family who have stayed around this area around Lower St Alban Street and they got a PCN. Would we come back to Weymouth - Absolutely yes. Beautiful sandy beaches, lovely blue water, crab fishing (not sure if they are edible) and lots of places to eat. Places to visit - Portland Island - Absolutely beautiful views across the english channel, War memorials around the island was very moving Post Office Dept - daily Opening of car park shutters at 03:55 - Noisey and disrupted our sleep. Rolling cages, loud talking added to our annoyance. At Night - Lots of slamming doors coming into and out of the appartment block, cars playing loud music, shouting in the early hours for several of the days and the most noticable sound, which was continuous when you notice it, is this low pulsing / humming generator sound. I could not pin-point were it was coming from but it sounded like it was coming from the Post Office depot across the road. Its one of those things that once you hear it you cannot un-hear it. View from the appartment - Looks directly accross to the sorting office. Cannot have any curtains open so were left half closed to maintain privacy. This meant the rooms were dark most of the time View from the balcony - Early morning, during the day and evening is very noisey. Seating area is a good size for several people to sit and have a chat and drink but the noise is very distracting and annoying as you cannot hear each other talking. There is no view except the one-way road below and the Post Office sorting depot. In a nutshell, a lovely sized appartment for 4 people, 2 x rooms, one decent sized living room with a small but adequate dining table and sofa for 3 people. lots of power sockets, all the usual domestic appliances, microwave, toaster, kettle, Oven, Fridge / Freezer but could do with regular deep cleening to be honest.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm sorry the flat was not more to your liking. It is of course cleaned regularly after each guest, but I will discuss your other points with the cleaners. You'll appreciate that with such a central location, there will always be a level of activity which you won't get with a property further out of town. I hope you enjoyed your holiday overall. • "The internal of apartment was spotless."

The internal and external windows were very dirty. The decking and external furniture needs cleaning. It needs a further sofa , the single blue chair has no legs. For four people not enough seats. We had to contact Blitz who are responsible for the corridor and lift cleaning , which was filthy , they come out and did a good clean . The lift still needs a deep clean. The management company need to be told about the state of the common area which need a good clean. Especially the entrance way and steps. The apartment is in a very good location.

  • "Fantastic base for your holiday close to all amenities Only downside was the smell in communal areas."

The carpark pass that was available was not listed and could do with a can opener other than that great

  • "The apartment was lovely , problem with shower with lots of water coming over and making a puddle by the sink."

The smell in the entrance wasn’t very welcoming . But as far as situation and location could not fault it. There is a Royal Mail sorting office right opposite but as we ware early risers it was not a problem

  • "A bathroom cabinet would be useful so that toiletries can be put away after use leaving the bathroom tidy during the day."

We found that the facilities for hanging/ storing our clothes were a bit sparse. The air in the communal corridor outside the apartment was very stale and it was an unpleasant atmosphere to walk through. In addition the stale air entered the apartment every time the door was opened and an air freshener had to be purchased and used in the Hall .

Thank you for the feedback and I’m sorry the communal areas did not meet your expectations. As you will appreciate this is difficult to manage if other tenants smoke in their property. I have mentioned this to the managing agents who will remind tenants of the need to close fire doors etc. Property Owner

  • "The flat was ideal."

Clean and bright and very comfortable. It was a shame the Lift was out of order which would be a problem with people who have a mobililty issues. The only downside is that the apartment is opposite the Post Office delivery centre, So were woken up at 0400hrs every morning with vans arriving and leaving and lots of loud talking. If you are a heavy sleeper this would be no problem. Otherwise keep the windows closed. You were idealy placed for the town and harbour,In the information supplied it was stated the Free car Park was a 10minutes walk away or you could arrange for car parking locally for £25:00. This was untrue as it is £70:00 for the week. We had a good Holiday and will return.

Thank you for the feedback. I’m sorry the lift was out of order during your stay- this has now been fixed. I have noted your comments about the post office opposite and provide free earplugs in case this or the seagulls disturb future guests. Property Owner
