"Great property in great location, extremely close to harbour."
Garage parking a real asset. Unfortunately our young children found a tablet under a bed and a vape under the sofa. Also there was food and drink in cupboards, which we presume were from previous guests (which we did not touch), although instructions when departing are clear that all food should be removed.

"We have stayed in the Old Boathouse twice before, we love where it is situated."
It also has its own parking and garage which in Weymouth is important as parking in the centre is not easy or cheap. Very near to bars restaurants and shops and the local bus service. We enjoy walking all around Weymouth but especially to the lovely Greenhill Gardens. The apartment is very comfortable and very well equipped, we did eat in but not every day, the kitchen has everything you need. We look forward to hopefully staying again in the future.

"Thoroughly enjoyable holiday, the house is very comfortable and in an excellent location, thank you very much."
-
"The tv is tuned in to west midlands hence the quality was very poor."
Cleanliness around the taps very poor. Shelves required in the bathroom and shower.Mirrors required in the bedrooms. The walls to all rooms look bare without pictures.
-
"Great place to stay especially for central Weymouth and river related activities, everything in walking distance."
Parked our Mercedes van in the garage all week which was brilliant, room to walk round and get to side doors easily. Accommodation was clean and spacious and had everything needed. We had a really good stay and would book again without hesitation. Owners obviously care about their property and guests, Thank you

"Great property, great location, Poor TV reception Fridge door on the wrong way round"
-
"Great property with decent sized rooms and good facilities."
My only small issue was that, for the money, it would have been nice to have had a few more basics available like washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, few more bin bags for the small waste bins, etc. Maybe also some basics like a pint of milk, sugar, coffee, etc., all of which I’ve had when we’ve stayed in other places. But overall the place was great and would happily stay there again if we’re in Weymouth.

"The only reason we would not recommend the home, would be if someone had mobility problems, as the stairs are vety steep, which the property description does warn of."
Evetything included that you could possibly need. Having two bathrooms was very useful. The added benefit of an off-road garage is great for those with a vehicle. Lovely to be able to see the inner harbour from the frontroom window. If we decide to return to Weymouth as a large famiy again, we will certainly look to see if there is a vacancy. Thank you.

"Good property in a nice location, not as clean as it should be, ( we have photos if required ) but we had a good week."
-
"Amazing house with comfortable rooms and facilities ."
Lovely view of the marina through the lounge window.. Only let down was a terrible Wi-Fi connection no good if Wi-Fi is needed.

"Excellent - perfect accommodation and location !"
-
"Great property, ideally situated in central Weymouth."
Reversed my Fiesta in the garage with ease. We had read a previous review about steep stairs but my elderly mother with two knee replacements managed the first set of stairs (slightly steeper than your home) with ease as there were safety rails. We were even lucky to briefly meet the owner.

"The Old Boathouse is in the perfect location for just about everything, Restaurants, Bars, Takeaways, Shops and of course the harbour and the beautiful beach with all the various children’s rides and entertainment."
The Train Station is about 10 minutes walk away, which we have used before but this time we used the Bus into Dorchester for the market on a Wednesday. We were very lucky with the weather sunshine all week, so spent a lot of time on the beach or walking down to the Putting Green at Greenhill Gardens which are beautiful. The apartment is very comfortable and very clean, and well equipped we had everything we needed. The garage is much appreciated we only used the car once the whole week and that was for a food shop. We have stayed in this apartment before and would definitely recommend.

"Great property in a great location."
The 3 bedrooms and separate bathroom was all as described in the listing. Having a garage so close to the harbour and town was brilliant. Not having to worry about parking and parking fees was very welcome. The view of the boats and water from the property was excellent. Would stay there again and hopefully will do so soon.

"Very comfortable and great location for Weymouth fishing boats and the town."
Garage very handy, managed to get my Mondeo Estate in there so most cars would fit, you also get a road permit if you prefer. Well appointed with all the facilities you require for your stay. Only complaint just the one set of keys in lock box. Most lets have another set for use inside the property, just makes life easier than using the box every time to get in!

"We really enjoyed our stay at The Old Boathouse."
The location was ideal for family beach days and the children enjoyed watching the boats from the living room window. The utility room was very useful for our family with two small children. Our only criticism is that the crockery in the cupboards was dirty and we needed to wash bowls, plates and cups before we could use them. This was disappointing considering the late check in time of 5pm due to ‘deep cleaning!’

"Spacious apartment with everything you could possibly need."
Ideally situated for the shops, restaurants and pubs. Will definitely return.
-
"Excellent location."
Our second visit to this property and we would recommend this for anyone. Garage was good addition. We have Skoda Maria which fitted easily.

"Great property, fab location very close to the harbour with lots of places to eat and drink."
Property clean and tidy on arrival. Modern and well stocked kitchen (crockery wise). Clean white bathrooms and a good strong shower even at the top of the house (property across 3 stories with relatively steep stairs so not for those with mobility issues). Parking was a little tight but with help directing me in, my Fiesta fitted no problem. Only negatives were tiny things, like no dishwasher tabs so we had to buy our own (probably due to COVID), a really soft mattress in the double at the top which didn’t work for my back, and bed linen patterns which reminded me of curtain sets my gran used to have in the 90s! Would recommend this place (especially if they bought new bed linen!).

"Terrific location, very close to central Weymouth!"

"Fabulous location, stunning picture window, well equipped, comfortable holiday rental."

"We have just returned from The old Boathouse Weymouth First I must say that it was SPOTLESSLY clean the location is wonderful within walking distance of the beach, the harbor, pubs, and restaurants but just far enough away so you weren't on top of them."
The garage was big enough to get our car in (Tuscon) although it was a squeeze. I am sorry to say there is a negative and for us, the bed on the first floor was rock hard - I know that a beds comfort is a personal choice but honestly the concrete floor would have been more forgiving. and for this reason, only we wouldn't stay there again which is a shame as everything else about this property is perfect.

"Very good comfortable property in an excellent position that is almost exactly as listed, apart from the confusion of the amount of bathrooms in the property, there are 2 bathrooms, not 3 as stated in 1 listing, saying that, both are of a good size."
The stairs are not as narrow or as steep as I thought they would be from the listing. Overall this is a good holiday property in a great location, a very short walk gets you anywhere you want to go, Pub/Shops within 50 meters. We had a GREAT stay and will stay here again.

"The property was lovely."
In a central position, with pleasant views across the harbour, we would certainly consider staying there again. The property was smartly-furnished, with a better kitchen than many we have stayed in. We would have appreciated more lamps around the place, as the overhead lighting wasn't to our taste and there was also a lack of waste bins, but these are minor quibbles. However, our stay was spoiled by the horrendous building works taking place next door. On weekdays, the noise began at 08.00 and continued until around 17.00. We had constant drilling, grinding and hammering to put up with and had to keep the windows closed even on the hottest days and also kept the curtains closed due to builders on scaffolding. We are glad we decided to travel by train, as the garage was permanently blocked by builders' vans and JCBs so a car would have been no use to us. We strongly believe that this should have been made clear to us when we were booking: I accidentally found out that building was going on through viewing Streetview on Google Maps. I subsequently revisited the Dream Cottages website and saw reviews mentioning the building works. Searching the property's web page, I finally found mention of the building works at the very bottom of the page under "About the Location". As we know Weymouth well, we had no reason to view this section. I believe you deliberately chose to hide the truth about this property in order to avoid losing bookings and I found this very disappointing: our booking definitely wasn't worth paying over £1000 for the week in the circumstances, and we will have to reconsider staying with Dream Cottages in the future

"The building work that was going on next door was horrendous."
Workmen feeding gulls and stood outside windows. Spoilt the cottage. Much too noisy.
-
"We had problems getting into the key safe as the previous occupier had jammed it shut."
Your staff were extremely helpful and the owner replaced it during the week. The builders next door were not too noisy and were very helpful and apologised for any inconvenience. Overall we really enjoyed our holiday and would recommend the Boathouse cottage and Sykes Cottages for your helpful service.
-
"The house was very ideal setting so happy with this house definitely coming back :)"
-
"Would have appreciated being informed of the extensive building works taking place directly next door which involved high levels of dust and noise from 8am onwards."
Other than aforementioned lovely holiday home though televisions in the bedrooms would have upped the review ante.
-
"Nobody mentioned building works next door."
I have to rest in the afternoons as I have cancer, this wasn't possible because of the noise. Also to get your vehicle in and out of the garage required asking the builders to move their vehicles from in front of the garage...if you could get them to hear you shouting.
