  • "Lovely stay property was nice and clean."

The welcome box was much appreciated after a long journey. The only negative was the comfort of the sofa as the seat is quite long and I have short legs. Would recommend to family and dog owners, many extras like crab bucket for children, games. Dog bowl provided for dog and a nice garden . Thank you for our stay. Susan

  • "We absolutely loved our stay at South Harbour!"

The house was spacious, clean and comfortable. It was really lovely to receive the hamper on arrival and tea towel, washing up liquid, pint of milk in the fridge etc was really thoughtful. We parked at the council offices and walked up the steps throughout our stay. Parking in surrounding streets is unregulated and from what we saw pretty competitive and unregulated. We felt our car was safer in the car park! The house is well located for the town and harbour, but just removed enough to have some peace and quiet. One thing of note, the dishwasher wasn't quite cleaning thoroughly, I ended up having to re wash items in the sink. We got used to the very noisy and territorial seagulls (nesting?) on the roof of the conservatory. The bathroom was really lovely, perfect for a family of four! Beds very comfortable and clean. One of the wardrobe doors felt a bit wobbly in the children's room, might need checking. Cooker and washing machine worked really well. Thanks again for such a delightful stay!

  • "The property itself is ideal and the location is great."

It was also very suitable for our young toddler who could roam around the house safely. The gate that was already up was fantastic as well as the additional gate that was provided although we did bring our own as this wasn’t stated in the details. The small issue we had was with the dishwasher as this was fill of rust inside so therefore we felt this was not suitable to use. Other than that the house was clean and we had a very enjoyable stay. The welcome box was also a lovely little touch.

  • "This property wasn't as clean as previous properties, it needs new saucepans and baking trays, we had to wash all items before we could use them."

The bed was comfortable and clean, but the sofas needed a deep clean and weren't very comfortable.

  • "Really liked the house, and it's location to the harbour/town."

Loved the bath! And the kitchen was great, with everything we needed. The bedrooms were very comfortable and we both slept very well. The stair gate was a great help with keeping the dog downstairs as he doesn't like to feel left out. The only reason I've not given four stars was I had to park a few streets away (I hadn't realised it was a single track road outside the property), and I wasn't so comfortable on the sofas in the lounge, but that is nothing against the sofas themselves, just my own personal preference. Overall, a very enjoyable stay, thank you.

  • "We had a lovely stay."

The cottage was great and it was a nice surprise to find a great selection of beach items for the children and a huge haul of board games. Parking was a slight issue but we knew before arrival that parking wasn’t available. If there were any way of providing guests with a weekly permit that would be really helpful. We would definitely stay again.

  • "This property needs some updates."

Garden needs tidyying and bushes cutting back. Bathroom door does not lock. Fridge was not clean and some cups/plates still dirty. Stopped here last year without any issues. Last year a parking permit was provided. However this year no permit. Maybe a cost cutting idea. I would not stop in the property again.

  • "Fantastic stay, perfect little holiday home."

Nice little touches with books and assorted games for a rainy day. Only downsides bush in garden needs cutting back (losing about 2’ garden space) and very difficult to shave in bathroom (mirror set back in wall) could do with a shaving mirror. Apart from those minor issues the property is perfect and set in an ideal location very close to the harbour, shopping centre and beach. Throughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

  • "Cleanliness of cottage and upkeep of the garden leave a bit to be desired."

Good location for walking to the Quay side but tricky to navigate car parking - not so much an isolated issue for this cottage but for all holiday lets down this particular road. Definitely do your research on Google Maps for exact location before booking.

  • "What a great find!"

Comfortable and very well equipped cottage. Loved the sunny kitchen diner and the overall space downstairs. Very comfortable beds- so much so that I've made a note of the types of mattress in both rooms! We'd definitely like to stay here again. Thanks for another great stay in Weymouth, Dream Cottages.

  • "Excellent cottage with great facilities."

Fully equipped. Brilliant location for town, beaches, harbour. Only problem was parking. There should have been a parking permit. Off loading and loading on arrival and departure was made much more difficult because road was so narrow that it was impossible to park even for a short time to load and off load. The information pack stated a parking permit but it was not there. It cost a further £25 to park which added to the cost of staying at the property..There is also a very bright street lamp right outside the bedroom window.

  • "Lovely holiday enjoyed by all."

Excellent location to the town and Harbour. A smart television would be a good idea as the free view channels are so limited. A different type of blind would be an idea for the main bedroom due to the closeness of the houses opposite and the blind has to be down most of the time for privacy which means the room is dark, perhaps a net would be better. The cleanliness was excellent. Parking could be an issue but we managed to park just round the corner which was great with my elderly mam. Dream Cottages were great when we reported an issue with the boiler, action was taken immediately even though it was a Sunday.

  • "The cottage was beautiful."

We had a couple of issues on arrival, but when we reported them to the office they dealt with them straight away - friendly and great service. Would definitely use Dream Cottages again, whether at this property (which we loved) or another with better parking, and we'd recommend to friends looking for a comfortable, home-from-home break in Weymouth. P.S. We felt very safe with the covid procedures and distancing in place everywhere we visited.
