"Wonderful property."
4th year in a row we've stayed there. Perfect location. Even on the rainy day we had it was lovely to sit in the window and watch the world go by. Our son has booked for next year after seeing the property.
-
"Great as always."
This is the third time we have stayed at Tradewinds. So that tells all.
-
"Tradewinds is a fantastic apartment sat right on the Quay."
It was exactly as the pictures from the brochure showed and was in a brilliant position for the weekend festival we were lucky enough to be part of. A really nice gesture from the owners was a bottle of fresh milk in the fridge and a welcome box containing tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits and chocolate. We would recommend Tradewinds to anyone thinking of visiting Weymouth.
-
"We couldn’t fault our stay at Tradewinds."
The apartment was clean, spacious and the view from the front windows overlooking the river was great, wether that was watching the sunrise with a coffee which was kindly supplied by the cottage, or a glass of wine in the evening watching the world go by. The location of Tradewinds is also perfect, we didn’t use the car all week. Would definitely stay again. 10/10

"What a superb property."
Apart from the amazing location we really appreciated the the cleanliness; level of equipment and the warmth. (It was a freezing, but gloriously dry & sunny week) There is no back door access to the car but once you know how to find the car parking space, its fine providing guests are reasonably mobile and likely safer than using the steps which look sooooo steep) Loved our stay. Thank you

"First-class first-floor apartment, well appointed, clean and comfortable."
Great views over the river and excellent location with easy access to facilities in Weymouth. Even though it was winter there was a good choice of restaurants.
-
"We loved the apartment - it had the best view of the harbour that we have had so far."
The flat was immaculate, stylish and comfortable. We would love to stay at Tradewinds again.
-
"One of the best holiday lets we have stayed in."
This was the second stay this year and will be booking again for next year. The flat position must be one of the best in Weymouth. We are both in our 70s and just to sit in the bay window was great. Always something happening in the harbour but a very quiet. The flat was clean and tidy but showing signs wanting a deep clean but this is the end of the season. ie. Carpets/ mats/ settee and oven needs deep cleaning ( not in the power of weekly cleaning in the short time they have). We are looking forward to staying again early next year. David and Pat.

"I've been to this property several times now."
The double bed duvet is 13.5 tog (beautiful duvet) but much too hot for summer. The window in the middle room doesn't open properly and the blinds in both bedrooms are broken. I've reported them several times before but they haven't been looked at. I like the property very much and the position on the river is lovely. A beautiful view from the bay window. Beautifully clean.
-
"The location of Tradewinds is perfect and a car parking space makes it a great rental property."
The view from the lounge window is stunning! I would definitely book again if we were to holiday in Weymouth.
-
"This is the second time we have visited Tradewinds."
It is ideally placed in Weymouth for all the amenities. It is a comfortable, clean and beautifully furnished apartment. We particularly enjoyed the window seats!
-
"We have stayed in the flats for a number of years now and love them."
No major issues this year but, it would be good to repair/replace the washer drier as only the washing machine works now. This is needed as there is no where to hang washing in this flat. There was no cork screw in the flat but, DREAM made one available the same day. They also supplied a clothes rack for drying clothes. We had a lovely time. If any of the flats come up for sale, we would love the option to buy one.

"The apartment is in a perfect location the view is outstanding you could sit by the window all day and watch the comings and going’s of the harbour, the apartment has some lovely home furnishings and it is exceptionally comfortable, Previous reviews mention the show yes it’s small but manageable plenty of shelf space around the sink area to store toiletries to take in the shower when using."
Twin bedroom beds are really comfortable the room is lovely and light with plenty of drawer and wardrobe space, double room is a little dark due to lack of light however it’s still a lovely room with very comfortable bed and again plenty of drawer and wardrobe space. The apartment is close to all shops and restaurants. In summary a very comfortable well presented apartment in an ideal location which I would highly recommend.

"Fabulous location."
4th year of booking this property. Never disappoints.
-
"What a beautiful place!"
We had the best holiday and can hardly fault the apartment. From breakfast overlooking the harbour to evenings watching the world go by. The apartment is very well equipped, quirky and comfortable. We had an issue with the kettle blowing the fuse which was resolved quickly. Parking is a squeeze and unpacking the car not straight forward but was all well documented when we booked. The 2 weekend fairs and the road closures made it more difficult but having said that walking out the door to cider, ice cream and live music made up for it! We will most certainly be back very soon, thank you for a brilliant holiday.

"Clothes aider would be useful as there is no tumble drier facility."
The property and view is so good after one day we rebooked the property in September.
-
"Great view,nice flat."
As other reviews the bathroom was not fit for purpose, shower too small ,no hooks or anywhere to put soap etc.Nice quality furnishing etc
-
"Bathroom shower too small and inappropriate design , no shelf for soap and toiletries ."
No where to hang/dry towels. No coat hooks.
-
"Loved the apartment."
We were very happy with everything. Would only mention two things though. The bathroom could do with some hooks or rails to put the towels on. We had to drape them on the doors in the apartment. The flashing light in the double bedroom is alittle off putting during the night. Having said that, we would still recommend the apartment to people and would stay there again.
-
"Fabulous property."
Fabulous location. We've stayed in several properties in Weymouth over the years and for us this is by far the best. In fact this is our fourth stay. For us it's the view. From early morning to late at night its perfect. We couldn't recommend it enough.
-
"Great location with super views over the harbour and close to the beach."
Modern kitchen and bathroom facilities. Car parking is a bit tight but that’s a very minor point. We would recommend and book again without hesitation.

We have stayed at Tradwinds many times before but the General facilities are good but the bathroom is not comfortable the shower is to small and the sink is far to small and no shaving mirror but love the location
-
"Fantastic apartment in a fantastic location."
Beautiful view from the window. Would highly recommend staying at this wonderful property.
-
"Fantastic view have stayed before just as lovely."
The shower leaked and microwave was dirty but the office staff at Weymouth as before could not have been more helpful . Will definitely stay again . Really lovely flat had a wonderful holiday .
-
"On a minor point an ice cube tray in the freezer would be useful."
Also, when compared to other self catering properties we have stayed in, maybe a couple more general purpose kitchen items be available/included eg kitchen roll, liquid hand wash, foil/cling film. Lovely spacious apartment with wonderful harbour views - would definitely stay here again
-
"Fantastic location."
Only problem we had was dragging ourselves away from the wonderful view.
-
"There is dedicated parking for the appartement unfortuneately some one locally ..."
There is dedicated parking for the appartement unfortuneately some one locally was persistently parking in the spot with the result that we had to resort to finding alternatives
-
"It was a nice place to stay within close reach of bars restaurants and shops."
Lots of easy good walks to view Weymouth
-
"We love Weymouth and have been there a number of times."
We've stayed at Tradewinds Three times now and love it. It's extremely clean very nicely furnished and the view of the harbour couldn't be better.
-
"The seal in the washer was broken but we did report it"
-
"This flat has such amazing views from the huge window in the lounge."
Its actually the only holiday ever where we didn't put the TV on at any time - no need as so much was going on outside. To sit in the window watching yachts and fishing boats go past all day was very relaxing.
-
"Really good service from your team with a late booking, the day before the holiday start."
Called to let us know about a missing mattress in case this would be a problem and offered to get one delivered immediately. Very helpful instructions for arrival and finding the allocated parking. The flat was just lovely, perfect location on the Harbour. Everything we needed was provided.
-
"The team at Dream Cottages tried to deal with several problems eg: Fixed the broken blind in the second bedroom;they sent someone to fix mould in shower area( this proved a waste of time as he grouted over the mould, so every time we had a shower the bath ended up full of grout!"
). Their were no door shelves in the fridge, which we were told had to be ordered.
-
"Access to the rear garden and steps to the car park space from tradewinds would have mate a huge difference to us."
Somewhere to hang some washing, put the bbq and get luggage/ bikes from the car instead of having to walk all of the way around. Apart from that, no complaints!! Loved it. We used to stay in these years ago and they are a vast improvement
-
"The main problem with Tradewinds is disposing of rubbish."
It has to be taken to the bins by the car park which involves down2 lots of stairs, along the road and up two steep hills. This can be very difficult and luckily a lady from Dream Cottages helped me by taking it for me.
-
"We wanted a relaxing holiday in lovely surroundings which is exactly what we got."
The view from the window is exactly what you see from the advert. Every minute of every day there is something different to look at. Good selection of pubs and restaurants. Exceeded our expectations. Thank you. We hope to be back soon.
-
"What a perfect place, beautiful view, right near to the town, the beach and the harbour."
Was a lot bigger then we expected as well and had everything we needed, even a travel cot for our 21 month old. The beds were really comfortable and the shower nice and powerful too. One of the blinds in the twin room was broken however as I bring a black out blind anyway it didn’t matter. Would definitely recommend and be going back
-
"Pros: Well appointed flat, comfortable beds."
We spent a LOT of time sitting in the bay window watching the boats go by. Excellent location, we used Weymouth as a base to visit Lulworth Cove, Durdle Dor, Nothe Fort, Monkey World, Old Harry's Rock, Corfe Castle and spent our downtime in the many coffee shops around the harbour (The Library Café, just downstairs from the flat, is great, as is the Harbour Café on opposite side of harbour). Cons: As a family we like to relax and watch TV together, especially on cooler evening. The TV was not a great model. The remote did not 'talk' to the TV at all, it was not a battery problem. By Thursday the TV had scrambled the channels and all we could get was interference. This was swiftly resolved on Friday by the agent, but by the evening the remote had stopped again. I would expect, in this technical age, for there to be a smart TV, thus allowing for Netflix etc to be used. Insufficient hanging space for damp towels.

"This apartment is all about a fabulous bay window ."
It looks out on the Harbour side, the lifting bridge, the far headland, the sea, the breakwater, lots of boats ( of many sizes ), which come and go, and the rise and fall of the tides. The Harbour side restaurants and pubs, are largely on the opposite quay, and well illuminated at night, as is the lifting bridge & old town beyond. The sun rise , and sun setting, give added drama to this wonderful view. Super wet fish shop on the other quay. It is like a deluxe pavement cafe site! In your home. The apartment is just great in most respects. Parking is less than easy, but it is a free space! A little walk away, perhaps 800/900 yards, Unloading the car has to be rushed, as it is a no parking area, except for spaces that are always occupied! The double bedroom is dark, with little natural light, The douvets were super warm. The TV needs careful handling, or it refuses to work, ( we had to get the agents to help us ). Great place, we really enjoyed our time there.

About the location
BREWERS QUAY HARBOUR
Dorchester 8.7 miles; West Lulworth 15.8 miles
Brewers Quay is the old Victorian brewery situated at the heart of the harbour, in Weymouth, Dorset. Much of the grade II listed complex and surrounding brewery buildings date from the late 1800 early 1900’s and many have stones inlaid commemorating their construction year. This area is now a popular destination with many restaurants, café and bars, creating a vibrant culture, where you can relax with a drink and watch the world go by. Tucked away down the harbourside streets, you will find original Tudor harbour buildings, estimated to have been built in 1600 and well worth a visit, with a very interesting history to share. You will also find the Weymouth Museum, with some incredible exhibitions, and the harbour is also home to the lifting bridge, where you can watch the luxury yachts head out to sea, and then walk over the bridge to the town's winding streets of boutique shops and the seafront esplanade and beach. There is more to this seaside town than meets the eye; Brewers Quay is a much-loved holiday destination in Weymouth!
