"A wonderfully comfortable cottage in an ideal location."
Walking easily to restaurants, shops, boats and theatre. A good bus service to other areas. Parking in front of the property a great advantage. Only 2 suggestions. 1. A non slip shower mat in en suite. 2. Grab handles on bath. Thank you for milk, biscuits, tea and coffee etc. Will definitely return Rev Idris Vaughan

"Our stay was wonderful."
The property is beautifully laid out and is quite possibly the best equipped holiday rental we’ve ever stayed in. We were very much in need of a relaxing stay and we were able to do that, thank you.
-
"The location is perfect and we managed to park right in front of the apartment, using the permit provided."
The apartment is very comfortable, clean and has a well equipped kitchen. The television in the lounge could do with updating to a smart one, but other than that we had a lovely stay, thank you.
-
"Fantastic stay, second time around and just as magical."
Location, parking, peaceful, everything within easy walking distance. Thankyou so much for a lovely stay. Booked already for next year.
-
"The property was advised as having a Parking Permit which was “subject to renewal by the Council”."
While this was obviously true, when we arrived we were still disappointed to find the old expired permit on the table with no indication that anything had been done to extend it. We tried to ring the owners several times on the number provided with but no one answered. Having lived in Weymouth ourselves for a period of time we know how difficult it can be to find somewhere to park in or around the harbour so the inclusion of a parking permit was one of the reasons for booking this property. As a result we were forced to find alternate parking at an additional cost.
-
"Second time here lovely holiday home."
-
"Just as described on the Web site and very well equipped."
Perfect location in Weymouth where we were spoiled for choice on cafe, pub or food. The parking permit was a bonus although the walk from the car park is short. Pity the council work at a snail pace on the "improvements" across the road.
-
"Beautiful property, lovely location, very clean and comfortable."
We all love this place and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation in Weymouth. Huge thanks for another great stay!!
-
"The most thoughtfully equipped holiday home we have ever stayed in."
We had simply everything we needed, in a stylish and well-located home. We almost don't want to tell other people so we could keep it to ourselves... One in our party had some reduced mobility and we would have appreciated a clearer description of the layout of the property, and do mention there is a rail at the bedroom steps. This rail was much appreciated. Thank you x

"A very nice apartment."
All the furnishings and equipment are of a high standard. The location is excellent & we did not experience any noise. I was worried about some maintenance on the bridge but the response from Sykes & the owner allayed my fears. I look forward to visiting again.

"Absolutely fabulous holiday at Waterside apartment."
The most comfortable beds I have ever had at a holiday let. Great that one of the bedrooms and bathrooms was on the same level as the living areas for my Dad who has mobility problems. Lots of hot water for all four of us to shower / bath after long hot days out and about. Very well equipped for self catering, although we ate out every night and therefore didn't use any of the cooking facilities. Complimentary drinks tray and fresh flowers was lovely. Also, bonus of a parking permit to park close to the accommodation. My only negative comment was that if requesting to use sanitary bags (as I do at home) that there should be a better supply (only 2 in the shower room and 4 in the bathroom) so dog poo bags came into use

"Lovely property, well situated"
-
"We had a really great holiday."
Brilliant location, property is ideal size for 2 adults and 2 teenagers.
-
"Absolutely love everything except the people upstairs running around in the morning from 6."
30 onwards then in the evening.
-
"Only one annoying issue with the property is it being the ground floor."
Having other people stay in the accommodation above you can be very noisy stomping of feet moving chairs etc.
-
"This is a great property, overlooking the harbour, close to shops, pubs and beach."
It was very clean, also had tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits an a pint of milk in the fridge to welcome us. Property had plenty of cleaning items, as well as wash tabs for the washing machine. Beds comfortable, we opted for the second bedroom (which has 2 single beds) to be made as a king size bed. The only negative thing which I would point out, is that the property upstairs, (which is also a Sykes property) gets quite noisy with people moving around above you. In our case, the people staying, liked to get around 6am, I'm sure they didn't realise, but this did disturb us, as they started their day.
-
"The best holiday accommodation I’ve ever stayed in without a doubt."
Everyone had a fabulous stay, couldn’t fault it at all & already booked for next year!! Thank you so much for all thought & effort which the owners so obviously put into making holidays in their property a real feel good factor and comfortable for the holiday makers, which is much appreciated!
-
"Very well appointed and beautifully equipped apartment, no problems at all."
-
"Wonderful holiday."
Great position for all the amenies. Beds were very very comfy. All in all, we had a wonderful time.
-
"Lovely property, excellent location."
Very comfy beds and sofas, well equipped kitchen, lovely clean bathrooms. Nice to have some milk, coffee and tea provided, so you can have a drink when you arrive! We had a lovely stay here and will definitely be back.
-
"The property was as advertised, we had a great week of sunshine."
The cottage supplied everything you could possibly want, it is close to the town and a large supermarket. We would recommend this property and we will try to book the same one for next year as it was ideal for our needs.
-
"Had a lovely week in Weymouth."
Property was nice and spacious, fantastic location, could not get any closer to the centre. Everything you would need and nice touches, with tea/coffee etc biscuits and milk. Cute little flowers on table too. Also nice little extras in bathroom. Really liked the location and massive choice of good bars and places to eat and such a friendly place. Would have liked blackout blinds/ darker blinds in bedroom but thats personal choice and just what we are used to at home .Also great location for exploring the area. Dog friendly property and area too. Would definitely come back
-
"Beautifully positioned property, bonus having a parking permit, well kitted out, accessible for all amenities."
Will definitely be coming back.

"We had a great stay with our two young children."
Location and facilities were excellent. They enjoyed watching the bridge openings from the window and everything was within walking distance. The property had everything needed for a family including non-slip bath mat, stepping stool, and children’s books for example. There are areas for improvement. Cleanliness needs addressing; there was someone else’s underwear left in a drawer, my hand got covered in cobwebs when putting things in another drawer, tops of mirrors were covered in dust and floor was filthy. Thankfully the kitchen and bathrooms were clean. A few other issues which could be improved are contact details and travel cot provision. I would expect an answering message facility on the contact number provided, this should be relatively easy to do. Also, as is typical, the travel cot did not come with a mattress, but the folding mat was particularly floppy meaning that every night my one year old folded it up to the end and slept on the metal bars. We could not bring our own cot mattress as travel cots do not have standard sizing and no dimensions were listed.

"Lovely property - everything you could need - flat above had three dogs ..."
Lovely property - everything you could need - flat above had three dogs unfortunately there constantly running around in the evening made it hard to sleep in one of the bedrooms - but not a fault of this property which is lovely and well situated, furnishings are lovely and beds very comfortable - only comment is does need more than a superficial clean , blinds , floors under beds ect thick with dust , no doubt as not been used for a long time - but we will be back
-
"We had a lovely week with our dogs at Waterside Weymouth, although the weather wasn’t the best we made the best of it."
-
"As the fourth stay at waterside we knew what to expect and were not disappointed."
Very clean and comfortable, appreciated the option for the twin beds to be combined to a king-size. Thought obviously given to covid requirements and we appreciated the handgel provided for use when leaving and entering.
-
"Fantastic location, 10 minute walk to beach which was great with two young children."
Also, many places to eat along the harbourside (within a minutes walk) and a 5 minute walk to the large supermarket. Very comfortable and clean property for our holiday - had everything we needed. It might be worth noting that there is a shared alleyway to the front door. This wasn't a major issue however, our dog did bark every time someone from the other property walked through the alley.
-
"The location of the cottage was a fantastic start but the actual cottage and facilities within were considerably better than expected."
Often photos make a place look bigger and better than they are but not in the case of Waterside. Everything was considered, the little touches inside made it more than a self catering experience usually is. Clean, comfortable, inviting....we didn’t want to leave
-
"This is our second stay at Waterside apartment and we will definitely return."
It is perfect-very clean with excellent facilities and literally two minutes walk from the centre of Weymouth. Would highly recommend.
-
"Have already booked again for next spring but I was very disappointed to find the booking fee had increased dramatically,' daylight robbery' springs to mind."
. So much so that we are considering choosing another agency for our September/October booking. As we occasionally use AirB&B we might try them.
-
"We really enjoyed our stay it was central for everything, there was a couple of things regarding personal choice, I didn't realise when the two single beds were made into a large double the only way to get out of the bed if you were near the wall was to slide down to the bottom to get out which disturbed the other who was still asleep, and I wasn't very keen about the shower in the bathroom it was difficult to get an ambient temperature and disliked it being overhead (I prefer one onto my upper body from off the wall)."
We had a disabled person with us and she found it difficult to negotiate the steps to the en-suite bedroom (she needed those facilities) it would make sense to put a grab rail on the steps to make things easier, other than that everything was really good and hope to stay there again. Best regards Roy Pettitt
-
"Location was marvellous, easy for town centre and lots of restaurants/pubs close by too in the harbour area."
View over the harbour was fab and 10 minutes to Nothe park was spot on for early morning walks (Doggie came too). The apartment was excellent - comfy sofa's, comfy beds, lovely decor, essentials for a cuppa provided and enough cooking utensils and crockery to feed the 5,000. (I dont cook on hols). I cannot think of a single thing to complain about. Well done the owners for Waterside and Sykes!
-
"We had a lovely stay in this superbly situated apartment."
The only couple of things we'd mention are that on the listing, perhaps it would be worthwhile mentioning about the few steps there are to get in the property and also within the property. We wanted a ground floor apartment because my elderly Mum has mobility issues and I think a lot of people who are searching for ground floor living are the same. It would be really helpful if there had been a grab rail on the steps up to the bedroom also. Other than that, we couldn't fault this wonderful little apartment, which is ideal for all amenities and is well equipped and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again without a moment's hesitation.

"Everything was perfect with huge attention to detail."
Pure luxury! TV in every room, lovely crisp bed linen and soft towels. Every facility you can think of was included. Annie our host, was a delight. The location was perfect, so we only used the car for one day. Weymouth is very genteel, with plenty to see. We also used the great public transport system to visit other places. 100%. We'll be back!
-
"This is the fourth year that we have stayed at this property and we intend booking again next year."
Its a very nice property with a central location for both sides of the harbour

"The standard never drops, this time it improved with the LED lights under the cooker hood, the new mattress and a couple of other noticeable things."
It is now like a second home to us and we've already booked again for our second annual stay with Annie, Weymouth's loveliest landlady. Stayed March 2018
-
"Waterside is still the best property we have ever rented."
It is always maintained to the same high standard and remains very well equipped. The Owner is our favourite landlady and has become a friend. We had friends to stay for three nights and they too were very impressed. We have already booked for March and will undoubtedly book for September/October as we always visit Weymouth twice every year. Stayed November 2017.

"The apartment was in a fantastic location, very clean and spacious and right opposite the harbour."
Nearby was a fabulous beach, with many restaurants and shops nearby. We were over the moon with the apartment and the parking permit was a real bonus. We would definitely recommend 'Waterside' and will be looking to book again for next year - stayed July 2016
-

"This has to be one of the best examples of a holiday rental for four that we have ever had, anywhere!"
Spotlessly clean, high spec, modern living, everything says 'quality'. The property has been beautifully renovated and all the equipment is high quality. Add superb hosts and there is nothing left to be said. We have booked again already for later in the year and will be back next year too. Thank you, Annie & James, for your lovely apartment and for being so welcoming and helpful. Stayed June 2016

"The property was fantastic."
It was in an excellent location so just perfect for a long weekend, as once we had parked our car we could walk to everything. The property was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Everything you could possibly want was catered for and more. There was milk in the fridge on arrival and fresh flowers in the lounge, which was such a lovely touch. We will definitely be going back There was just one thing missing and that was a full length mirror in the 2nd bedroom - but this is definitely not a complaint just an observation. Stayed October 2015
-

"Waterside is just fantastic!"
It is spotlessly clean and well equipped. This really is a perfect place to stay. The location is excellent as its within easy walking distance of everything Weymouth has to offer. The owners who live above are the nicest people you could wish to meet and we were made to feel welcome immediately, they were both very friendly and helpful and without any doubt at all we will be returning there again
