  • "We had a lovely week at the property."

We found it clean and comfortable. It was well equipped. Had quite a few steps when coming in back or front way but I managed them even with bad knees. It's located very well ,not far to shops , beach and pubs. Plenty to do in Weymouth with nice places to eat. We will definitely be booking Weybury Cottage again.

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We look forward to you staying again in the future. Kind regards, Rebecca Property Owner

  • "The cottage is beautiful."

In a great spot close to the harbour etc. very spacious. Clean and mostly well maintained. However there was some damage to draws etc. The information needs to advise of the steep steps to the top bedroom and the small steps on the decking. It's very hard to get the suitcases into the property The tv in the main room is too small. The conservatory needs blinds. It gets very hot in the sun and that's the kitchen so eating at the table can be unbearable The pillows are too soft on all of the beds. The property needs an additional toilet. Maybe one could be installed downstairs. Or in one of the bedrooms Finally not a big enough bin or recycling. Family of 6 - we filled the bin and had 2 extra bin bags. A little note too. The cleaner was still at the property at 3.45 and didn't leave til 4.30pm

  • "A lovely holiday home that is only accessible via lots of steep stairs from the front and the rear entrances."

The property was clean and comfortable. The biscuits, milk, tea and coffee were a nice welcome. The beds are very soft. The TV is far too small for the room and very complicated to watch live TV - a right faff! The garden is lovely and our little dog enjoyed exploring it. The location is great for exploring Weymouth and the parking space was invaluable! The kitchen was well equipped. Please supply more than one loo roll for the visit. We would definately recommend this property for a holiday base.

  • "We had a lovely time at the cottage."

The only things we thought might be there were extra toilet rolls. Not a big issue but makes it feel more welcoming on arrival if there was a supply of things like that. I'm quite particular about bed comfort as I struggle with back pain and found the bed to be quite uncomfortable for me.

Attic bedroom could do with a toilet as stairs quite steep to get to 1st floor bathroom . Great location behind the harbour so close to the nothe gardens , harbour and beach . Would definitely recommend a stay.

  • "We booked Weybury Cottage on the last minute, and I'm very pleased we did."

This cottage was great, clean, dog friendly and was in an excellent location. I was a little worried when I read the review about the parking, but it was fine, we had no problems. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. Loved my holiday in Weymouth, so did my husband, son and our 2 dogs and we will be returning. I would have no hesitation in booking Weybury Cottage again.

  • "Our stay at Weybury Cottage was very pleasant."

The home is simply comfortable and well equipped. The location is 5 mins walk from the town centre and is ideal for exploring Weymouth, visiting local restaurants or a base to wander along the coast. Parking is a bit tight but doable and the property is not ideal for those who may struggle with steep stairs and steps - you are in a part of town that has steep roads as well. The kitchen was functional for our needs and the bathroom was clean and offered shower or bath. The information book is well constructed and very informative. This is not a palace but a small home away from home. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and was pleased with our choice - definitely recommended.

  • "Lovely property."

Spotlessly clean. Walking distance to beach, shops etc. Plentry of restaurants if you don't feel like cooking. Well equipped kitchen if you do. Lovely white bedding and towels provided. Parked two cars in space which was very convenient as parking seems to be problematic in Weymouth (we got two cars in the space). Turn into access road to space is tight but you get used to it. Steps are a little steep for older generation. A very comfortable stay.

Issues with cleanliness above dining table on shelf, dead flies and wasps, masses of cobwebs on roof. Above head height cleaning needs reviewed, was told it isn't done by rental company. Apart from that excellent holiday.

Everything you need, beautifully decorated, lots of space, off road parking, lovely outside area to sit. Great location, easy access to the harbour and town, everything in walking distance. Would not hesitate to book again. Highly recommend this property, the owners should be very proud to own such a beautiful place. I could have easily moved in

  • "House was great and in the best spot in Weymouth it was so peaceful and not overlooked, the owners have done a great job."

We have stayed in this part of town before and there’s such a nice vibe and we found a few new places as well. Couple of previous reviews around parking nearly put us off but there were no issues for us and it was great having a parking spot to forget about the car which is the big plus. Simply put, we didn’t want to leave.

This period property boasts a contemporary interior throughout, with splashes of traditional cottage charm including the stone surround fireplace, feature walls and rustic cottage-style doors.

Enter the property off a tucked away pavement and be welcomed by the choice of two sitting areas to enjoy; take your pick from the snug where you can wind down with a good book in hand, or venture into the sitting area of the open-plan living space to snuggle down in front of the TV, accompanied by a well-equipped kitchen hosting everything you need to rustle up a tasty meal to enjoy at the dining table whilst reminiscing on the day’s adventures.

Moving through the property to the first floor, there are three spacious bedrooms; made up of two doubles and a twin room, each bedroom being light and airy, offering a lovely spot to unwind after a busy day exploring all the delights that Weymouth has to offer.

There is a bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC for all of your party to freshen up in, where you can choose from a refreshing shower or a relaxing bath to begin your day.

A short stroll down to Hope Square offers restaurants, tearooms and pubs providing delicious local food and ales, while you can also walk through the square to reach Weymouth’s Old Harbour and watch the boats and yachts pass under the town bridge for the ultimate romantic evening.

The town centre and award-winning Blue Flag beach is also within walking distance, where there are a range of activities to get involved in from Punch and Judy shows, amusement arcades, boat trips or simple bucket and spade fun.

The beach is backed by a wonderfully charming Georgian esplanade where there are more pubs and restaurants along with tourist shops and ice cream parlours.

If you fancy venturing out of Weymouth, you may enjoy a picturesque drive along the Jurassic Coast to a few of the pretty Dorset villages such as Abbotsbury or Cerne Abbas where you can stop and soak up the scenery and have a delicious Dorset cream tea or a Sunday lunch in a traditional homely pub.

However, you choose to spend your holiday, Weybury Cottage provides the perfect base for a getaway with family or friends in a popular location.

About the location

BREWERS QUAY HARBOUR

Dorchester 8.7 miles; West Lulworth 15.8 miles

Brewers Quay is the old Victorian brewery situated at the heart of the harbour, in Weymouth, Dorset. Much of the grade II listed complex and surrounding brewery buildings date from the late 1800 early 1900’s and many have stones inlaid commemorating their construction year. This area is now a popular destination with many restaurants, café and bars, creating a vibrant culture, where you can relax with a drink and watch the world go by. Tucked away down the harbourside streets, you will find original Tudor harbour buildings, estimated to have been built in 1600 and well worth a visit, with a very interesting history to share. You will also find the Weymouth Museum, with some incredible exhibitions, and the harbour is also home to the lifting bridge, where you can watch the luxury yachts head out to sea, and then walk over the bridge to the town's winding streets of boutique shops and the seafront esplanade and beach. There is more to this seaside town than meets the eye; Brewers Quay is a much-loved holiday destination in Weymouth!
