The property

Winkle Cottage is a delightful cosy retreat, located just off of Hope Square and Brewer’s Quay in the heart of Weymouth.

Weymouth's historic harbour is just a 2 minute walk away and this central location provides easy access to Weymouth’s town and award winning blue flag beach, not to mention other areas of beauty such as Newton’s Cove.

This cottage would be perfect for anyone looking to explore Dorset, the Jurassic Coast or to simply escape and relax for a while. The cottage dating back to the 1850’s has been newly renovated into a contemporary home. The two king-sized bedrooms make it ideal for couples, while the three bedrooms overall offer flexibility for families or groups of friends. Parking is available on the road or to the side of the property (which is accessible from Franchise Street).

Parking is free of charge and on a first come first served basis.

Upon entry to this little gem of a cottage, you will be greeted by a stylish living room inviting you to take the weight off your feet whilst you relax.

This living space is open plan with the cottage style dining area – perfect to gather around for delicious food or games nights!

Leading off of this is a downstairs cloakroom and the modern fitted kitchen, complete with dishwasher, induction hob, electric oven and refrigerator.

Venture outside to the rear garden, where you can enjoy a morning coffee or an evening drink in the courtyard.

The raised gravelled area is perfect for sunbathing on warmer days, and the outdoor furniture invites you to dine alfresco when the weather allows. Once it is time to rest, the staircase just off the dining area leads up to the sleeping quarters which are spread over 2 floors.

On the first floor is a king-sized bedroom, a twin bedroom and the slick contemporary shower room, with a large walk in rain shower, perfect for refreshing after a day at the beach.

Up a further flight of stairs is another king-sized bedroom, with dual aspect windows. The window to the rear of the property allows beautiful views of some of the harbour and bay, which is particularly beautiful at night time when lit up.

If you manage to tear yourself away from the charming Winkle Cottage, you will be able to explore the wide range of attractions within Weymouth and the wider Dorset / Jurassic Coast area.

Start with a visit to the SEA LIFE Centre in Weymouth to admire marine life in all of its splendour.

Afterwards, take a tour of the historical Nothe Fort, offering panoramic views of the surrounding area.

Portland Castle, a part of Henry VIII's coastal fortifications, is another must-see.

Go and soak up the bustling atmosphere at Weymouth Harbour, lined with quaint eateries and independent shops.

Don't miss the opportunity to learn about local history at Sandsfoot Castle, overlooking the enchanting Portland Harbour.

For a day of calm, head to Greenhill Gardens where beautiful flower beds and stunning sea views await.

Lastly, Sandworld Weymouth takes you to a different world altogether with their magnificent sand sculptures.

Every moment at Winkle Cottage and its surroundings will be etched in your memory, ensuring your return to this splendid retreat.
