"The property was in a nice location."
The beds were comfortable and even though it was small, it was just about big enough for a short stay. However, it was very dusty and there was a lot of mould. The kettle was full of limescale. We ended up returning a day early.
Very sorry to hear that. I can only apologise. We will address your concerns. Property Owner

"Our third stay at this cottage."
A great location to get to places as well as two good pubs, a kids playground and a couple of shops nearby. The village is pleasant to walk around and to other places from. The cottage is well equipped with a beautiful garden and an area just for us. Internet a bit temperamental. Great to see the bats again.
-
"Lovely little cottage which had everything we needed for a comfortable stay."
Helpful and friendly owners, liked the welcome of apple juice and biscuits.

"This is a lovely, cosy cottage in a tranquil setting."
The patio and garden area are great when the sun shines. Little touches such as the juice and cookies left in the kitchen for arrival were nice and Mike, the owner, was on hand to welcome us for our stay. It is conveniently located a short drive (or even a walk to) the 'hidden gem' 9 hole golf course, which my husband visited three times. Good location to visit the surrounding areas, coastal and New Forest.
Thanks for your comments, we're glad you had a good time in our cottage. Mike Property Owner

"We had a lovely time only the internet was not great."
Very nice people with a beautiful garden.

"The little cottage was perfect for the two of us."
It had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable. The private patio was a real sun trap and we had access to the beautiful garden which led to a river at the end of the garden. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. We would be happy to recommend this cottage to anyone.
Thank you for your comments. We're very pleased you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

"My Fiancée and I loved our little stay in this cute little cottage."
Very comfortable and warm. Weather was kind to us being early in the year, that we manged to sit in the garden and watch and listen to the nature all around us. Garden has a crystal clear river/stream at the bottom of the garden. We are already thinking of going back as we didn't have time to visit all the places that we wanted to see.
Thank you for your comments. Pleased you had a good stay. We would love to see you again sometime soon. Mike Property Owner

"Lovely stay in this very cute, compact, and well-equipped holiday cottage."
Nice and close to the tank museum and to Monkey World. Had everything we needed, really enjoyed our time here!
Thank you, glad you had a good time with us. Mike Property Owner

"Although very compact the accommodation was extremely well presented."
The ergonomics were well thought out with ample daylight in the kitchen and bathroom. Within easy reach of the location are the coastal resorts and haunts of the Dorset countryside. The owners were on hand for any queries or information. I would stay here again.

"Had a great stay in the cottage."
It's small but cozy and was a nice place to get away to during a rainy week.
-
"Lovely property and beautiful surrounding area’s, including the pubs nearby!"
-
"A gorgeous little property, full of charm."
Very cosy for a winter stay. The owners were friendly and helpful, but left us to get on with our holiday. It was great to have parking away from the road at the front, which could be quite busy. Everything you would need is provided; in some cottages there is often something you wish you had brought. There's even a hairdryer in the wardrobe. Loved the apple juice and biscuits left out for us; a thoughtful touch. We still managed to get out and about most days, but the weather wasn't great. We'd love to come back when the days are warmer and longer. Thankyou for providing this lovely property. I could live in it!

"It was very disappointing that the wi fi was not working."
It was hit and miss but unable to watch any Netflix or online films. The proprietors did try to fix the issue by turning the router on an off which was located in another building. The kitchen lacked a pair of scissors and also could have left a roll of toilet roll.
-
"A comfortable, compact cottage on a bus route to Poole/Blandford."
Minor maintenance issues - bedroom light bulbs, cobwebs and dust on the light fittings, single bed frame broken.
-
"Lovely comfortable, warm and cosy cottage for 2, well placed to visit most of Dorsets attractions, try the fish and chips from the van that visits the village hall on Friday evenings, they are very good."
-
"Wonderful location, small and compact but everything for a restful and relaxing break from the everyday."
Only small issue was spotty Wi-Fi, and 4G flaky in the whole area, 5G none existant! Our thanks for providing a the base for a lovely holiday.
-
"A perfect location for exploring that part of Dorset."
The cottage was ideal for the two of us. Mike and Karen are lovely host and very helpful. Highly recommend this cottage.
-
"Cosy clean cottage in a great location to explore Dorset coastline and interior."
Parkfield provides sufficient facilities to cater for two adults and two 9 yr olds even in variable weather. Garden was available for outdoor dining which provided extra space.
-
"Overall a very pleasant stay."
Unfortunately wi-fi is somewhat unreliable and non-existent in the bedroom. This also affects TV reception from time to time. Some kitchen equipment a little tired eg toaster, kettle, cooking trays. However- very comfortable furnishings, everything clean, very easy heating control. A good location for visiting local area and visitor attractions -all contributing to a restful and enjoyable week.
-
"Lovely relaxing stay at Parkfield Cottage It was exceptionally clean and comfortable."
. Really good location for a lot of attractions. Will definitely return in the not too distant future
-
"Cozy cottage."
Cozy garden. Ideal base for our exploration of Dorets and the Jurassic Coast. Friendly and caring host.
-

Two great pubs within walking distance. In all a place for a lovely holiday

The property owners are very friendly and helpful. Definitely would recommend this property and would book again.

"Comfortable & cosy cottage."
Ideal to explore surrounding area. Heating & hot water just what we needed in the cold snap we had. Pretty cottage & we enjoyed our break here.
-
"We had a great weekend, perfect for our little family, the girls loved the attic room and exploring the garden."
-
"It’s great to walk into a place and feel the welcome."
The heating was at the touch of a button, also plenty of hot water. Everything was lovely and clean. Nice to have a safe parking place right by your front door. The Christmas lights were lovely to come ‘home’ to. A very useful bolt hole for our visit to see our Family living just 20 mins drive away from the property. Thank you.

"Loved this cottage ."
The owners were friendly and helpful and had provided lots of leaflets with walks in local area and other places to go. I would definitely recommend staying here and I will do so again . Clean , comfortable and a wood burner just perfect.

-
"Had a fantastic holiday, cottage was great with all facilities that we needed, good bus links, only used the car once all week, many walking routes including close to Stour Valley Way."
Kingston Lacy National Trust close by and many other attractions.

"No reading light the living room very dark."
Very peaceful location with plenty of local walks.
-
"Lovely little cottage in a great location for exploring Dorset."
-
"The cottage was small and quirky, but very cosy and comfortable."
During these troubled times we felt very safe there and even ate out in each of the 2 village pubs, which had all the recommended COVID security measures in place.
-
"It's a lovely comfy little cottage with everything you could want."

Excellent accommodation for us just right for a relaxing break owners very to answer any queries would definitely go again if they would have us as I did not read all the information and consequently did not remove the bedding & towels into the laundry bag my fault entirely the cottage is in a lovely village location
-
"We had a lovely week in this tiny but very cosy and well equipped cottage."
We would definitely stay again and we would recommend it. Thank you to the owner's.
-
"The cottage was exceptionally clean, and the beds were very comfortable."
The kitchen was well-appointed: it included a stovetop, oven, and fridge, and even a washer/dryer. It also included dishes and pots and pans. The owner was nearby and provided us with milk, teabags, and laundry soap pods. The only difficulty we had was finding the place in the dark!
-
"A really comfortable stay, and idea for a couple or small family."
-
"Very quiet and quaint"
-
"Beautiful part of Dorset - it was so quiet at the cottage and we ate breakfast outside in the garden."
Lovely village with the Red Lion pub being just a short walk where we found great service, excellent food and a lovely atmosphere. The cottage is well equipped, although provision of oil would have been useful for cooking (we bought butter and other food with us but didn’t think we needed oil), and single beds upstairs are small - so most suitable for children or shorter adults. We would stay again.
-
"Television doesn't work reliably despite my adult tech save you son's attempts and the owners."
..just replace it ! Tea towels were too stained and grimy to use and in a house with no dishwasher how about leaving more than an egg cup full of washing up liquid. ...just leave clean tea towels and a decent amount of liquid. .easy fix!
-
"We had a wonderful time."
The owners were nearby if we needed them but respected our privacy. The way the cottage was advertised on the website we had thought it might be slightly more secluded than it actually was (it's closer to the road than we had anticipated) but it was still very quiet and peaceful. The village is idyllic and we enjoyed eating at the Golden Fox and the Red Lion. It's a great base for exploring the local area. We plan to visit again.
-
"The cottage was very well presented with every facility that you would need, it was very well laid out and all in good condition, the upstairs bedroom was very quaint and the children loved it."
During out stay a family member was taken ill, Mr and Mrs Royles could not do enough to help us with our situation and were very kind. We would always like to make a return visit.
-
"The good; location - nice village with two pubs, two shops and whilst it is remote it's actually pretty central to many great days out."
The price was also ok, one of the cheaper places. We did have a great holiday. The not so good; it is very small for a family of four, we had to spend the evenings in the bedroom or quietly in the cramped living room, whilst the kids went to sleep. It is bit dirty (mouldy bathroom etc) and definitely in need of work doing - just lots of little things that break over the years. As per other reviews the internet is not good and the TV appears to have a broken speaker (I changed the audio to only use one otherwise it was tinny and horrible!). It also felt overlooked. The bad - the kids bedroom had a broken velux window, we were forewarned and told it had now got plastic covering it, but on arrival I was pretty shocked that there were large shards of glass easily in reach of small fingers. The plastic covering was not rigid plastic and held down badly by tape. I personally think it's not unacceptable to not either a) remove all shards of glass or b) cover with rigid plastic or wood.

Cosy little cottage with everything you need for your stay owners were very nice people there if you needed anything will go again
-
"What a perfect little cottage."
We expected something small and cosy and we were not disappointed at all. Much bigger than it looks, with everything you could need. Right inbetween two big towns which was perfect. We will be staying again!
-
"This cottage was nice and cosy and comfortable."
It had everything we needed except a view. Unfortunately the windows in the kitchen and bathroom were in the ceiling (velux) and the only small window in the lounge looked directly onto the owners drive. It did feel a little claustrophobic at times. Apart from that the location of the cottage was perfect for exploring the surrounding area. We had some great days out.
-
"Everything was made easy from booking to vacating , many thanks"
-
"The place was lovely but really in need of some TLC it was very clear no one had been before us for a bit (or if they had it wasn’t clean) so many cobwebs in the place, I had to remove a few spiders."
The bedding was musky smell so I had to wash it again as couldn’t bare to sleep in it. The internet isn’t very good as keeps dropping in and out and so I used up my own data. No welcome pack or information but lucky I know the area so well. Mrs royal greeted us for 3mins on arrival then left, the outside light not working until the day before we left which was annoying as we were out all day and arriving home late at night. It’s a lovely place but could be so much more.
-
"The cottage was in a good location for exploring Dorset and the Jurassic coast."
It was very comfortable, and we appreciated having the central heating available if we needed it. The cottage had a good parking place, and a quiet and peaceful setting within the grounds of the owner's house. The owner was friendly and welcoming and on hand if any problems should arise. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider booking this cottage again next time we are in Dorset.

The owner did told us about bats in the roof space on our arrival this did not worry us at all as we enjoyed watching them fly out at dusk but i think this would put a few people off and people need to be aware of it qverall it was a very good holiday nice area to stay not too far from poole harbour [ 9 miles ] we had lots of lovely boat trips including one to guernsey where we came back with loads of duty frees which more than paid for that trip
-
"Very well equipped cottage."

"Lovely cottage."
Everything we needed. The owner was there when we arrived and showed us around. We would certainly go back if we wanted to explore that area again
-
"Lovely little cottage just perfect four our family of four."
The owners were very friendly and helpful. Just about as far as you'd want to be from Poole/Bournemouth/Christchurch as you'd want to be.
