• "We received a very warm welcome from Nicky and Roger and thank you for the lovely hamper which was much appreciated."

  Although the weather was not very good Swallow Lodge was very clean, warm and comfortable to come back to in the evening.. Everything we needed was there, Nicky and Roger had thought of everything. Milford is a lovely village and The Smugglers Inn is recommended for a meal. Beaulieu is not far and also Exbury Gardens. We also spent a lot of time at Mudeford Quay where there is a ferry to Hengisbury Head. Thank you once again to Roger and Nicky and we hope to be back to stay with you again. Frances and Michael

• "We have just spent 7 wonderful nights at swallow lodge ."

  From the moment we walked in to the time we left it was amazing. There was a welcome hamper for us when we arrived for which we were very grateful. The fit and Finnish and cleanliness is first class.the amount of equipment they have in there leaves you wanting for nothing as they have thought of everything you need for a lovely break .when we met nicky and roger they made us feel very welcome and are lovely people was really nice to meet them .knowing they are just next door should you need anything. Milford is a lovely place and was central for all the places we visited ,we ate out at smugglers and the lazy lion both very good ,a shop, fish and chip shop within a 5 min walk .we would definitely recommend swallow lodge for a nice relaxing break book with confidence its amazing.we have booked many places with Sykes over the years and never had a bad one yet but this one is up there with the best . • "This is a very comfortable annex which feels like a home from home."

  Nicky and Roger were perfect hosts who could not do enough to ensure your holiday/break was perfect. The situation is ideal for discovering this part of the New Forest with pubs and restaurants within easy walking distance of the accommodation. • "We really enjoyed our stay at Swallow Lodge."

  Nicky and Roger were the perfect hosts and we really enjoyed the hamper that was left for us. Swallow Lodge had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was also located within easy walk of the village which also had good amenities. The seafront was also a short walk away. If we come that way again we would definitely stay in this lovely annexe again.

• "Lovely clean and warm property."

  Everything you could need for an enjoyable stay. Great hamper with lots of useful goodies. Owners were very friendly and helpful and arrived promptly with additional lighting during a power cut. Thank you. Ideal place to explore the coast and New Forest. A very vibrant, pretty village with pubs and eating places for all tastes. We would return.

• "The owners were very welcoming ."

  The property was around 5 minutes walk to the village where there was a selection of shops, bars and places to eat. The welcome pack was lovely.

• "Swallow Lodge, Milford-on-Sea."

  22/9 - 6/10/2023. This is a small,cosy annex in this delightful village. The owners, Nicky and Roger, are perfect hosts - very friendly, unobtrusive but on hand if needed. The annex is ideally located in the centre of the village, with short walks to several pubs/restaurants, shops, and the beach. Especially recommended is the 15min walk to Keyhaven, with its marina, Hurst castle and the salt flats, home to a number of species of wading birds. In the opposite direction is Barton-on-Sea and Mudeford, whilst inland it is only a short drive to the New Forest. Alternatively, there is an excellent bus service and coach tours around the forest during the peak holiday season.

• "A lovely home away from home."

  Bright and airy and very comfortable. The owners have designed this compact space well. They have taken time to think and provide anything you may need throughout your stay. They were very welcoming and the small hamper with a few essentials in was most appreciated especially after our long journey. The off road parking is a real bonus and essential to us. The little garden is a wonderful. Great location so convenient to explore the area. Can’t wait to return.

• "Swallow lodge was a beautiful base for exploring the New Forest and Isle of Wight."

• "The kitchen was just too small to prepare even a simple meal, very well stocked with utensils and dishes and pots, another downfall was the bed against the wall which was difficult if one or other partner has to get out in the night, super location to many beautiful walks."

  The property is very clean and comfortable and everything needed was there. Ideal position, few minutes walk into the village and a 10 minute stroll to sea front. Owners Nicky and Roger very hospitable and on site if needed. Would highly recommend.

• "Swallow Lodge was perfect."

  The hosts have managed to provide very comfortable accommodation in a great location. Coastal walks the village centre with choice of shops and eateries are close by. The hosts were friendly providing local information and a useful welcome pack. The highlight of the holiday was Keyhaven Marshes Nature Reserve lagoons full of species of birds.

• "This accommodation is first class."

  It is beautifully decorated and furnished and so comfortable. It is well placed for the beach and all shops, cafes etc. The hosts are ideal….they are there if you need them but not if you don’t. The addition of the private garden is a bonus. Would definitely recommend Swallow Lodge.

• "This new and beautifully equipped property is ideally situated just 5 minutes walk from the beach with great views to the Isle of Wight and plenty of space to go pond dipping, watch waders - a glut of Turnstones - and walks around the coast."

  An ideal location to explore the Solent by boat or to travel on the many buses to explore the New Forest and its resident animals. A very friendly welcome with a hamper to get you on track for a great stay.
