  • "Our holiday at Seaglimpse was over and above what we expected!"

! Really comfortable accommodation and very well thought out facilities. A really lovely touch was the provision of tea and coffee and little things like cling film and tin foil. To top it all was the delicious scones, jam and clotted cream, such a great surprise!!! Thank you so much. Elaine Weymouth

  • "Terrible sound proofing."

You can hear every footstep from the accommodation above. Apart from that it was a very nice property with a good location.

Thank you for your comments. As you did not raise any concerns during your stay we were not given the opportunity to rectify any problems, which is a shame. Your review is not in line with the consistent 5 star reviews that we have received for the past 8 years. Our Edwardian flat had sound insulation installed as part of its renovation. We note that you have scored us down for cleanliness which is a complete shock as we are unaware of any areas that require attention (you have failed to specify how we can improve). You certainly did not leave the property in the immaculate condition that you found it. We noted dog hair all over the furniture and flooring ( when pet hair must be cleared up on departure) as well as numerous blood stains. The fridge was covered in dried up spilt cream which you had made no attempt to clean. We were also shocked that opened medication was left on the dresser (we hope this was not cytotoxic). • "The property was very clean and everything you could need on holiday."

The conservatory is a great space and the patio was perfect for breakfast and evening drinks! The property, whilst obviously an older building has been decorated with a modern and fresh take. There were little detail that were well thought eg, soap, extra toilet rolls, silver foil, hair dryer - the list goes on. It was a great to see a washing machine which I don’t think is listed on the property description, we didn’t actually use it but could be useful to know is there. Location is great. We would definitely book there again if we are in the area.

The apartment was immaculate, cosy and comfortable. The welcome pack was much appreciated-scones were delicious! The garden and parking space were a bonus. It was close to the beach and a short walk along the prom to the centre of Swanage. I will hopefully be back in the New Year. Thank you

  • "This was our second stay at this lovely property."

Perfect location with parking, just a short stroll to the beach and town. The apartment is spacious, light and airy, beautifully decorated, very clean and well equipped. The sunny conservatory was a bonus on cooler days and the garden great for our dog. There is some road noise which isn’t really noticeable when inside, but we had noisy neighbours in the room above the bedroom this year so maybe take ear plugs! The welcome pack was much appreciated and we highly recommend this property.

Thank you for returning to Seaglimpse. If you ever have any problems please contact us during your stay and we will be happy to resolve any issues. Property Owner

I’d like to just give one constructive criticism- grab rails in the shower would be helpful especially for someone with mobility issues. We have booked again for next year

It was light and airy, very well maintained and spotlessly clean. The apartment had everything you could need, and the welcome pack was much appreciated. The location was ideal, being a stones throw from the beach and a short walk from town. Its one of the best holiday lets we have stayed in and we have no hesitation in recommending it. Many thanks. About the location

SWANAGE

Wareham 9.7 miles; Poole 20 miles.

The small, family-friendly seaside resort of Swanage is situated at the eastern end of Dorset’s famous Jurassic Coast, on the celebrated Isle of Purbeck and is probably best known for its wonderful, gently shelving golden sands. The little town offers visitors plenty of shops, good pubs and restaurants, some of which specialise in locally caught seafood, and is also well known for its annual jazz festival, which takes place each July. The attractive, Victorian wooden pier offers a great place for a stroll or try fishing, and often used a departure point for divers, it’s a wonderful place to watch the world pass by. The historic Swanage Railway has its terminus in the town and regular nostalgic steam engine trips take tourists for a picturesque 6-mile journey, chugging through lovely countryside to stop just beyond the romantic ruin of Corfe Castle. Nearby Durlston Country Park offers a lovely day out with spectacular coastal walks, dolphin spotting and wildlife watching, together with comfortable viewing points and a well-stocked cafe for a treat after all the fresh air. Take the short drive to Studland, which has one of the finest beaches in the country, surrounded by heathland, together with the regular chain ferry, which crosses the mouth of Poole Harbour to Sandbanks. This truly is a delightful holiday destination at any time of the year.
