  • "Perfect apartment for very easy access to the beach and town centre."

No sea view but that did not matter to us. Parking fairly close in long stay carpark which cost £50 for the week. The outside terrace is useful and although not the best view it was nice during the hot weather with comfy chairs and the plants and flowers were a lovely addition The apartment is very clean, roomy and well equipped, although with so many pubs and restaurants so close by we didn’t do any cooking! The owner made contact before we arrived with clear instructions for key collection and offered any help whilst we were there which was nice.

  • "Great apartment, close to shops and beach."

Very clean and home from home.

  • "The apartment is spacious and nice to have a terrace to sit out on."

A great area to explore and we made good use of the excellent bus services. You will need to bring or buy your own washing up liquid and cleaning things as these are not supplied. You may want to get additional loo rolls as there was only 1. The listing says “on street parking subject to availability with main car park nearby” - in reality this is extremely limited especially on a weekend and the main car park is a 5-10 minute walk away. It costs £50 for the week - payable only by an app, so you will need to factor in this additional cost if you choose to stay here.

  • "Bluebell apartment was a fantastic find and the best apartment that we have stayed in at Swanage!"

It is extremely centrally located so that you can be at the beach or restaurant within a matter of a few minutes. Carolyn was the perfect host and on hand should we need her. The apartment itself is deceptively spacious and it was great to have a dining room. Having the bedrooms on a separate floor also added to the sense of space. The outdoor terrace was an absolute bonus and perfect for drying the towels and swimwear after a day on the beach. There is space outside to drop off and some free parking in Swanage but we took advantage of a week long parking pass at the long stay carpark and had factored that into the price of the holiday so that we didn't have to worry about locating space each day. Overall, we would thoroughly recommend both Bluebell apartment and Swanage as a perfect seaside escape and I am sure we will be back to both!

  • "We had a brilliant week at Bluebell Apartment."

Everything was spot on, I would have given top marks for everything except the kitchen cooking equipment was basic. I have left my comments for Carolyn and Glenn so they are aware. They are lovely people and were helpful and friendly. The glorious weather - a bonus.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at Bluebell Cottage."

The apartment is very well equipped, and the outside terrace was a lovely sunny spot to enjoy an outside meal. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are spacious. Being so central within Swanage was very useful, the shops and seafront are literally only a couple of minutes walk away. We would definitely recommend the apartment and would stay again.

About the location

SWANAGE

Wareham 9.7 miles; Poole 20 miles.

The small, family-friendly seaside resort of Swanage is situated at the eastern end of Dorset’s famous Jurassic Coast, on the celebrated Isle of Purbeck and is probably best known for its wonderful, gently shelving golden sands. The little town offers visitors plenty of shops, good pubs and restaurants, some of which specialise in locally caught seafood, and is also well known for its annual jazz festival, which takes place each July. The attractive, Victorian wooden pier offers a great place for a stroll or try fishing, and often used a departure point for divers, it’s a wonderful place to watch the world pass by. The historic Swanage Railway has its terminus in the town and regular nostalgic steam engine trips take tourists for a picturesque 6-mile journey, chugging through lovely countryside to stop just beyond the romantic ruin of Corfe Castle. Nearby Durlston Country Park offers a lovely day out with spectacular coastal walks, dolphin spotting and wildlife watching, together with comfortable viewing points and a well-stocked cafe for a treat after all the fresh air. Take the short drive to Studland, which has one of the finest beaches in the country, surrounded by heathland, together with the regular chain ferry, which crosses the mouth of Poole Harbour to Sandbanks. This truly is a delightful holiday destination at any time of the year.
