  • "Perfect location."

Spacious apartment. Very comfortable beds. Free on site parking is a massive bonus and via the rear entrance. Parking can be a little tight but not difficult. Reverse in if busy. Good in house internet, password provided. It's like home from home. We would definitely stay here again.

Thank you for your review, we’re glad you enjoyed your stay and felt at home. We look forward to seeing you again soon. Property Owner

  • "Good points: - Location is amazing."

The apartment is across the road from Weymouth beach. - There is private parking but can be hard to get into the space. See below. - Main bedroom has an en suite bathroom which is useful. - Apartment was spacious and no pet smells or hairs due to it being pet free. - We reported an issue with the bedroom window lock to Dream Cottages and, to their credit, they dealt with it quickly. Not so good points: - Mattress in main bedroom was very uncomfortable. We both left with backache. This is the main reason I wouldn’t return. - The property wasn’t dirty but I don’t think the floors were vacuumed properly before we entered. There was dust and hair all over one of the door stoppers. Kitchen handles felt sticky. The oven was very clean but then one of the baking trays had lots of oil on it. Beds and bathrooms felt clean. There were just quite a few minor things that made me think the cleaning wasn’t very thorough. - Freezer very small. Only enough space for 1 bag of chips. We wanted to buy ice creams but there was no space. - Toilet in en suite needs to be replaced. There were unsightly permanent yellow stains at the bottom of the toilet bowl. - You are advised to reverse into the parking space but what they don’t tell you is that this is impossible if there is a large car parked in the space next to the entrance. I emailed Dream Cottages and sent them a photo of the parking situation. I asked them how we are supposed to reverse into our space with cars parked along Crescent Street and a large car parked by the entrance to the car park. They didn’t respond - presumably because they agree that it is impossible! We were very lucky because when we returned there was no car parked at the entrance. That car park simply cannot fit that many cars. - Noise from apartment above. There is obviously nothing that can be done about this because it’s part of apartment living but you could hear every single step from the people upstairs. There was random shouting in the middle of the night and loud thumps.

Thank you for the review. Sorry the mattress was not to your liking but everyone’s preference is different. I have emailed Dreams regarding the cleaning issues. The property is not advertised with a freezer only a fridge which has an icebox. The parking can be a bit of a squeeze depending on what other cars are parked but it also depends on the individuals parking abilities as we have always managed to reverse park into the space. Upstairs is a holiday let I will ask if they can request guests to be a bit more considerate. Property Owner

  • "This was the perfect property for our stay."

You go down 4 small steps from your parking space in to the rear of the property and then it is all on one level which was perfect for us with small children. Very roomy inside, plenty of space for the children to play when we weren't out on the beach which was literally over the road. The parking space was fine for our car however there were some larger cars parked in the other spaces at times which did make it tricky to park/leave the space at times not a huge problem. Only negative is you can hear footsteps from whoever is staying above you, which for the first few days were very late and loud, lots of running about late in the night. But when these people left and new visitors arrived this was less of a problem as their habits mirrored our own. So this could have been more of a negative but luckily it got better through the week.

Thank you for your review we’re glad you enjoyed your stay and location of the beach over the road. Property Owner

Everywhere is within easy walking distance and it's handy for all the buses too. I really enjoyed staying at Bliss on the Bay and would be happy to go back again soon. Weymouth is a fabulous town and I can't wait to go again.

  • "4th time staying in this clean, light, spacious accommodation."

Great location and love being able to use front and back doors and have parking right outside. Good facilities inside- only extra I would have liked would be a hairdryer but this did not affect the great week we had again! Only issue was rubbish left in bin outside which became smelly over the week and 2 bags - possibly from above properties left hanging on fence at front. I called dream cottages within half an hour of arriving and was told that someone would remove asap due to possible smell and seagulls. This did not happen all week and was added to by neighbours.- was not even emptied by bin men on the Friday! Very small moan and overall did not spoil what was another great stay in this excellent property.

Hi Joanne, thank you for staying at Bliss again. We’re sorry there was an issue with the rubbish sacks not been emptied. We have emailed Dorset council about the situation. They have been emptied this week so hopefully it was just a one off but we will keep monitoring it. We will be talking with Dreams about why the issue wasn’t dealt with when you made them aware. We’re glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again soon. Also there is a hairdryer at the top of the wardrobe next to the iron. Property Owner

  • "Wow this is a beautiful flat right on the sea front."

Parking is a bit tight but you can still get 4x4 car in the space but reverse in. Nice and clean with everything you need. Also a manual for everything you need to know about the flat and area. The stairs at front going down to the flat has only got a handrail to half way down the stairs so the bottom half of stairs you have nothing to grip hold of so the remaining half of the stair could be difficult for the older person but there is a back entrance to the flat which is easier. we will be booking this again

  • "Amazing property."

Extremely convenient- just cross the road to find the Sandy beach and 10 minute walk along promenade for local shops and harbour. Off street parking outside, accessed by back door- very convenient! Very light, spacious, clean inside with everything possibly needed provided including extension lead, iron, dryer stand etc. Would definitely recommend.

  • "Plenty of room, really spacious."

Walk across the road for the beach, ideal walking distance to the shops and the marina. Nice living area with kitchen with all that you will need for a holiday. Car parking is tight, Kia Sportage made it in ok, but if space 1 is in it is difficult. Luckily buses are close and easy to use

  • "On first inspection this property was perfect."

It was clean and tidy and looked fresh and modern. As the week progressed it became obvious that there were some areas that had not been cleaned as well as they could be, there were marks on the bed linen and some of the rooms could do with a little bit of TLC. However, the flat was in such a great location and was so cozy these things were not big enough to ruin the overall first impression. I would and have recommended this place to others and would stay there again.

  • "Beautiful basement apartment, spotlessly clean with all the facilities you'd need for your stay."

The owners have taken great care to provide everything to make your stay comfortable, good quality beds, bedding, towels and a well stocked kitchen area. The car parking space was a huge plus right outside the back door to the property, we have a Peugeot 408 estate and had no problem parking but I could see it could be a squeeze if you had a large 4x4. Perfectly located on the seafront and in easy walk of restaurants, takeaways, bars and convenience stores. The harbour area is 15mins walk away with numerous bars and restaurants but does get a little busy so booking a table is a must especially with the restrictions. The beach was lovely and clean with several lifeguards on duty, deckchairs available at a good price too. Overall we had a lovely stay and would definitely visit again and hopefully stay at the Bliss. Thank you.

  • "Lovely apartment but disappointing that WIFI was not working from Tuesday until our departure on Saturday."

WIFI was a mobile dongle that was not made clear. This meant no internet or mobile phone signal in apartment to work laptop. Had to go for countless coffees in coffee shops and pubs incurring extra costs.
