"Although extremely clean we found it lacking in basic necessaries, as in no items for cleaning, only one spray for kitchen."
No spare toilet rolls no spare light bulbs, lack of information brochures for local amenities also no books or games in case of bad weather! Also noticed the curtains in the lounge were not fixed properly, too high to reach!

The bed was not comfortable and the pillows were thin, more quality needed here, but apart from that it was fantastic and well maintained

"Lovely property so clean and luxurious had a lovely stay."
Appreciated the extras like washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, tea towel, dish cloth and the bowl of tea, coffee and milk sachets. Loved the bath sheet towels nice and big. Bed very comfortable like our king-size at home. Ofcourse the views over the marina were great. Really enjoyed our stay would highly recommend.

"The listing is inaccurate."
For instance that is not a “sumptuous king size bed” and we would not have booked had we known it was only a double. The web page has recently been removed to describe adjacent building works that as it turned out have not started - but this gave us several hours of worry ahead of arrival. It was windy last week and we were kept awake by noise from the creaking roof and the extractor vent. The floor shakes quite a lot and is disconcerting. It’s a beautifully presented place but it’s not comfortable to live with. The little touches we are used to - such as condiments - were absent. Sorry, but we’ll not return to this apartment.

"Fabulous holiday apartment, in a brilliant location."
This is our 4th stay at Harbourside Haven and we can not fault it. Very modern and spacious and always very very clean. The 2 bathrooms is a real bonus. If you can fit your car into the underground car park, then that is another bonus. Everything is on the doorstep, so no need to drive, but great bus services also to out of town destinations.. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

"This was our 2nd stay at Harbourside Haven Penthouse 1 and hopefully not the last!"
We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. Thank you.

"A great apparent spotlessly clean, view over harbour fantastic."
Just found it was like living in a show home for me not homely enough.

"Harbour Haven Penthouse 1."
The property is in a very good location with fantastic views over the harbour It was spotlessly clean and tidy. HOWEVER. It was described as having a king-size bed, - this was not the case, it was a standard double. More drawer space in the bedrooms would have been useful. The ones provided are so shallow you cannot get much in them. We had to leave a lot of things in our cases. There were no hooks whatsoever to hang up coats. We came back in with sopping wet coats and had to hang them on the doors. Not a very good thing, but no-where else to put them. The lounge had a "wardrobe" off it, but this was completely useless as it had no hooks or hanging rail. What is the point of that? We felt the whole place had been decorated with a lot of "bling" which looked pretty but was not practical. You provided 8 each of dinner and tea plates, and 8 cereal bowls. BUT only 6 each of mugs and sets of glasses. This meant a lot of washing up mugs and glasses for 4 people.

"Really nice modern apartment."
Location was perfect.

"The apartment was amazing and lovely and clean."
Really couldn't find anything to complain about. It was so convenient to the town and had a great view. An added bonus of the parking space. We have a Ford Focus and managed to get in (with a little jiggling) would definitely stay there again

"Absolutely stunning apartment."
Done to the highest standards. Very large and spacious with nearly everything you could need. Please could I suggest that a cheese grater and coat hooks are needed. This was a tiny thing. Everything else was amazing. The location to shops, restaurants, the beach and harbour was a very short walk. I would recommend this place to everyone who likes convenience and high standards Amazing stay, thank you.

"Excellent apartment, location and views superb."
Sparkling clean, beds very comfortable with good quality bedding. Only one small niggle - no hooks for hanging coats etc.
-
"We stayed in apartment 5 which is one of the top floor penthouse flats."
The dual aspect across the harbour gave an ever changing view and the balcony was well used of an evening. The vaulted ceiling in the lounge made the room feel so much bigger though the roof shape means a little bit of space was lost in both bedrooms (still more than adequate space though). The apartment is immaculately maintained and spotlessly clean with everything we needed for a great week in Dorset. The allocated underground parking space is probably the best out of them all though the access to the parking in general is a bit challenging and a street parking permit would have me rushing back here every year.

"The Harbourside Haven Penthouse 1 was in a fantastic location with wonderful views and easy access to harbour, shops and beach."
The apartment was very modern and spacious with everything you would need when on a self catering holiday. Weymouth is a wonderful place with lots to do for all ages. We would love to visit again soon.

"Great flat with great views"

"Lovely clean property."
Perfect location. Very quiet. Only downside was that sofas could be upgraded. Very uncomfortable and small. Apart from that, would highly recommend.

"On arriving the penthouse was cold as no heating was on."
With underfloor heating it takes a long time for the heat to reach 20 degrees. It would have been a nice touch for us to walk in to a warm apartment. After all, we were booked in so surely heating could have been put on at midday as we were staying at the beginning of December? We were very cold that first evening and night. Also, have to keep looking at the settings for the underfloor heating as it seems to have a mind of its own. Had to keep adjusting as temperature went down. The cooker light was flashing so we had to put in the time straight away to be able to use the oven. The penthouse is no different to the apartments so you are paying more money for just being on the top floor. In fact, we thought the bedroom was smaller than apartment 3. Different layout l know but not much room in there. The double bed seemed smaller and a firmer mattress compared to apartment 3. That being said, we felt comfortable there, at least we had a parking space where apartment 3 has no parking space. All the other apartments do have car spaces at the venue. The south westerly winds hits the side of the building and quite a few nights we felt like we were on a ship.

"This is a light, airy, good quality apartment with striking furnishings and ornaments."
The lounge has a great view over the harbour. The location of the apartment is excellent, being a couple of minutes’ walk from the centre of Weymouth. The kitchen is particularly large and has a good range of appliances. The bedrooms are snug, but have useful sized wardrobes with hangers but no low shelves. The welcome pack of a few tea bags and coffee sachets is the least generous we have ever seen. The sheet of information in the kitchen is most unwelcoming and makes the guests feel uneasy, in case they should do something wrong and incur a substantial penalty. There are no instructions for any of the appliances despite the information book saying that they were in the boiler cupboard. This meant a lot of trial and error when using the microwave. There is not enough crockery. You need enough to fill the dishwasher and still have some to use. Having a parking space seemed great until we realised that it would not accommodate anything bigger than a Mini. The voucher for a distant car park is useful, just hope it doesn’t rain. The lounge area would be improved by a smaller dining table, the present one is amazing but takes up too much room, as do the dining chairs. However, we did not break anything and had an enjoyable holiday.

"Listed as penthouse 1 but failed to see how it warranted this ."
2 very small bedrooms and beds, with bathroom and shower room uncomfortably crushed. Nowhere to hang clothing, due to lack of hangers no chest of drawers but probably unable to fit into the rooms Small sitting/dining room with sofa(very small 2x2 seaters) on top of table. Kitchen very large in comparison, could have given some of this space (under-used by holiday makers) room to bathroom and dinning area. Nowhere to hang coats but there was a 4 peg coat hook in a cupboard on a shelf. Didn't bring drill and screws with us to put it up. Glass/silver furniture looked pretty but not suitable for a holiday let, especially as we were not to mark it and expected to leave it clean!! Only the fact it was on the top floor supposedly gave it penthouse status. Info left in apartment more about the rules on use and cleanliness, we wondered what the cleaners would be doing, when we were asked to leave it in the state we found it. Rules went too far. Not suitable for children, not suitable for anyone who wanted to relax due to the threat of charges that could apply if you didn't comply. Never had this in any apartment we have booked before. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone It didn't warrant the charge for the weeks use. Won't use it again we all wiched we had booked the place we stayed previously.

"This is a fantastic apartment with amazing views of the inner Harbour."
The decor was lovely and the cleanliness was great. It would however have been nice to have a welcome pack available on arrival to include things such as bread and milk. The only thing that marred the holiday was the on-site car parking facility which was difficult to drive in given the very tight cornering and would only realistically accommodate small cars. Not being able to park here would mean having to park in one of the nearby car parks which could get expensive over the course of the stay given no agreement seems to have been made with other car park owners for reduced price/free parking. There is a car parking permit left for you to use but the car parks seem to be for use to visit local attractions rather than for 'permanent' overnight parking. As such most permit locations are quite a walk from the apartment. There are strict rules left in the apartment and can come across as quite regimented and maybe even a little condescending. All that said we did have a great holiday, just a shame about the parking.

"The apartment had a great view of the marina and was fantastic, very spacious, clean and comfortable, and had great high quality fixtures and fittings."
The beds in particular were really comfortable. The apartment is in a great part of Weymouth, very close to the beach and the historic harbour with all its great bars and restaurants. The on site car parking was the only thing that was really disappointing. You only find out when you have paid and receive the directions from Sykes what the real issues with the car park are, in terms of size restrictions due to the ridiculous 90 degree turn when driving in. I think this should be reflected on the booking page - onsite parking is only available for cars under 3.8 metres in length. Whilst it is mentioned in the reviews, I think the information page should also reflect this. We used the parking permit which required a 10 minute walk to the nearest car park available in the scheme, which caused problems as we were away with my 86 year old Mum. All the table mats in the flat are mirrored, so no good for putting hot dishes on, yet the rules in the flat state that you have to use the mats or you will be charged for making indelible marks on the table. I did speak to one of the cleaning supervisors about this and she was great - very helpful and interested in our experience and and really took this on board, including the unwelcoming tone of the "rules" board, so hopefully she has been able to rectify these issue after talking to the owner. There are a few other minor niggles, such as no coat hooks and no towel rails anywhere, particularly the kitchen, (though there is an airer available) and only one bedside light in the second bedroom. The other niggles were in the kitchen crockery and glasses etc which, considering the money spent on the furniture, and the cost of the apartment itself, all seemed a bit of an after thought. Thick wine glasses, no beer glasses, small mugs only etc, and no tray or cafetiere. Again, I gave feedback to the cleaning supervisor on some of these points and she took on board the feedback. But, apart from the carpark, these are minor niggles and are given simply for feedback, to hopefully be amended for future holiday makers. None of them ruined our holiday! The apartment was really great and we had a lovely time. It was particularly good for my Mum, who could sit on the Balcony in the sun and just watch the boats etc. She is now in love with Weymouth!

"Apartment was in a great location with beautiful views over the harbour."
Beautiful decor and immaculate throughout. Only criticism would be the check-in time of 5 pm. This is very late in the day, especially when you have luggage so I think the owner needs to organise secure storage facility so you can arrive early, drop your bags off, then enjoy the day. No hairdryer but fortunately took my own.

"It is a lovely place with wonderful views the only reason for the slight downgrade in facilities is the parking."
-
"The cooker, hobs and microwave were impossible to work."
Instructions should have been left in detail. The flat was spacious, though looked very cheaply decorated. Worst aspect of the property was the ground floor parking - absolutely awful - far too narrow entrance area and turning area : caused scraping to front of my car on both sides.
-
"Would recommend more drawer space in the main bedroom as the shallow drawers hold very little."
A second door key would have enhanced our holiday as we were two couples and could not easily go out separately. Also highlight the distance to the Nothe car parks.

"Stunning Penthouse in a great location overlooking the marina with fantastic views."
-
"My son and I stayed here during June and had the most fantastic week."
The apartment was amazing with the most fabulous views. We would definitely stay again.
-
"The furnishings in the property are very bling and not of good quality."
The kitchen equipment is limited
-
"The holiday was great and the apartment was really nice."
Very well equipped and great location. My only issue was being accused of burning a mattress upon checkout which we absolutely did not do. Im assuming this was resolved as I have not heard back from customer services.

"Very modern apartment with lovely views over Weymouth inner harbour."
Furnished more like a showhome, this is somewhere to just enjoy the view, Bright white kitchen with lots of cupboards,(couldn't initially find cutlery-was in a secret drawer underneath hob!!) comfortable beds, sofa not so. Had some technical problems with internet( which I was aware of before going, but took all week to solve) and the television which entailed the purchase of an extra aerial by their very helpful maintenance man Dave. Hopefully issues which will be fixed for the future. It helped that there was a Dream Cottages office in the town where I could talk to an actual person rather than on the phone. Be aware that the garage space is very limited, small car only, which was fine by me. Loved Weymouth
