"Beautiful apartment, fantastic sea views, very warm, bedroom window could not ..."
Beautiful apartment, fantastic sea views, very warm, bedroom window could not be opened, had a note saying cord was broken and not to open, so no fresh air in twin room, also a detachable shower would be better than a static one, everything else was perfect,

"The rubbish bin had not been emptied so we had to put our rubbish in large bins across the road."
Only one set of keys provided. No drawers in double bedroom. Despite all of the above we had a brilliant holiday and would stay here again.

"Wessex View is a beautiful property with period features and an amazing view."
The road is busy and obviously there was traffic noise but we expected this. There was everything we could need in the flat & it's just a short walk into town. The only issue for us was the mattress which wasn't the most comfortable if you gave back problems.
-
"Superb property, exactly as listed and in a perfect location on esplanade with beach and all amenities on doorstep."
Very practical layout and star attraction being front room with huge windows overlooking sea. Had a perfect stay and one of our family’s favourite UK breaks ever. If there’s an observation, it’s the double bedroom - a little on the small side with minimal storage and a seemingly worn and uncomfortable mattress. Nothing some shelving in wardrobe and a new mattress wouldn’t resolve. Overall, an amazing property for our holiday.

"We enjoy staying to Wessex View, love its location and have booked again for next year."
Even better if … the base of the WC could be silicone sealed to prevent constant odour of urine. The standard of cleaning is marginal, seems to be done in a hurry. The Dream Cottage staff are very friendly & couldn’t be more helpful whenever we contacted them. It was lovely having a mattress topper on the bed making it very comfortable.

"The loo was difficult to flush, sometimes it did it but most of the time it didn't want too."
Under the sofas hadn't seen a hoover for a while. On the plus side the flat was very comfortable and the shower was very good. The kitchen had everything you needed to cook a meal, The view was brilliant not just the sea but great for people watching

"Leaking radiator in the bathroom and the WiFi was appalling."
Using a ‘Post Office’ router, which are terrible and basic, with a speed of about 7.8mbps. The WiFi kept dropping off regularly and the hotel next had better WiFi as we kept picking up their signal. The speed shows that they are on basic ADSL speed and not Fttc (FTTP not available for the address) hence the slow speed. It became unusable.

"Lovely property, very convienent for the town, Weymouth attractions, walks on the beach, RSPB Radipole Lake and lovely local restaurants."
Also great for trips further afield Portlnd Bill, Lulworth Cove, Athelhampton House and Monkey World. Highly recommend.

"We thought the property was very well presented."
The initial photos looked excellent when we decided to book our holiday. On arrival we were equally impressed with the overall appearance, comfort and cleanliness, a very enjoyable experience.
-
"A beautiful apartment with everything that we needed and more."
Perfect location and the parking space was a massive bonus. The apartment was beautifully designed and the selection of games, toys, books and DVD’s really was appreciated. The only problem we did have was only 1 set of keys, but we used the keysafe daily.

"Returned to Wessex View this year following our first visit last summer."
It was just as we remembered, fabulous in every way. The location, the views, the apartment itself. Comfortable, clean and with everything you need for a family holiday.
-
"Absolutely lovely apartment."
It was so thoughtfully furnished and such a breath of fresh air to have so many items that are suitable for families. Perfect location for the beach and for looking out to sea over a morning coffee. Totally gorgeous.
-
"It’s a lovely apartment and we regularly stay in it."
It’s well maintained and cleanliness has improved. The dble bed bedroom would really improve if : a) the beside bed lockers weren’t so unstable and the lights were reading lights a) the duvet is a bit shabby & tired looking. Otherwise, a nice flat to stay in & we’ve booked again for next year.

"I think it would be a good idea if two sets of keys are supplied."
I would like to see a grip bar to help older people in and out of the shower. we found the bed a little to hard for us with bad backs.

Me and my husband had a lovely stay great looking out onto the beach so close to everything you need this is second time we have been to property next time we bringing the grandkids Weymouth is a great place to stay

"A well appointed accommodation with lovely sea views."
Overall a very comfortable stay. Suggest, extra toilet roll, include a kitchen roll and a waste paper basket in the lounge. Also suggest additional instructions to get to parking area via Astrid Way and Crescent Street and state parking slot outside 30A.

"We had an amazing time at Wessex View."
It’s perfectly situated for those with young children. Everything on the doorstep. The accommodation is clean, the kitchen is very well equipped. I would 100% book again and have no hesitation in recommending to others.

"Well positioned (on the Esplanade next to the beach) and well equipped with everything you might need."
Victorian ambience with wooden window shutters rather than curtains. Sleeping is at the rear thereby avoiding the road noise (only disadvantage of being on the front). Single car parking slot at the rear of the property was closer than I had anticipated. Some late noise from the Bingo hall area on friday late. Unfortunately we left a carrier bag of presents behind (inexplicitly) and are in the process of trying to recuperate it.
-
"Great location, very central, lounge was a lovely space - views out to see were brilliant."
Due to central siting it can be noisy at night time with revellers. Not completely clean on arrival; fridge had old milk stains in the door, there was a popped balloon under the sofa. Mattresses need new protectors on them. Lock to flat door was faulty and worn, any key could open it (we even had success with our house key). Called owner to report, it was replaced the day we vacated.

"Beds were awful."
Uncomfortable Seats were awful. Uncomfortable Location great.

"We had a lovely week."
The flat was very clean and had everything we needed and plenty of space for the two of us. The seaview is a big plus. The only disappointments were that it stands on a very busy road, though maybe we shouldn't have been surprised, given its location, and that we couldn't get wifi in the twin bedroom, neither of which would stop us staying again as we loved being so close to the sea for our morning dips.
-
"Beautiful flat."
Enjoyed watching the sunrise every morning from the big windows with an uninterrupted view of the sea. Beds were also comfortable. Plenty of toys and board games available to keep the kids happy.
-
"Wessex View is a lovely apartment."
It has a good view of the sea and is centrally located. Good cooking facilities for self catering and a lovely comfortable bed.
-
"We loved the comfortable and spacious living room with the beautiful windows overlooking the esplanade."
As we are from landlocked Sheffield the sea views were a delight. The apartment was well equipped and very clean. Unfortunately, the area suffered a power cut on Christmas Day which lasted over 5 hours. Our call to Graham (on the number supplied with our arrival information) at 4pm on Christmas Day afternoon was answered promptly and he was able to tell us where to find batteries for the flame less candles - much appreciated! We loved our two week stay in Wessex View and would happily stay again. Charlotte & Paul.

"Lovely well equipped appartment."
Great location, off street parking space was ideal. Very much enjoyed our stay at Wessex View.
-
"Very nice property, generally well thought out."
Double bed lumpy, need few more hangers, towel rail in Bath room didn't come on.
-
"Wessex View is a lovely apartment."
Great central location with parking. It has a comfortable living room with a beautiful view of the bay. Furnishings are fine and it has a good useable kitchen. The double bed in the main bedroom was pretty uncomfortable, to the point where we will bring our own bed topper next time we visit. Overall, it's a lovely apartment but let down by the bed quality.
Hi Patricia, thank you for your feedback. We have now added memory foam mattress toppers to all the mattresses in the property. Hopefully this will make them more comfortable when you stay with us in the future. Property Owner

"Was disappointed at size of bedroom and bathroom, bedroom looked larger in the photos than in person, hardly any room round bed and it was difficult to get to wardrobe, kept hitting our feet on bed base."
The bathroom was tiny and cramped.
-
"The lounge was stunning, bathroom/ kitchen fine."
Main Bedroom totally inadequate, there was little room to move around, there were No drawers. Therefore two elderly people had to live out of suitcases. The area supposed to be a wardrobe was an area with a curtaiin covering it , in an alcove. The rail was so high only one person could reach it.. The twin bedroom was again without a chest of drawers. One small drawer in bedside cabinet and a small drawer in a dressing table. The wardrobe was an opening in the wall which contained a baby cot, mattress and a high chair, it did however have a hanging rail.
-
"Excellent location, just across the road from the beach and short walk to the town/harbour."
So many beautiful walking routes close by. The view of the sea from the lounge was amazing. The apartment was comfortable with good facilities. Off road car parking was definitely a bonus. The only negative for us was the lack of windows in the bedrooms, having said that, this would not prevent us from booking here again as the positives far out way this negative.

"We thought the flat was in brilliant location, so close to the beach, town and facilities."
It was nicely furnished with beautiful large windows. We really enjoyed the sea views. It was great to have a car park space too. We did however have an issue with noise nuisance from one of the neighbours to the rear of the property. At night when going to bed we could hear television or maybe computer games coming from one of the flats and it sometimes went on until the early hours of the morning. It wouldn't have been considered loud in the day time but was a real nuisance when trying to get to sleep. I ended up sleeping in the lounge for a number of nights. My husband is deaf in one ear so could put his good ear on the pillow and get off to sleep. The first couple of nights were fine and we thought the nuisance might be a one off when it occurred but it continued for the rest of the week. It was difficult to report as we couldn't work out where the sound was coming from. The arrangement to the back of the flat is fairly complicated and there are many buildings. It was only when we were packing the car to leave on Saturday morning that we could hear the noise again and see that it appeared to be coming from the first floor flat at the back. There was a window open and this was near the window of the main bedroom of our flat where we had been sleeping.

"The property was even better than it looks from the photos."
We loved the feel of that huge living room overlooking the beach with the sun beaming through those huge windows when you walk into the room first thing in the morning. Also the location is perfect, we both agreed we could not have picked a better place to spend our week.
-
"The flat itself is fantastic and the photos almost didn’t do justice to the setting and spectacular view of the bay from the living room windows."
Our stay was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in the flat. Only thing I wanted to mention: the WiFi password is written down wrong in the guest book. I managed to figure out how to get online by looking at the back of the router but you might want to change it in the book!
