• "Lovely, bright and very clean property."

  The owners obviously take great pride in their house and garden, all beautifully decorated inside and garden well maintained with plants, garden furniture, plus gazebo great to sit at.We loved the eclectic mix of furnishings and decor. Situated in a quiet area but near to shops and pubs etc, lovely walks across the river, perfect for dog walking. Would definitely recommend 1 Coconut Cottage, interestingly cottages set on the site of the old matting factory

• "The best equipped property we have stayed in, with everything you would need, just like in your own home."

  Tastefully decorated, beautifully clean and well maintained, with quality bed linen and towels. The garden is well stocked with plants and outdoor furniture, ideal for dogs and humans. Thank you for the welcome pack, and dog bowls and treats. Some more information about dog-friendly pubs and cafes would have been welcome. The cottage is very quiet but the main street with all amenities is one minute away, and footpath over the bridge for dog walking the other side of the car park by the house. Excellent museum and heritage centre by the house. Long Melford is a fascinating village architecturally, and is close to many attractions in Suffolk. Well worth a visit. Thank you for a very comfortable stay.

• "The house is beautiful, comfortable living room, large kitchen with dining area."

  Pretty garden with seating area. Only few minutes walk to shops and pub, but location of house is leafy and quiet.

• "This is a fabulous cottage, very well equipped and centrally located in Long Melford."

  It is well suited to couples or small family. The only issue was the king room bathroom door does not latch properly so it swings open if not locked from the inside

• "We really enjoyed our stay at coconut cottage."

  It is in a really good location very handy for all facilities. The cottage was really well laid out and with all the things required for a great holiday. The main bed was really comfy and the. Cottage was very clean. I would recommend coconut cottage for any one wanting to stay in Suffolk.

  It's a very well-equipped cottage in a quiet spot, even though it is just around the corner from the main street in Long Melford. The owner provided lots of little nice touches to make it feel like a home from home (Much appreciated was the welcome basket). Would definitely recommend it!

• "Another great stay at Coconut Cottage, and each visit never disappoints."

  Everything you could wish for is provided and more. We really appreciated the Christmas decorations, a lovely gesture along with a goodie box. The cottage is well positioned, central to local facilities and great having parking at the door. Lovely to have my dog made welcome with his own dish and treats. Looking forward to another visit next year.

• "We really enjoyed our stay at Coconut Cottage."

  It was extremely comfortable, well-equipped with beautiful decor - also very convenient for all the pubs and fascinating shops in Long Melford. My sister and I are senior citizens and our only concern was the bath/shower. There were no grab handles so we were too afraid to have a bath as we knew we'd have difficulty getting out. There was a slip mat which we used when having a shower - but a grab handle on the wall near the shower would have given extra confidence. Overall, we loved the cottage.

• "Fine overall."

  Well equipped. A few maintenance matters, I left a note for the cleaner to report. Bathroom sink let the water drain away quite quickly so washing meant running the water continuously.. Outside gutter at back of house above central small window leaked water down the wall when it rained. Not our concern but the wall is green at the bottom as a result. Forgotten 3rd item on my list.

  Thank you for your observations, it’s always helpful to know if something is going wrong. The basin sink in the bathroom has been replaced. Unfortunately in heavy rain the gutters, although regularly cleared do overflow, as I also get the run off from next door. I hope you will come back to visit again! Property Owner

  Thank you for your positive comments. I only inherited the garden recently as an overgrown patch of weeds, and I am working on the development of it. As the cottage is pretty fully booked, there is only a small window of a couple of hours on a Friday, for maintenance and planting. It is already so much better than it was! The rambling roses are beginning to get into their stride, and soon the arbour will be covered with honeysuckle, roses and clematis. Property Owner

• "We had a lovely week in Coconut Cottage."

  Very clean and spacious, very well equipped kitchen, comfortable and large beds. Easy off-road parking in front of the cottage, which is situated on a quiet street. We’d recommend exploring the local area by taking nice, long walks. Long Melford has lots of charm and character. We’d definitely recommend Coconut Cottage to anyone.

• "1 Coconut Cottage is the loveliest and best-equipped holiday cottage I have encountered."

  It is truly a home away from home, including games and activities to while away down times. It is conveniently located to all amenities that include access to many walking trails in and around this historic village. We loved it so much that we renewed out stay and left with a sad heart. The owners are delightful people who did everything required to ensure ease and comfort. Grab the opportunity to stay here and share in all the delights it offers!

• "Lovely cottage, kitchen equipped with everything you could want, living area very comfortable, bedrooms spacious and beds comfortable and great shower."

  Garden fine for dog as fully enclosed. Great having parking at your door for unloading etc. initial problem with heating but very quickly resolved by owner who even kindly brought us an electric heater until issue was fixed. Welcome pack much appreciated after a long drive. Will certainly return.

• "A proper home-from-home in an excellent location, right in the heart of the Suffolk Wool Towns, and with plenty of country walks and dining options right on the doorstep."

  Had issues with the heating upon our arrival, but the owner came out and sorted the issue within half an hour. The kind neighbour next door looked after the bins for us so we didn't need to worry about that. Thoroughly enjoyed our time at this property and would highly recommend.
