• "A beautiful spacious apartment ideal for my mobility issues."

  I was able to go for many "walks" on my mobility scooter as the wide level promenade stretches for miles from north to south. The view due east from the lounge window afforded the magical sight of the sun rising over the water, even though this meant getting up really early! We will be back next summer.

  This property is so homely and comfortable you feel at home as you walk through the door and Donna and Peter are so friendly and helpful, they live next door so are on hand if needed but also quite happy to leave you alone if that is what you need. Some great places to eat with a wide range of food are all on the doorstep, but also the kitchen is so well equipped that you can cook all your own food. I can't praise this property enough but perhaps I should stop in case everyone else wants to go there and we can't book it again

Also, the location on the seafront with places to eat/drink and shops being close by, meant that we could go out without having to get in the car - a definite plus for me. The only thing I would have changed was the bed for a king size one as when we stayed it was during a heat wave !

  Modern, stylish but easy to feel ‘at home’ in. It has all the equipment needed for a comfortable stay. It is in easy reach of shops, pubs and restaurants. We particularly enjoyed the walks round the estuary starting off at the Naze Tower. We have no hesitation in recommending this property.

  The bedroom had an on suite walk in shower/wet room, sink and toilet. Out back was a seating area with table, chairs and wooden bench. It was clean x tidy with a view of the sea and everything that we needed for our stay. If we decided to holiday again in this area, we would definitely stay there again.

  We particularly liked the fact that we were in sight of the sea. In addition, there were many eateries and grocery shops in the near vicinity which made self catering extremely easy. Everything in the apartment was very well thought out and we were very comfortable. Although quite centrally situated, we had very little noise from traffic. We very much appreciated the contact from the owner asking us for a time of arrival so the heating could be switched on for us - quite important in mid January! We wouldn't hesitate to visit this property again.

• "The apartment is well appointed the photos show the size of the room’s, there was only one thing I would have changed and that was the bed having hard wooden sides could be painful if you rolled over on to them at night."

  The town has everything you need great places for breakfast different one every day and the people we met were very friendly and helpful. We used it as a base to tour Essex and had a thoroughly great time, we would like to go back sometime.

• "Pros: Fantastic property, I thought a fisheye lens had been used for the photos but no, it's huge!"

  The promenade and beach are literally just across the road. Beach is sandy with the tide coming right in to the sea wall to would be great for sandcastles. Sea is shallow a long way out so safer than many. There are both steps and slopes down to the beach. Cons: The door into the entrance porch is really difficult to open despite having received instructions by text just before we arrived. Luckily the man from the upstairs flat came down to help us. After that my partner was able to open the door but it was completely impossible for me. This really needs sorting out or someone could be either locked in or out!

  It is suitable for those with limited mobility being step-free and having a walk-in shower. The walk along the prom to Frinton passes about 1500 beach huts all in different colours, a very enjoyable stroll. Walton is a classic British seaside resort it has a buzz and is very suitable for young children.

  Appreciated the little unexpected touches e.g. Tea towel, soap, bin liners, tin foil, loo rolls... Perfect location being on sea front, could even hear waves from lounge! Could do with hooks on back of door to lounge for coats or row of hooks on wall just inside lounge. Also several lights and bulbs didn't work. Would like bedding provided for sofa bed for times one of us can't sleep (snoring issues, medical issues, sleep apnea cpap machine etc). I will request this next time. But a wonderful apartment and would come again. Just disappointed that there are no vacancies for at least 2 years!!

• "38 The Parade is a very nice modern apartment that is situated usefully within a short walk of both an Aldi and M&S foods, ideal for self catering."

  There are lots of pubs and cafes also within a short stroll. The lounge is lit up by morning sunshine, and you only have to cross the promenade to be able to get a coffee on by the sea, waves can be heard as the Parade is not busy with traffic. There is a smart TV and large comfy sofa, we enjoyed evenings out and in. Walton-on-the-naze has a long Promenade which is lovely to walk along, and lots of traditional seaside activities, as well as the Naze tower and the SSSI CLIFF walk. We also found Walton to be a great base to explore the surrounding Essex and South Suffolk Coasts, as well as Colchester
