You can take the ferry to Barra from here and is well worth a day trip or head over the causeway and discover the delights of South Uist where you can pay a visit to Kildonan Museum (just a short drive away) and soak up some history, go bird and wildlife watching or hill walking on Hecla, Corrodale and Beinn Mhor, hard work but well worth it for the rewarding views at the top!
The picturesque villages of Lochboisdale and Daliburgh are great places to visit and here you can go fishing and sailing and enjoy scenic walks.
