  • "The views were spectacular as we saw sea eagles for the first time."

Unfortunately, we didn’t experience a single sunset in our weeks stay because the weather didn’t oblige. The cottage was warm and comfortable other than a saggy mattress on one of the single beds in the twin room. The cottage was well equipped with a particularly good range of books on the area and walking. The internet was intermittent and perhaps this should be mentioned in the property information.

  • "Wonderful week in a fantastic location."

Our 2 x gandchildren loved the cottage, playing on the seashore directly in front of the property and at beaches in the area. The scenery is stunning and the weather was good. A great area to visit and explore.

  • "A beautiful, spacious and very comfortable home from home in the little village of Shieldaig."

There is a great library of highland guides, walks and maps to help plan some days out. The view is breathtaking especially at Sunset as the sun appears to drop behind the headland across the loch. Handy five minute walk to the bar and restaurant down the street.

Kitchen well equipped. The bonus of having a piano was very enjoyable! There are lots of thoughtful touches throughout the property to make the stay more comfortable. A short walk from a convenience store, a bakery honesty box and a cafe. Lovely!

Paddle boarding and swimming directly in front of the cottage and watching the sea eagle above the island from the front room were particular highlights! Cottage comfortable and clean. We hope to return.

  • "Excellent place if pricey but so is everywhere these days."

Only hitch was we were meant to get in at 4pm.We arrived at 6pm and the poor person doing changeover was in a panic as she had not long got there having been let down by a helper. We left for 45 mins ,returned ,eager to put our bags ,have a cup of tea ,etc after hours of driving. The helper left and we went in and finished off the changeover as there was clean linen and equipment readily available. We were delighted to meet the person and would gladly have let her stay on to finish with us also setting up.This is NOT a criticism ,we would love to return there one day.WE just want to say if hitches happen with changeover, best to inform and work with or around the clients. It would be a good idea to give the changeover person a mobile number of the guests to inform of any problems. Sharing and caring, matters more than exclusivity in the Highlands!

  • "This house was fantastic."

It was so comfortable and warm. Perfectly located and great for watching wildlife right from the front window.

  • "The feedback we would like published is: “We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful cottage, with the most amazing views."

It was comfortable, clean and well equipped. A beautiful spot in the Highlands and great for kayaking/paddle boarding from virtually outside the front door. Wildlife spotting fantastic too!” We did want to mention too that we were so impressed by the property, that we sought to book up again for next year. We were hugely disappointed to discover an approx £300 increase in price and aren’t in a position to commit to this currently…

  • "What an amazing week we spent at Tigh en Leigh at the end of June."

The house was very comfortable, clean, well equipped and so peaceful. We had a week of glorious weather and no midges! We were out and about every day but it was always a pleasure to return to the house and just spend the evenings relaxing watching the ever changing views. It was sad to leave but we look forward to returning soon. Thank you to the staff at LHH for your efficient customer service, the cleaner for making sure the house was spotless for our arrival and the owners for allowing us to share their holiday home.

  • "Just spent two weeks in this fabulous property which is in a fabulous location."

The lounge has stunning views: we could view sea eagles, seals, otters and unbelievable sun sets. The accommodation is of a high standard and provides excellent access to great Munro walking in Torridon, sea kayaking and numerous outstanding biking routes. Two of our party actually biked to the summit of Bealach na Ba!!!
