"Another fantastic short break in this lovely, welcoming cottage."
The property owners are very friendly, but leave us very much to ourselves, although are always on hand in case of any problems that should appear. Extremely conveniently placed for the town but also for getting out into the countryside to explore. A peaceful and quiet property.
-
"The cottage is lovely and really well presented."
It's in an excellent location not only to explore Fort William but the surrounding area. This is the 2nd time we've stayed in this cottage which is something we have never done before.
-
"The property is well located, the cottage has a property to the back that can not be seen in the pictures."
When we enter to a smell of damp witch was off putting even though the windows were open. The picture in the Main bedroom above the bed needs looking at, and the ceiling lights all round could do with a dust. No enclosed garden for the dog to let off lead The cottage over all has a homely feeling with the coal fire which we loved, so many good memories. The heating is electric so it can get a bit cold, so take some extra blankets in the cooler/ winter months Over all a very good stay , worth booking

"Amazing property, clean and presentable."
There was everything we needed and more to make our stay comfortable. One possible suggestion would be for either marked parking or the parking shown on a map, although we parked as close to the cottage as possible without blocking access to the cottage behind we still felt in the way. When we arrived at the cottage, before the dog went in we noticed that the lino in the kitchen was ripped in a number of places and also there were scratches on the back of the kitchen door but not impacted our stay, would stay again and so would the other two adults who stayed.
-
"Very comfortable cottage."
Due to its age the level of daylight inside the cottage is not brilliant. Situated in a very scenic area you only have to walk a very short distance from the door to see the beauty of the surrounding area. Trees and buildings do obscure the views from the cottage and its gardens. That said it is a great location for exploring the region and a very comfortable well equipped cottage.

"Stayed in this cottage so many times now ."
Still have another three bookings! Everyone who’s stayed with me love it too , it’s on door step to town also Glen Nevis , I heard from a taxi driver the cottage is over 100 years old I’d love to know the history behind it ❤️

"First class cottage and the owners First class"
-
"Lovely place walking distance to all amenities of Fort William, but far enough to enjoy a quiet stay."
Plenty of firewood which was great for the cold days.
-
"Good base for walkers and dogs."
Good shops and train station close by. Would benefit from additional home comforts as no heating in bathroom so unable to dry towels. A gate and picket fencing at the front of the main house would make the cottage garden secure for dogs. A small stool in the double bedroom would be good for the dressing table. Cute little cottage.
-
"Lovely, cosy cottage in Glen Nevis."
Comfortable beds, very clean. Good base for exploring the area.
-
"This is without doubt the worst property we have stayed in the UK."
We arrived at 1515hrs on Saturday 04/05/24 and left at 0930hrs the following day having booked the week. Minor faults included broken kettle and toilet seat which would not stay up. The sofa was not as shown on photo,s but was a fabric sofa which was very tired and required a trip to the recycling centre. In general the cottage was in much need of a good renovation.
-
"A lovely, comfortable cottage that exceeded our expectations."
Excellent location within east walking distance to Fort William town centre and the train station. Very convenient for walks in Glen Nevis and as a base for exploring further afield.
-
"Our new favourite cottage."
Perfect position near town but with lovely walks right from the door. Lovely owner too who only introduced herself to ask us not to worry about the candle holder we'd broken. Lovely cottage, lovely location, lovely people. Highly recommended.
-
"Perfect love this cottage it’s on the door step to town , also glen Nevis"
-
"Good location and parking."
This is our second visit to the cottage and it’s still an extremely good place to stay.
-
"We loved our stay at Glen Nevis Cottage."
Location was fantastic. A short walk (20 mins) in to the town and to the train station and Morrisons. The scenery is out of this world. Would highly recommend
-
"Wonderful cottage , perfect location for transport routes and local amenities."
Everything you need home from home. Plenty of room for off road parking. Owners of cottage very close by and very helpful. Thank you for making our Christmas Holiday truly special . We will be back.
-
"3rd visit to this property."
Clean and homely feel, ideal for the restful break we wanted. Can walk easily into town but also straight into the hills and countryside. Comfortable bed, love the open fire. If I had to be critical I would suggest the owners made a mistake not spending a bit more on the recent bathroom update. Although perfectly functional the new large shower cubical shouts out for a power shower.
-
"A lovely little cottage, cosy and warm during our October stay, ideal location for the glens and mountains, highly recommended this cottage."
Regards James.

"This cottage was so lovely, we felt completely at home."
Very nice stoned garden to the front and side. Slept like logs. Never stayed at a place so well equipped. In a great location. Had a brilliant stay.
-
"I’ve loved this cottage for nearly 30 years and now I’ve finally stayed in it ."
It’s perfect near town, bus stops, etc loved it so much I’ve booked for next year
-
"Very tidy bungalow, easy to live in and close enough to amenities."
Was extremely glad of the fresh milk, tea and biscuits on arrival, thanks.
-
"We enjoyed our stay and certainly would book again, should we be in the area."
It is located a 10 to 15 minute walk from the shops, pubs and restraurants which was great. The only criticism is that the kitchen/diner was not really big enough to fit the table even though there was only 3 of us. I suspect that four adults would find this to be a problem.
-
"Great cottage for walking to Ben Nevis and Fort William with bonus of excellent off street parking."
-
"Fabulous, homey cottage with plenty of appliances and utensils in the kitchen, garden was well maintained and safe for the dogs."
Great location with shops nearby for groceries and souvenirs and easy access to quick evening river walks for the dogs as well as longer walks / days out
-
"Great location for town and country."
If you're a dog owner be aware that the garden isn't secure.
-
"Beautiful little cottage well situated on the edge of Fort William so ideal to either walk into town or drive out to explore the surrounding area."
We found it very clean and comfortable and well equipped and we had a very friendly welcome from the owners. It lived up to the description on the website and we would not hesitate to book it again if we go back to Fort William.
-
"We had a wonderful week here with our 2 dogs, the cottage has absolutely everything you need even a lovely pint of milk & pack of shortbread left for us by Ruth the owner on arrival."
Comfy beds, reclining sofas & chairs in living room, lovely new walk in shower. Ideal walking distance into the town, around 0.7 miles/15 min walk. We wanted to transport the cottage back home with us we loved it so much!
-

"Lovely cottage in perfect location 10 minutes stroll to the centre of fort William with our chocolate Labrador Isaac ."
The owners who live at the back of the cottage were very friendly and helpful and even give us some spuds to plant on our allotment when we get home can’t get much better than that Carol

"Lovely cottage, warm ,cosy and everything you will need for a good holiday."
Nice location about 15/20 minute walk into the centre of Fort William and ideal for touring round the highlands. Would definitely stay again. The only point I would like to point out to other dog owners is that it is not secure for small dogs. It didnt cause us any concern but may affect others.
-
