"Ample room in the bungalow, bed & sofa were comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped."
It was a 2 minute walk to the beach Good area for safe walking (from mad drivers)
-
"Really loved staying at Bayview."
It's a comfortable, clean and very well equipped bungalow. Ideally located for exploring Gairloch, Loch Ewe and surrounding area.

"Our 3rd visit did not disappoint."
Fantastic place and we will be back, probably next year. The weather was not kind to us but still went walking and swimming in the Sea. The bungalow is comfortable and we love to look out of the picture window in the lounge. I bought a sharp knife which helped and I will take some job cleaner to keep the job in the pristine condition next time. The host was friendly and welcoming and hope to see you in 2025

"Beautiful location, ideally with good weather!"
Very clean and kitchen fully stocked with cooking equipment etc As a previous review said, there is no welcome pack just to start you off, but not a problem if you are prepared. Lovely for the host to pop in to check everything was ok, in our experience this is very unusual.

"We spent a week in this amazing place."
Ideal for anyone seeking peace and quiet who enjoys literally getting away from it all. The property is spotlessly clean and well maintained both inside and out, and the lochside views are wonderful. Ideal for walkers, hikers or those wanting to watch wildlife and explore northern highlands. The kitchen is well equipped with utensils etc. and there is plenty of wardrobe storage. We had a real mix of weather during the week in August but the accommodation was never cold. Thanks to the owner for sharing this amazing place to stay! I’m sure we will return!

"Location très bien située si vous aimez le calme la nature ."
Vue magnifique sur la mer. Nombreuses balades autour du gîte. Population toujours prête à aider. Rien à redire. Merci pour ce séjour dépaysant et revalidant.

"Our first time at 2 Bayview Bungalow and we wish we had found it sooner."
It is a gorgeous bungalow and the view from the living room window over Loch Ewe is amazing.

-
"Cottage clean and comfortable with good facilities."
Cottage is situated above the coast with amazing views of the sea and mountains. Ideal place to relax. We enjoyed our holiday at the cottage.

"Our second visit to this cottage was not disappointing in fact it was better than last year."
The cottage is comfortable, clean and in an idilic spot but only if you like peace and quiet. We will definitely be back

"We loved the cottage and it's position."
It was very comfortable and well equipped. It would have been helpful to provide bin liners, toilet paper and toilet cleaner or at least include these items on the list of things to bring. For the interest of future visitors, we found that there was good coverage for mobile phone connection in the cottage.

"The property was just as we hoped and in a lovely location."
We met the owner who was very friendly and welcoming with 2 wonderful border collies, who came to say hello. The only thing we found needed doing was 4/5 bulbs didnt work in lamps. It was no problem to us at it was light nights but when the evenings draw in they will be necessary for future occupants. There were spare bulbs in a drawer but none that fitted. Would definitely consider booking the bungalow again. Just a shame the weather was poor but we can not blame that on anyone. Excellent property and holiday, thank you.

"Great cottage, fabulous location"

"After traveling 600 miles it would have been nice to have a hot shower."
But no, no hot water and no instructions as to how to turn on, after an hour of looking i found it had been turned of at the fuse box so turned it on. Which is something you should not have to do, 2 hours later the water was luke warm, so phoned up the no. on letter and the gentleman wasn't sure him self. Water was hot the next morning. This is not what you expect on arrival. But apart from that every thing else was great.

"Very clean and comfortable cottage."
Outstanding views and lovely little sandy bays nearby. Perfect getaway especially in today’s climate, perfect to self isolate. Loved every moment.

"The cottage has a lovely view over the loch and out to sea."

"We love scotland and wester ross was brilliant."
especially britains highest road , the lochs and mountains in this part of scotland exceeded our expectations and the bungalow at 2 bayview near poolewe was comfortable, clean and tidy and the front room view was beautiful . all in all we loved it and will try to return again. there was a slight little problem with the three stairs at the front door ,they are im afraid not wheelchair friendly ie, our daughter is in a wheelchair and we had to physically lift her and the wheelchair to gain access and come and go. one solution to this would be a pair of seven foot folding ramps which can be folded away when not in use. these folding ramps can be seen on ebay etc. apart from this small problem our week at bayview was great and the location is to die for. thank you so much for the use of number 2 bayview................mr and mrs blanche liverpool.

"The view from the window allowed us to sit and watch the Combined Forces Exercise on that week as well as the fishing boat that left in the morning and returned at night."
The cosy cottage (April) is modern with new carpets and doors. The dining kitchen is well equipped and the entrance porch was great for wellies and beach gear. The Owner and all the locals were really welcoming and the farmer let my grandson help him with the dipping of his sheep and new lambs. The road was quiet and nobody drove at speed allowing the children to play on their bikes. We spent many hours on the sandy beaches and walking up the small hills. The local shop was a delight and we visited the swimming pool twice. It was a west coast holiday that enriched the grandchildren lives. X

"The location was second to none!"
The view was absolutely stunning and the bungalow was homely and welcoming. If you want to decompress from the stress of everyday life, this is most definitely the place to come to and relax. Would definitely recommend. Nick, Gemma & Terri-Ann

About the location
POOLEWE
Dingwall 50 miles; Ullapool 50 miles.
The pretty village of Poolewe sits in the shelter of Loch Ewe, at the mouth of the River Ewe where it tumbles down from Loch Maree. It is a pretty place in an area of spectacular scenery and is home to a well-stocked shop, small swimming pool and two hotels. The world-renowned Inverewe Garden (National Trust for Scotland) is half a mile across the bay from the village. The site was developed by the botanist Osgood Mackenzie from 1862 until his death in 1922. Warmed by the Gulf Stream, it is home to exotic plants, imported from all over the world – a must for all visitors to the area. Firemore beach is five miles to the west and north along the coast is Gruinard Bay with its striking sands; a series of attractive beaches skirt the bay and a number are easily reached from the main road. With spectacular scenery, mountains, excellent hillwalking, golf, fishing, wildlife cruises and much more, this is a great area for a holiday!
