"Beautifully designed cottage with everything we needed to make our stay a complete pleasure."
The owner was instantly available when we had problems with the WiFi. There was nothing that we felt had not been anticipated, so we were able to move in and get on with all the ordinary needs of life straight away, leaving us plenty of time to explore the island.

"The property was beautiful, clean and very comfortable."
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only small criticism would be that it was advertised as having an enclosed garden, which it did but was enclosed with Corncrake cottage, so we still had to supervise the dog at all times outside as next door had dogs too. We still had a fabulous holiday, thank you.

This is the fourth time we have stayed here (including Corncrake Cottage). Very comfortable & well equipped. Love the outdoor seating/gondolas - perfect for viewing the beautiful scenery.

"Hi
The feedback is not great because we had no hot water all week."
There was an electric shower upstairs which we were directed to use.
Angus tried very hard to resolve the issue but failed.
The house was quite cold and after a year the heater in the lounge was still unrepaired.
At no point we’re there any apologies or offers of refund due to the poor experience.
This was our fourth visit but will not return- paying a premium of £1200 to have a cold house with no hot water is unacceptable.
Very dissapointed.

"Spent a week in February in Otter Cottage and absolutely loved it."
The location is bang on Scarista beach and the accommodation is spacious and very comfortable, spotlessly clean and well stocked with everything that you might need. The welcome pack for my dog was very thoughtful. There was a small domestic issue during my week but it was quickly remedied by the owners. All in all I would highly recommend.

"This is our second visit to Otter cottage and it was as brilliant as our first."
Allina and Angus are wonderful hosts, happy to help and went the extra mile. The property is like a home away from home and the most relaxing place to be. Lots of room outside for the kids to play and a world class beach (Scarista) a 2 minute walk from the property and you’re likely to have it to yourself. Horgabost 10mins away, a great shallow, sheltered bay for swimming and paddle boarding, Luskentyre another 10minutes further away and really worth trip. The only bad thing is leaving.

"We absolutely loved our stay."
The cottage and location is stunning and very comfortable. We also really appreciated the baking equipment for the days when it was rough outside :) It's great to have the easy access to the beach through the field opposite and the wee river created a nice safe place for the kids to swim when the sea was too rough. At high tide the last section of the river on the beach fills with just sea water so it's nice and clean too. Also, especially thanks for the details of the Doctor - we had to use it to call the on call doctor and get some steri strips when our daughter fell and got a nasty split in her skin on the side of her face.

A beautiful house in an amazing location - what a view - I really didn't want to leave! The Christmas tree and lights was a lovely touch. Blessed with great weather for most of the week we went on some stunning coastal walks along Scarista Beach, at Hushinish and Luskentyre.

Thank you very much for the great welcome pack we enjoyed every bit of it and the red wine was so much to our taste that we bought another at the store in Leverburgh. Thanks also for the doggy pack much appreciated by our pooch. We were absolutely delighted by your thoughfulness.
I put the extra towels in the wardrobes as we had sufficient and laid them out when we were leaving but. I think I forgot to lay out the towels in the downstairs bedroom. Hope you found them OK.
LHH have not asked us for feedback yet but we would just say that your house was of 5 star standard and very generously provided everything we needed AND MORE.

"We had a magical stay at Otter Cottage!"
The accommodation is wonderful, very well equipped and with an amazing view towards Scarista beach. My sister and her family stayed in Corncrake, mirror image of Otter and ideal for a family holiday.
Angus and Allina were most helpful and hospitable, especially as we had to extend our stay due to cancelled ferries. Harris is a very special place and we all hope to return as soon as we can!

"Spent a week at the end of summer with kids aged 5-12."
The accommodation was ideally located, the west coast of Harris has the most spectacular deserted beaches all within a 20 min drive. Scarista is the local beach and accessed on foot in minutes even with small children body boards etc. The accommodation was excellent, like a home from home, wanted for nothing. Never slept so well. The perfect place to unwind, let the kids run free and enjoy the most amazing beaches in the world.

"My family have just returned from a week at Otter Cottage and I wanted to let you know that we found the house to be of the highest standard and pretty much perfect in every way."
The cleanliness was second to none and the house was warm, comfortable and felt like home from the minute we walked in the door. It was great to have items included like washing up tablets, toilet rolls and food bags etc; as well as cotton wool, soap and body wash etc; in the bathrooms. These little touches are appreciated when self catering. The location for touring Harris is perfect and the views and closeness of Scarista Beach were fantastic, our dog loved her walks there every morning. We fell in love with Harris all over again since our last visit 20 years ago, we will definately not be leaving it this long until our next visit. Thanks again and best wishes.

"We have stayed at these splendid and very spacious lodges on several occasions."
Excellent properties in a stunning location offering the highest standard on everything contained in the lodges. Wonderful touches using Harris Tweed, paintings by local artists and literature by Island authors all available to enjoy. The beds are the most comfortable I have ever slept in and the linen is very high quality. The towels are thick and fluffy and the bathrobes and slippers are a wonderful addition. The amazing windows frame the idyllic views of the sea and golf course, both of which are literally a stone's throw away from the lodges. Most of all the Island hospitality shown by Angus and Allina make this a holiday I would thoroughly recommend.

"We had an amazing time at Otter cottage."
It is everything you dream of: luxurious, quiet, fabulous views, stunning sunsets, sea just a few minutes' walk. We had the amazing long beach practically to ourselves when we stayed in August 2012. Harris is like being in the Carribean, with turquoise seas and white sands, quite astounding. The cottage had everything we needed and things we hadn't even thought of. The children were kept very well occupied, and I loved the huge outside/inside porch to keep sandy wellies and beach treasures in. The owners were just brilliant, couldn't ask for friendlier, more approachable people, even brought down puppies for us to see! We had a fantastic time and hope to return someday - it was definitely worth the trek from East Anglia! There is so much still to explore there that a week really didn't give us time to do! Thank you for such amazing memories.

"We stayed in Otter Cottage for a week over Easter (2014) and had the most wonderful, memorable stay!"
The cottage is beautiful. It is clean, comfortable, luxurious and has everything you need and more. The location is just stunning, and the beach just 5 minutes walk away. We came with two dogs and so it was perfect for long walks on the sand, with not a soul in sight. We were incredibly lucky with the weather, with blue skies and sunshine every day. Heaven! Thank you to the owners, Allina and Angus, for providing all the lovely welcome treats and for making Otter Cottage such a wonderful place. We hope to return.
