"We enjoyed the location with just a short walk to town and many restaurants."
We had sunny weather and were able to sit outside (mid September) and use the patio/deck area. The drink and snacks were a much appreciated welcome gift. Checkin and checkout was easy.

"This was a wonderful home and perfect for two couples."
Great location in Portree, with convenient access to all the main hiking destinations. Clean and exactly and as described in the listing. Also appreciated the little Welcome kit from the host family.

"Lovely, comfortable cottage in easy walking distance to Portree."

"Very comfortable cottage."
We appreciated having a playground close by and the easy walk into town. I would definitely recommend this cottage for anyone who needs a washer and dryer.

"We were very pleased with Pebble Cottage, the location near Portree town centre was excellent and also a good base for the west of the Isle of Skye."
Most of the facilities were excellent, the cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. We did however have an issue with the TV and WiFi. We accept that we are on holiday and therefore shouldn’t be watching TV, however we would expect as a minimum that the TV has Freeview. This was unfortunately not the case at this property. An aerial was disconnected from the wall and therefore the TV required the WiFi to use the smart TV services, i.e BBC IPlayer or ITVx or Netflix. This however was impossible as the WiFi was well below 1mb and therefore the streaming services would not work. We had to use our own 4G coverage on our phones which was not ideal either. We rang the Manager of the property to mention these issues and he said that the owners of the property do not watch TV. May we suggest that a simple aerial is connected to the TV so that Freeview can be accessed or, if possible the WiFi is upgraded so that the streaming services work. The WiFi is too slow for anyone to use.

"Great house and great location!"
We were able to walk to town and wish the weather was nicer to enjoy the outdoor area. The house had everything we needed! We would recommend 100%!

"Clean, well-appointed home."
Very nice location. Secluded (relatively) and quiet. Doors and windows worked well... mostly. One bedroom door stuck, but was serviceable. Like all places we visited, it was over-heated. Here's a tip... lower the heat and save money and the planet. We had to turn off (or way down) all the radiators and open windows. Next, give more towels and wash-cloths. We had to go into town to buy toilet paper, paper towels, and wash-cloths for dishes. Nothing was afforded us. Spill something? Too bad, you'll just have to use one of the bath towels to sop it up? Huh?? We are responsible people who want to keep things tidy. We are respectful. Give us the tools to assist in doing that. Next... put up a few hooks or towel bars to hang the wet towels on. You want to be green... start there. Otherwise, where would you wish for us to hang the wet towels in order to not put them in the drier and use more energy. And speaking of the drier... does it really vent INTO the kitchen? Who thought of that? Driers should vent outside. Weird. And that mini-sink in the 'second' bath. Barely big enough to wash hands. Wash face? Sure, and then how do you wipe up all the water on the floor? Again... weird. Stove -cook hood was non-functional. No exhaust fan, no light. Thank you for allowing us to book this home. Mostly nice, but odd. We greatly appreciated the location and upkeep of the home.

"This place was amazing, best place we stayed at on our three week trip in the UK."
When we arrived we actually wanted to spend time in the place over exploring because it was so clean, updated and welcoming. We really appreciated all the small details, welcome treats and local info. Skye is an amazing place and we couldn’t speak more highly of this accommodation!

"Excellent property and very clean and well appointed."

"Lovely cottage in beautiful Portree with all necessary amenities required for a lovely short stay with family."
The property is well maintained and gives a very cozy feeling after a long day of hiking and exploring the island. The property manager, Roy, was very helpful and responsive when we could not get the radiator turned on for 1 of the bedrooms. The only thing I would call out is the kitchen utensils and amenities are very limited - only 3 dishwasher tablets, a very small roll of kitchen tissues and no dishwashing scrub although there was a bottle of dishwashing liquid. Overall a good experience and enjoyed our stay at the cottage.

"One of the nicest homes we stayed in during our holiday through Scotland."
Beautiful home! Easy to walk to town and visit shops, bars, restaurants and cafes. We had a lovely time and highly recommend.

"Beautiful home!"
Highly recommend. Had everything we needed. Super clean. Kitchen was amazing! Beds comfortable. I would say it sleeps 4 comfortably. The futon was not comfortable so I wouldn’t include it in the sleeping arrangements.
