  • "Masada is a wonderful property and suited our requirements perfectly The location is superb and surrounding areas are beautiful -Our dogs absolutely loved it !"

Hot tub was amazing No complaints but perhaps a few suggestions to improve Although the kitchen was well presented there were one or two omissions- A pair of scissors would be useful and maybe a sieve and some scales for those who might like to bake. We couldn't find a mop and bucket in the event of any spillages- also the welcome pack advised that there would be dishwasher tablets-There was only the empty packet ! The welcome pack mentioned a local fish and chip shop at the hotel in Speen Bridge-There isn't one as the hotel ( and chip shop) has closed The nearest one open was at Fort William so the welcome pack needs updating Finally, clothing and children's toys from previous visitors was found in some of the bedroom drawers So, no complaints only constructive feedback Thanks for a fabulous stay

  • "Masada was comfortable and a lovely place to relax with fabulous views."

Few things in the kitchen were dirty and the back entrance that you mainly use could do with attention considering the star rating given, the tv WiFi was very intermittent

  • "The house was amazing and the hot tub so wonderful and welcome on a chilly evening."

The view was spectacular. We had very quick responses from the owners when we needed to contact them so that was super helpful. I would highly recommend, especially for a large group of people. We were 10 and it still felt very spacious. Thank you very much!

  • "Has a wonderful stay at Masada, the trip to Fort William was our first and will not be our last."

Communication was excellent and the cottage had the most breathtaking views. Unfortunately just before our stay we were notified the hot tub was out of action

  • "Masada is a spacious and comfortable house, in an excellent location for walking and sightseeing."

The newly fitted kitchen and bathrooms are lovely. Staying as a group of 10 friends, we particularly appreciated the excellent showers, with loads of hot water. We also loved the fact that there were plentiful appliances (three fridge-freezers, two dish-washers) and a great selection of glassware and crockery. The owner was extremely quick to respond when we needed to contact him. We would thoroughly recommend a stay at Masada House.

  • "We had a wonderful stay at Masada."

Even with a large group of 14 there was lots of space for dining and socialising. It's a fantastic house and the location and views could not be better if you want a highland retreat for a large group. Easy access to the village and near lots of amazing forest, hill and loch side walks. The kitchen is very well equipped and we cooked family meals every day with plenty of space for company for the chefs. The hot tub was a great addition. I'd have no second thoughts to recommend Masada or to stay here again. Great value, thank you!

  • "A lovely property with a super kitchen."

We loved the aga! The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable as were the lounge and dining room. The bathrooms need updating but were adequate for our stay. Great communication with the owner and maintenance man. Lovely hot tub too! Good location for a Ben Nevis climb!

  • "A beautiful house with outstanding view."

The kitchen was imaginatively modernised and well equipped, keeping in mind the number of people who would be using it. The decoration in bedrooms and living rooms was sympathetic to their original period, giving a good ambiance to the house. The only drawback was the bathrooms, which were adequate if you weren’t too fussy! The lock on the back door gave problems, but the response from the caretaker was very prompt. The hot tub was much enjoyed, with no midges in sight!

  • "Our Masada stay was excellent."

Great facilities; with a wonderful dining room; each room beautiful & spacious; very well equipped kitchen/laundry; great views; would highly recommend. Would recommend more garbage bags; the thermostat needs more explanation perhaps? (seemed cool at times & had to increase temperatures but couldn’t work out how to manage); tea towels & hot tub towels provided would have been appreciated as part of the package.
