"Whilst on the whole we were happy with the property itself the fact that parking is limited outside is a problem."
The convenience of the property so close to the main town is a bonus and the road relatively quiet apart from early morning bin collections. The lack of freezer was disappointing it’s no good saying that it was removed because it was broken it should have been replaced. We didn’t need washing/drying facilities but the siting of them in the outhouse was not attractive. Why isn’t there iron and ironing board? I know that electronic info is now order of the day but a hard copy of important information regarding facilities would have been helpful. Although the weather was not great the garden wasn’t attractive enough for us to want to sit outside.
Hello I’m so sorry you were not completely happy with your stay. As I explained when we spoke on the phone, 3-4 weeks before you arrived, unfortunately the council does not allocate the houses parking spaces. All I can do is get a permit for guests but I also try my best to provide suggestions on alternative parking including free parking. The cottage is cosy so unless we build an extension we could not get the washing machine in the kitchen so it has to sit in the outhouse just outside the conservatory door. Thanks for your suggestion on written instructions which we will look to provide. There should be instruction leaflets for appliances in one of the kitchen drawers but we can summarise. We can also offer an iron and ironing board to be brought to the cottage. We don’t leave these or a vacuum on site to maximise storage space for the guests. Property Owner

"We had wonderful time in Foxglove Cottage!"
Great location, on a quiet street, but only minutes from lots of handy shops. The cottage was really comfortable and pretty and we enjoyed having coffee on the sunny little terrace in the back garden. Lovely to be able to walk from the cottage along the river to the quay at the Quomps, and explore the castle ruins. Particular highlights were hiring sea kayaks from the nearby SUP School, having a cocktail in Dirty Gerties on their terrace below the castle, to swimming at our favourite and beautiful beach near Highcliffe Castle (a short drive away). Mickey was so helpful before and during our stay, and advising on parking and places to visit. A really perfect week!

"Property was clean enough."
Conservatory area needs a good bottoming though. (Obviously seen better days.) Garden a trip/slip problem and needs sorting out. Garden furniture uncomfortable and one of chairs was broken. We were very grateful that Mickey sorted resident's parking out for us.
Hello I’m very sorry if you didn’t find the property to the standard you wanted. I am uncertain about the comment on the conservatory. You are right it isn’t new but the pictures do accurately reflect what it looks like. If there was any maintenance issue, I would have been pleased to get it sorted for you, if you’d have contacted me. As I mentioned before you arrived, the gardener had not made it in, sadly due to the unsettled weather but unsure of the slip hazard as would correct anything like that! We found the broken seat on Friday after you left, sadly this hadn’t been reported before. We have left garden chair cushions and other items eg. Shower gels, shampoo at the cottage previously to provide more comfort but sadly they often go walkabout so we stopped. As I said, I’m sorry it didn’t suit you but it really helps owners to be notified of any issues at the time so we can try sort them out and make your stay more enjoyable. Property Owner

"The only let down was the parking - I understand it was first come first served, but we had to park at the end of the high st."
Paying was no problem, just didnt help me being in an aircast boot and then trying to load up the care to come home.
Thanks for your feedback and your message before you left. Being in the town centre the on road parking is limited and I am sorry you could get one of the spaces outside but I'm glad it didn't stop you from having a nice break. :) Property Owner

"Great central location for Christchurch and the surrounding area."
Very close to shops, restaurants, pub, cinema and lots of lovely footpaths and cycle trails. Excellent public transport with choice of buses and trains so no need for a car but there is permit parking near the cottage. Many thanks to the helpful owners.
Thank you so much for your kind feedback, I'm so glad you had a nice time. It was a pleasure to have you stay. Wishing you very happy future travel adventures and Foxglove will always welcome you back anytime! Property Owner
