• "Picture of the house misleading it has been photographed with next door in it , its two houses pictured which means Ocean view is small to accommodate 7 people."

  Need to alert people of steep stair cases. Also needs to let guest know that the third bedroom is a walk through to the garden. The accommodation is tired, and in places rusting, like the showers. The sofa was very uncomfortable ,tired and not suitable for a large party of guest . Very disappointed as it was small and not worth the money spent.

  Marina, thank you for your review, which is in itself misleading. The property is a three story, three bedroom property with three double beds and a single bunk. Along with two bathrooms. More than enough to support a normal family of 7. Your booking was for TWO people, so that is strange. All the photos and descriptions were taken by Sykes professionals and this is the first comment about it being confusing that a town house shows a neighbouring property. The stair cases are absolutely to building control standards and approved when the property was newly built in 2019, so any alert would just to note the existence of stairs and no lift ! The vast majority of guests have provided very positive feedback over the past three years. I would suggest you are in a minority. However, every guest is entitled to their opinion and I wish you well for the future. Mark Property Owner

  Great position overlooking the sea.Had a great week and dogs enjoyed their walks up Hayling Billy trail and Yacht club. Dogs also loved people watching from the balcony.

• "This was my second time to Ocean View."

  I will be back again next year. View of the sea is fantastic. Having a pub next door and a fish and chip shop a few feet away is a bonus.

• "Beautiful accommodation, perfect location overlooking the sea."

  We had a lovely week. The accommodation is over 3 floors with the main living/kitchen area on the middle floor. The accommodation has everything you need including stair gates, all kitchen accessories and appliances, washing line and towels in the garden - Feather bedding and pillows. The pub next door is lovely, has great food and isn’t noisy which is something we did consider when looking at the location. We plan to go back next year as thr beaches are never packed even in August.

• "Generally very comfortable and well furnished property, but there were a few small issues."

  There still seemed to be crumbs around and under furniture/tables. The shower kept tripping the electricity fuse board and shower head could not be set in a fixed position.

• "What a lovely relaxing week with a great view from the balcony of the sea."

  Everything was spotless and the kitchen had everything we needed. Only gave a 9 out of ten because the furniture was too low for me - being an oldie found it hard getting up. Great having the sky tv and a nice pub next door although was never disturbed by any noise from the pub garden.

• "Lovely position overlooking the sea and centre to everything."

  Everything you might need is provided in the house which despite being dog friendly is immaculately clean. We loved sitting watching the ships in an evening when we returned back from our daily adventures. Really lovely way to chill out.

• "What a fabulous property!"

  The combination of parking right outside the front door, an enclosed rear garden for our pooch, a sea-view balcony (remember to take you binoculars as there's always something to see (from a Cunard Liner to HMS Queen Elizabeth), superfast wi-fi, luxury fixtures and fittings, and it's just a stones throw from a miniature railway, lots of walks and I almost forgot... THE BEACH! This really is somewhere special to stay!

• "Lovely property loved sitting on the balcony watching the world go by the weather was brilliant, apart from the master bedroom having sloped ceilings and my husband kept hitting his head getting in and out of bed the property was very comfortable and well equipped and clean our dog loved the beach and the back garden we could throw is ball and not worry about losing it or our dog running across the road, and like most dogs he loves chasing his ball and barks in excitement, however the neighbour at no."

  46 is not a dog lover and shouted out shut up, we were only out side for 5 minutes, but we still enjoyed our holiday and the pub next door was very good and very dog friendly.

• "The property was excellent and very well appointed."

  It had a luxury feel which was lovely. There were lots of little extras that made it feel like a home rather than a rental. It was refreshing for property to live up to the photographs. Despite allowing pets, the house felt very clean and the four legged guests were well catered for too. The proximity of the beach was a real bonus for entertaining toddlers and dogs alike. We loved the glass frontage which allowed us to view spectacular sunsets as well as feeling very cosy on the one occasion it rained and we watched the water run down the windows. We needed to contact the owner following a minor mishap. My message was responded to both quickly and graciously. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in this area I would absolutely recommend Ocean View

• "The house was perfect for us, it is very well equipped and furnished."

  We had a few days away with two of our sons, daughter in law, baby grandson and two dogs. Ample space, perfect layout for extended family, everyone had ample personal space and of course we enjoyed family time in the fabulous combined living area with kitchen, dining, lounge and balcony on the first floor. The beach directly opposite, shops and takeaway food very close walking distance, good pub next door. The kitchen is very well equipped. This is the best rental we have stayed in. The only thing missing for us was having a few board games but maybe after Covid we need to bring our own when going away.

• "Had a lovely stay at Ocean View."

  Great location and views. Nice pub right on the doorstep! Property was lovely and clean. Took my two dogs who loved sitting at the window watching the world go by. We enjoyed the walks along the beach!! We were a party of 4 and the space was fine for us. Although there are beds for 7 I think the living space would be rather tight for 7. Owner very helpful. Would love to visit again. Thank you.
