  • "Had a perfect celebratory weekend at Coombe Place House."

Everyone had a fantastic time which was largely due to the quality and facilities of the house. Already looking at a potential return. Thank you to Louise who responded instantly to any questions we might have had. Great walks right from your doorstep and two very good pubs ( Bucks Head , Shoe Inn ) a short walking distance away.

  • "A great house for a large gathering."

Comfortable lounges and bedrooms. Just a shame the kitchen is a bit small for gathering as a group. Lovely country views and hot tub. Good pubs and walks close by.

Our two dogs loved the garden and the little ones enjoyed seeing the horses every day. Lovely country walks from the house and lots of pubs nearby for relaxing lunches.

It's a beautiful home, and the views of the surrounding countryside were fabulous. We were celebrating my milestone birthday. We felt quite at home there, the children loved flying kites, and playing game's in the garden. Sandra Deane and family.

Good evening Sandra, We are so pleased to hear you’ve had a wonderful time. We hope to see you again soon and happy birthday. Best wishes, Louise and Nii Property Owner

  • "We all had a fabulous time staying at coombe place house."

We booked it so the whole family could get together and celebrate several big birthdays and an anniversary. It had so much room it made it comfortable for everyone. I couldn’t believe how clean it was throughout the property, I’ve never experienced a holiday rental so clean. We all enjoyed the hot tub as well. We had everything we needed for the weekend. And I would definitely recommend this property.

Hi Wendy, thanks so much for the review. We are so happy you enjoyed your visit. Any feedback on how we could improve our facilities would be greatly appreciated. Best wishes, Louise and Nii Property Owner

  • "We had a brilliant stay - 8 children and 8 adults - there was so much room and the place was so cosy and welcoming."

It’s really well placed for Portsmouth/southampton/winchester and there are plenty of walks from the front door. The owners and Jan were really lovely - we had a couple of minor issues which were sorted out straight away. I would definitely book to stay here again, it was just what we needed.

  • "From the friendly welcome from the housekeeper, to stepping into the impressive country home, we had the most amazing stay."

The vast property was stylishly appointed, spotlessly clean and perfect for our family group stay. We're already looking for another time we can all get together, to share cosy nights in front of the fire, play board games and enjoy meals around a huge dining table. The location was superb, plenty of walks across the fields, especially to the local pub and the surrounding villages/towns are full of speciality shops and great coffee houses. The hot tub and swing ball tennis were great fun too. The views across the fields and peaceful/no traffic location made this a real gem of a holiday choice. Thank you for excellent communication and this is a highly recommended choice for anyone.

  • "We had a wonderful stay."

Such a lovely house to celebrate a 60th birthday with friends. The house provided every thing we needed. Lots of space and comfortable rooms. ( A couple of the smaller rooms had no mirrors, which would have be helpful) The views were amazing and we all enjoyed a dip in the hot tub. Thank you and we have already booked to return next year.

Hi Lesley, We are so happy you enjoyed your stay and will make sure to add the missing mirrors up for your next visit. We truly appreciate your feedback. Louise and Nii Property Owner

  • "The house and location were both absolutely incredible."

The house was so clean, well presented and comfortable and had everything we needed (a group of 11 grown ups and kids ranging from 5 - 6 months, as well as a dog!). All the rooms were great sizes and the beds were very comfortable. The living rooms were gorgeous, light and airy. There was so much space to celebrate together and also space to relax. At night it was so peaceful- no light pollution and just the sound of the owls. We can't wait to come back - we've been doing these trips for 12 years since we graduated university together and this was our favourite house so far!

  • "This a stunning property with amazing views."

Lots of facilities such as hot tub, bbq, outside seating, games, lots of books (the owners really like their books!)... you shouldn't get bored. There are 8 bedrooms of which one is a twin and one is a single. 6 bedrooms are double. The master suite is massive with a massive walk in dressing room/en suite. In addition to the en suite upstairs you have one main bathroom, a second bathroom with a shower cubicle and an extra separate WC. This was a weekend away for 9 guys and we had no problems. The kitchen is of decent size and there are more than enough pots, pans, cooking trays, cutlery, glasses, etc. You don't need to bring anything. There is an electric hob and a large free standing gas cooker. The fridge freezer is an american double door one with an ice maker and water dispenser so no need to buy ice. The TV room downstairs is Freeview so if you want to login to your Sky then bring a laptop and HDMI. The view from the rear of the property is breathtaking as you can only see countryside with hills. Be mindful this is an old property so it has old doors and old windows that don't have good latches. However, the inside is clean and well kept. Nearby there are plenty of walking routes. We ordered food from Bishops Waltham on one night which was delivered fine and second night we had a private chef who had no issues preparing our meal with the facilities provided. One bit of feedback for the owners, please put some lights at the front and rear of the property. There are none so at night it is pitch black. If you go outside you need to use your phone light at night. Wonderful stay at Coombe Place House and we will look to come back here.

Hello, We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. The feedback is so important to us and we will will look into the points mentioned re outside lighting. We hope to welcome you and your friends again soon. Best wishes, Louise and Nii. Property Owner

  • "Absolutely fabulous house in a wonderful setting."

Exceptionally clean and with an incredibly well stocked kitchen - we were only 5 people and 3 dogs but you could easily cater for a special occasion for 16 with everything that is provided! The house is beautifully presented but homely enough that we still felt relaxed about the dogs being with us. Janette the housekeeper was so helpful and a font of local knowledge. We would return in a heartbeat!
