12 Customer Reviews

  • "I didn't realise the apartment was so far from Lymington centre you would need to drive."

The apartment is spacious with a wonderful bed but the sofa was uncomfortable you could feel the wooden frame. The apartment is limited for self catering since there were only two induction plates and two pans which could be used.We asked for a frying pan and when it arrived it was not suitable induction plates. We did find The Chequers Inn( 15 minutes away} an ideal place to eat most nights with delicious food not your normal pub grub. The apartment is only a few yards from the sea and coastal walks.

The property

Nestled on the outskirts of Lymington in the grounds of Kingfisher is this spacious, single storey lodge, Lymington Lodge.

Wonderfully appointed, Lymington Lodge provides a romantic bolthole for couples looking to explore the Hampshire region, well-positioned near the shoreline and a hub of amenities.

200 yards /180 meters from the sea wall where you can walk into Lymington or to Keyhaven. Internally, the lodge is comprised of a studio layout with open-plan living space; the kitchen boasts a contemporary finish with sleek integrated units to assist in home-cooking, whilst a sofa, armchair, and TV rest beside the woodburning stove for those cosy film nights.

Appreciate a romantic dinner at the dining table before enjoying a gin and tonic on the decking and taking in the tranquil garden setting.

Begin your evening routine in the spacious walk-in shower, featuring a rainfall and hand-held attachment, before drying off and unwinding in the generous super-king-size bed. If you can tear yourself away from this idyllic abode, explore your local surroundings where you will be spoilt for choice for things to see and do.

Amble through the streets of Lymington and you can expect to find several boutique and independent shops, ideal for purchasing a gift to take home, along with a plethora of fine eateries ranging from cafés to gastro pubs and fine dining restaurants, so there is something to suit all tastes and wallets!

From here, you can even join the 60-mile stretch of Solent Way, which runs through the SSSI area and nature reserve, a haven for birdwatchers, enjoying the area by foot or by cycle, possible to reach the likes of Keyhaven for further coastal villages and vistas. Those seeking a bit of outdoor therapy can explore the beautiful New Forest National Park, home to miles of walking and cycling routes amidst scenic landscapes, plus there’s plenty of birdlife and wildlife to spot!

If adventure takes you further afield, why not catch a ferry to the little island of Isle of Wight, boasting glorious beaches and seafront promenades for a sunny afternoon, along with historical landmarks and several pretty villages to visit.
